    Fun view of the GR mate. Watched everything for tips.
    PS Did I hear this is your car ?

      Thanks Dave, hope it was of some use! Oh I wish.. I mean technically yes, until I return it back to Toyota HQ tomorrow sadly.. I passed up the 39k offer for the first 1000 that were released, and have been regretting it ever since! Especially now that I’ve reviewed the beast!

      Shop around and seen a base for 46K drive away. I payed 50K. I missed the 40K also I thought the car would flop lol how wrong was I.😂😂
      PS If you can get a good price on Rallye go for it but 65K plus on roads is a joke for a tweaked car on Carsales.

      @@Dave-gl6jbI feel you Dave.. We couldn't have been more wrong about it flopping.. Yeah 65k is just ridiculous! The new Supra's are almost that much second hand now!

      @Dave-gl6jb 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah find a good price on a base upgrade the Tyres simple as that. Rallye unlike the Circuit pack are rare as f--k so unless you got one for $56200 It's not worth the price unless you will garage it for 10 years and then sell it or your rich and want a good track/road car. PS Either version would be great.
      PS I get looks all the time. Just today father telling son look at how wide the ass is lol. Made me happy even driving it in melb crap traffic.😍😍

    The first thing I'll be doing is turning smart key to OFF! A stupid feature, security wise, which at least Toyota give owner's a choice with👍
    Plus using my stoplock pro elite to discourage window smashing for obd theft. Then likely adding an additional form of immobilisation

    • @TalkingTorque
      @TalkingTorque  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great thinking James! It is good that Toyota gives owner’s the choice, unlike many others. Have you been using the stop lock for long? Classic security system!

      @@TalkingTorque Hi mate. Yes, on my third!
      1st was the original basic snap shut version, 25+ years ago, on a Peugeot 205 gti. Also had a separate plug in immobiliser for that.
      2nd I bought for previous car in 2014 and still have it.
      3rd and current is like the 2nd but the "elite" version which has a larger curve to fit current i30N performance pack's steering wheel airbag depth.
      Hopefully one of those 2 will fit the GR.
      When researching wheel locks, only 2 were worth their salt. This and the disklok but latter is very heavy, gets super hot in the sun so not great for you in Australia and more awkward.
      Took ex professional car thieves upto 5 mins to remove either type with noisy angle grinder compared to most being less than 10 seconds by simply snapping them off lol...
      Well worth it. Of course nothing is full proof

    • @TalkingTorque
      @TalkingTorque  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow! That’s incredible! Haha yes it would burn in the Australian summer, probably would become like lava. We used to have one on our Prado, probably should reinvest in one because they’re worth so much these days. Does it take long/get annoying to take on and off? You know so much about these!

      @@TalkingTorque Becomes second nature and about 5 seconds from lifting up from the floor, placing in position and locking lol...
      I'm sure to many, being seen by their mates or a hottie that they'd like to pull, putting a steering lock on is very unsexy but I'd rather return to my car and actually see it still there!!!
      The aggravation in sourcing another and waiting all over again plus the interim hassle is far worse🤣😂

      @TalkingTorque  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahahaha wow! I hope car thefts are not a common occurrence in your area?! Next will be a cloud-based dash cam with 24/7 power!

    The headunit in this is woefully small. They could have made it a full touch panel to fit the mount but instead give us a smartphone size screen. I get keeping it simple etc but there's simple and there's taking the piss 😂

    Any idea why my head unit keeps forgetting my favourite contact?

    • @TalkingTorque
      @TalkingTorque  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe your head unit is hinting at you to find a new favourite contact

    • @TalkingTorque
      @TalkingTorque  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm joking of course haha, but I'm not too sure? Might be worth resetting the head unit to factory in settings, and if it doesn't work, ask Toyota to reset the computers next time you go for a service! But I would just use CarPlay/Android Auto regardless!

    I'm never going to be happy with infotainment screens as long as I have to use my left hand. It's fine for car manufacturers major market - the left-hand drive countries - but it's shit for the rest of us. (Except the left handed people.)

    • @TalkingTorque
      @TalkingTorque  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha without the hand, what do you want to use to control the infotainment system Ben?!
