  • Top 18 Auckland attractions is the travel video we've been asked for many times. Lots of people travel to New Zealand and spend time in Auckland, so they want to know what to do and where to go. We got you covered with this 2023 travel video providing up-to-date travel information about top Auckland attractions.
    Auckland is not only the biggest city in New Zealand with the busiest airport. This is also a very beautiful region (and a huge one) with so many incredible tourist attractions. And they are extremely diverse. You can enjoy the architecture of the city centre while walking the streets or having coffee at one of the local cafes. Or admire the view from the tallest building in New Zealand - Sky Tower. Explore Auckland's hidden gems like Ponsonby, Silo Park and Domain Wintergardens or pick one of the touristic must-haves including Mount Eden, Viaduct Harbour or Giapo. If you have more time, there is plenty to do outside Auckland city - fantastic black sand beaches (Piha, Anawhata or Muriwai), waterfalls (Hunua) or lighthouses (Manukau Heads).
    Creating this Top 18 Auckland Attractions list was quite a challenging task. It took us many visits to Auckland during the last 3 years to film this content and combine it into this video. Please let us know what you think and if there are any places you can recommend adding - share ideas in comments. We would be happy to do an update of this video next year.

    I grew up there and was concerned in the 80s because by then the developers were pulling down all the historic buildings and putting up all these glass sky scapers that you see everywhere in the world. Now it looks like another Dubai. It looks impressive from a distance -but when you are in town there isn't a great deal that is interesting like cities in Europe have. Its another plastic glitzy place that is unaffordable for a lot of its citizens. My sister and her kids are moving away to get a better chance to have a home and a decent life down in Hawkes Bay.Auckland was a lovely city when I was a kid and a young man , but like every city in the Anglo American model they have gone to the wall or are only set up for the rich and priveliged. Don't get sucked in by a nice illusion when you visit. It sprawls out like Los Angeles and the old farming town where I grew up on the outskirts which was idyllic 50 years ago is a crap hole now where 3 shootings took place a few years back. Even there the house prices are unaffordable!

      @pillred5974 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@katien4704 When I lived in Auckland in the 1970s coming from England I could not believe how cheap things were especially food the problem you have now is most of it is exported to places like China so indigenous people have to pay more same as house prices supply and demand with the demand coming from Asians thus again pricing out ordinary New Zealanders especially in Auckland where all the Asian people want to live if this sounds like a rant about allowing too much Asian immigration then you're right.
