This season has been slow as fuck…. Like what’s going on with Daemon’s story and why the writers stuck so many episodes and no build up of it??? I don’t know what we will get the last episode but hopefully the finale and season three can be the fuel starter
The season has been fine, but it's bogged down heavily by the showrunners hatred of Daemon. An entire season dedicated to making people dislike him because too many loved him after season one despite being a "bad guy" Their arrogance to change his storyline really fucking blows. They just made his story go in a circle, right back to where he was at the end of S1.. Ridiculous.
Silverwing is the most gentle dragon tho ,she's known for being chill and tolerant of humans regardless if they're targaryen or not ,just a sweet baby ❤
@@Kidapollo92correct. Silverwing is one of the gentlest dragons to ever live. Some are easier to tame than others, Vermithor for instance is probably the most difficult dragon to tame. If not one of them. As the show accurately demonstrated lmao
That kid saved Daemon. Humbled him in front of everybody and pulled him on the right side of things by making him "dispense justice". "Comportment" instead of "crimes". I'd want that kind of PR manager.
Oscar Tully is everything Rhaenyra or Aemond should be. He's a proper leader because he was mentored/guided well by his late granpa. Unlike what Viserys and Otto/Alicent did with their children.
Ulf the white literally lucked out. Silver wing was said to be the most docile sweetest dragon. & another thing silverwing & vermithor are like boyfriend & girlfriend. Silverwing was queen alysannes she dragon & vermithor was king jahaerys (viserys father, rhaenyras grandfather) he dragon. Those are the two dragons that visited the wall in the north. They had a big romance & were always together
Silverwing was always playful, that’s why she nudged Ulf. The old queen was her rider, and used to take Silverwing to see the smallfolk. Vermithor and Silverwing have a romance.
Oscar was the mvp of the episode. I love that the dragons pick their riders. I believe Rhaenyra told Ulf to go to Kingslanding to draw Aemond out so they could ambush him. That last shot of Rhaenyra and the 3 dragons waiting on Aemond gave me life. Loved your reaction 🖤

You know what else weakens her children's claims? Losing the war and getting killed. Jace's concern is not wrong, but it means nothing because there is no alternative, and he knows it. When she asked him what his idea for dealing with Vhagar was, he shut the fuck up. Because he had none. Yeah, the dragonseeds may create problems later. But without the dragonseeds, there won't even be a fucking later. So yeah, it is best to have problems in the future than having no future.

He has other siblings who are in hiding and Rhaena, they are the future of the house. He doesn't realize that they will be sacrificing themselves to secure the crown for the youngest even after hearing the song of ice and fire.
@ghufranasif213, clear as day you need to watch the episode again…. If Vermithor was supposed to be bronze or gold looking then why is the second dragon a red color because that is Jace’s dragon. You also seen the size of Vermithor who shattered the size of Rhaenyra’s dragon and any of theirs so what are you talking about.

So Jaherys had like 12 kids but 3 of the kids Baelon, Saera, and Aemon!! Rhaenys father was Aemon, Baelon kids were Viserys and Daemon, and Saera son is Hugh!!! The bastard blacksmith we keep seeing!! Making Hugh cousins to Daemon and Viserys, Saera was a rebel and didn’t want to live by their rules !
Saera is described as a cruel, manipulative narcisist who was abusive towards servants even as a child and would often mistreat of physically hurt them. She was also said to take many lovers and enjoyed making men fight each other for her, even causing many injuries. She was caught fucking around with 3 dudes and instead of apologizing, she wanted to marry all 3 of them. She was going to be sent to live with her sister in a Sept for a few years as punishment, so she decided to try and steal a dragon egg then escape, which made her punishment become permanent. One of her lovers called for a trial by combat, a knight, and King Jaehaerys himself fought and killed the dude. She then escaped Westeros, went to Lys to become a prostitute and had a bunch of bastards. She was way more than "a rebel". She was a menace and pretty evil as a person. Just look at her wiki page and the quotes.

With Jace I think it’s a little more complex. He has two younger brothers that aren’t bastards with Daemon and Rhaenyra. Through all the BS, he could still hold to the fact that he claimed a dragon. Now that has been taken away from him. Rhaenyra had to listen to a lot of crap about her kids, but Jace had to live through it. It’s a very real scene. Selfish or not. I get it.
His younger brothers will most likely be next in line that's why they're hiding. Jace doesn't understand that there's a war going on and he has a dragon so good luck to him, maybe he should be training in combat and on dragonback to up his chances of survival instead of moping around.

I don't even think Rhaenyra has explained to him that they're going on a suicide mission to secure the throne for the youngest in exile if it comes down to it. I think that she has accepted her faith, that's why she's nonchalant about it, he doesn't realize it which is why he's worried about his future. I'm sad for him because he's a promising leader, but his chances of making it are low if they put him on the battlefield against older dragons. Rhaenyra should have found at least another Velaryon bastard who had white hair to have her "legitimate" kids or involved men in the bedroom like Margaery tried to do with Renly to spare her kids all that bs. Alicent and Otto poisoned those kids against each other and their eldest sister. And Rhaenyra with her recklessness and smugness allowed the greens to put her kids' legitimacy in question.

I’m curious what happens to Cannibal, since him and grey ghost were mentioned. If sheepstealer is in the Vale somehow than they could actually get riders if they are changing up the story
I don't think we'll be seeing Cannibal in the show at all, as he's never been mentioned at all even when Daemon listed them off in season one. Even so, Cannibal is virtually untameable given its aggression. Rhaena will be getting Sheepstealer though, which is a BIG deviation from the book and will impact how a number of events play out.
1. Jace fear is valid.. 2. Hugh Hammers mother is Saera Targaryen she was one of king Jaehaerys daughters. Daemon and Visarys aunt. She was cut off from the family and she was not a bastard. 3. Vhagar is a old she-dragon, Vermithor is a he-dragon and Silverwing a kind she-dragon
The scene between Daemon and the kid was a mutually beneficial interaction. The lords needed to see that this young buck had balls, and Daemon needed to support that so he could then in turn be supported.
Guys: Hugh's mom isnt Viserys/Daemons sister, but her aunt. She most likely is the 9th child of the old king Jahaerys: Saera Targaryen (Viserys and Daemon's father was the sister of Prince Baelon the Brave, who was the 4th son of Jahaerys. Rhaenys for example, was the daughter of Jahaerys 3rd son: Prince Aemon). Bare in mind that Jahaerys had 13 children, although out of those 13, only 6 grew to be older than 14 years old, given that the rest either died a stillborn, died within a year, or when they were like 6-7 years old. Out of his 13 sons and daughters, only 3 were still alive when Jahaerys died in 103AC, and Viserys gained the throne... Amongst those 3, it was Hugh's mom: Saera, who as a teen escaped the kingdom and went to essos to work as a prostitut3, she was basically very unruly and impulsive, and Jahaerys never wanted to search after her bc he was tired of her. She must be more than likely Hugh's mom.
Hugh is the son of Saera Targaryen-a aunt of Viserys- who was caught with having relations with 3 close male companions. She proposed to her father Jaeharys I that she’d marry all three of them like Maegor did with his wives-which was exactly the wrong button to push with the king since Maegor murdered two of his brothers. After this and after she tried to steal a dragon he killed one of her lovers in a duel while forcing her to watch then tried to send her to become a silent sister (which was mentioned as likely being an empty threat). She escaped and fled to Essos and may still be alive. I’m sure if she heard she’d be laughing hysterically at one of her sons claiming her father’s dragon

There were about 40 Dragonlord houses in Old Valyria, which was a peninsula on the south of Essos. Most Valyrians were not dragon lords. The Velaryons were of the people of Valyria, no dragons they had shipping interests and lived on Driftmark. It was Corlys who made them extremely rich with his travels. The Targaryens left Valyria before the big Volcanic eruption. They settled nearby Driftmark on the island they named Dragonstone. Also House Celtigar in Westeros had its origins in Valyria. So they all have Valyrian blood but not dragons, though house Velaryon has intermarried into house Targaryen a bunch of time. People still are trying to figure out what dragonblood is. GRRM says there will be stuff in the Winds of Winter about it.
Actually the Velaryons DID come from the same place that the Targaryens came from. Both families (and another house that wasn’t written into the show) fled Old Valyria before the doom.
The thing that intrigues me the most about this world is that we dont even know for sure if Vhagar is the biggest dragon, its completely possible that there are dragons far larger in areas of the world where no men dare to go. Having that sense of mystery is key to a good fantasy story

It's not about being Humble or not, Opening dragons to Dragons Seeds(Targ Bastards) would challenge any support he would have for the Throne if/when Rhaenyra would die. His claim to Targaryen has been that he has a dragon, democratizing the dragons could make someone like Hugh and Ulf have more support if they were to take the crown for themselves because they both have dragons and have Targaryen features that Jace and his other bros of Harwin Strong do not have. This is why he ask Rhaenyra Do you think I would favor Harwin, do you think I would have Dark hair. Having Dark hair is largely why people can say he is not Laenor Velaryons son. Even if he was still father by Harwin and was born with Silver hair it'd be easier to silence the Bastard accusations that not only ruin the support/reputation Rhaenyra' but especially her heir.

Also I don't think that peasant riders were the cause of why they eventually lost dragons because even before the war dragons had already started growing smaller and smaller. I think the reason why they get smaller is because there's no Old Valyria anymore and its' magic. Dragons started to shrink when Valyria got destroyed.

What? No. Ulf and Hugh are bastards, that means they are only half targaryen. Only one of their parents was targaryen. You would only be a full blood targ if both your parents are targaryen. Hugh claims his mother was Saera, who is the sister of Baelon, Viserys and Daemon's father. That would mean he is Viserys and Daemon's bastard cousin and Rhaenyra's bastard uncle. Ulf claims to be a bastard of Baelon, so he would be Viserys and Daemon's bastard brother. But his claim is very dubious. He himself didn't seem sure about it and seemed to be mostly bragging. Who knows who his parents are. But no matter who his parent was, he can't be a full blood targ unless both his parents were targaryen.
No. They are bastard, they are not full blooded anything. Only full blooded Targaryens at this point in the story is Rhaenyra, Daemon and the two kids they have together. The greens are half Hightower but I guess technically Helena and Aegon’s little girl is also a full blooded Targaryen.

And he’s right the wild dragons and the unclaimed dragons aren’t the same thing. The dragons rhaenyra was talking about have been tamed before. Wild dragons are literally wild. The unclaimed ones are seasmoke, vermithor, and silver wing. The wild ones haven’t been introduced yet.
the three dragons that Aegon used to conquer Westeros was Balerion (the largest ever) Vhagar (second largest) Meraxes (the dead dragon skull in Dragonstone) In the show, Vermithor is the second largest after Vhagar but technically speaking, he is the third largest after a wild dragon named The Cannibal who has never been tammed
Hmm...on one hand, it was awful that so many innocent bastards were killed by Vermithor, death by fire is horrific and it could have backlash.. BUT on the other hand-it does tie up a lot of loose ends-many less of them are around now, and the ones brave enough to come to Dragonstone were probably the ones who might've made the most noise/problems in the future? Not that I think Rhaenyra was actually cold enough to plan for that on purpose....I think lol. I guess we'll see how things go with the two successful ones....
Also the dragon would have been able to get a better chance to choose its rider in addition to no other dragon riders would be able for future selection with other young dragons or hatchlings
I hadn't had much thoughts about Hugh until this episode but god damn did he just become a million times cooler. Face a mountain of a fire-breathing killing machine that just murdered half of your fellow bastard uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces, look death directly in the eye and tell it "I am not afraid."

Lord Oscar Tully commanded respect from the houses by showing them Daemon didn’t have him on a leash to do his bidding. The Blackwood guy committed atrocities that the other houses wanted to see justice for. I don’t think they would’ve fought well alongside each other had that not be settled. Having Daemon do the dirty deed means the blowback from the Blackwood house is directed at Daemon and not Tully. He claimed he was doing what Daemon asked, but Daemon didn’t back him up. Perfect time to execute punishment, even though Daemon didn’t give a sh!t. The Tully Lord gained the respect of his people and served justice without getting his hands dirty. He also let Daemon know they serve Rhaenyra and not him.
Targeryen, Velaryon and Celtigar were all from old valyria, but the targeryens are the only ones that have dragon blood. The velaryons however have many targeryen ancesters due to intermarriage, therefore some can ride dragons, not all of them.
Ya boy in the Life Sentence shirt is right Targeryans(Rhaenrya) and Valaryians (Corlys) are direct descendants of Old Valaryia. I think they are the only 2 surviving houses from Old Valaryia. Targeryans didn't really get super powerful until the Doom of Valaryia where most of the Dragons died but the Targeryans were able to flee to Dragonstone with Dragon eggs. And that's when they started to Colonize Westeros.
Targaryen, Velaryons and Celtigars escaped from Old Valyria before it blew up. Targs were dragonlords. They left Dragonstone with not just eggs, but grown dragons. In fact, Balerion was already alive when the Targs left Valyria. The Velaryons and Celtigars, however, were not dragonlords, although they were valyrian. Not every valyrian family had dragons.
@@mp6640 Yes. One of the guys in Rhaenyra's council is a Celtigar. It is the old guy Rhaenyra slaps. They aren't too much of a big deal, and neither were the Velaryons until Corlys succeeded in his grand voyages.
Rhaenyra has Syrax, Caraxes, Vermithor, Seasmoke, Silverwing, Vermax, Moondancer, and 2 small dragons Tyraxes and Stormcloud. Aegon has Vhagar, Sunfyre, Tesserion, and Dreamfyre. There is also 3 wild dragons unclaimed Cannibal, Sheepstealer, and Grey Ghost.
There are a few other small dragons in the dragon pit too, that Aegon has. But they are pretty small and they all get killed during the end of the dance.
@@amanrahman4608 cannibal is coal black with green eyes he was hatched on dragonstone. He was the largest of the 3 wild dragons his actual size isnt told. He never had a rider the smallfolk named him cannibal because he would eat small dragons. He disappeared after the dance.
Hugh said that her mother said "he was no different from her brother's boys...Viserys and Daemon"; so his mother wasn't their sister, but the sister of their father, Baelon (the Brave). So Hugh is the cousin of Viserys and Daemon, and the first cousin once removed of Rhaenyra.
Considering Vermithor was bonded with Jaehaerys - Rhaenyra’s great grandad - I like to think that is part of the reason that Vermithor calmed at her touch and was willing to take that moment to connect with her. (Of course, a large part of it I think has to do with her just being more in tune with the dragons than a lot of the other Targs.) I can imagine all the chuffing from Vermithor is him going, “Great grandbaby Rhae Rhae? Is that you? Oh hey there, sweetheart, how you been? You look great, darlin’!” 🤣
I think its more like youre providing proof that any bastard can claim a dragon. Which would take away Jace's argument that he cant secretly be a bastard because then he would be incapable of claiming a dragon. Which would mean another potential war for the throne when his turn comes up.
Both the Targaryen's and House Velaryons were from Old Valyria. They escaped the DOOM of Valyria at the same time. The Targs were the dragonlords and the Velaryons were masters of the navy. They left and went to Westeros--the Targaryans landed at Dragonstone and the Velaryons went to Driftmark. Even before they went to Westeros, the two houses had some intermarriage and the Velaryons were the vassals to the Targaryens.
sadly this season is only 8 episodes, so next week will be the season finale. If im not mistaken season 3 will be the final season of the show so yk its gonna be epic

It's true, Vermithor and Silverwing are not considered wild dragons, as they have had riders and been kept by the Targaryens at Dragonstone. There are a few wild dragons too, but I won't say anything more beyond that.
That show off move was a bait to try and get Aemon to fall into an ambush. That's why all the rest of them are chilling at the end. It was a full on jump move.
Alyn knows that lordships come with stresses he don't want but he is going to step up. Also, the dragon in The Vale is called Sheep stealer. There are 5 more unclaimed (at the start of ep 7) including the other wild ones Grey Ghost and The Cannibal. Two more tame Vermithor and Silverwing.
Corlys didn't know the ancestry of the mother of his bastard sons. She would have had to been mixed with some Targaryen blood because that's the only way for them to be a dragon rider
As for Evan's interpretation of the Jace scene, it was slightly incorrect. He's not talking about fighting the other bastards if there's contention for the throne once his mother is dead. He's saying everyone knows he's ALSO a bastard. So nobody will accept him as heir because he's just another bastard with a dragon, while there are others with those exact same characteristics. He never mentioned that he'd kill the other low-born bastards.

With Jace I think it’s a little more complex. He has two younger brothers that aren’t bastards with Daemon and Rhaenyra.

I don't think we'll be seeing Cannibal in the show at all, as he's never been mentioned at all even when Daemon listed them off in season one. Even so, Cannibal is virtually untameable given its aggression. Rhaena will be getting Sheepstealer though, which is a BIG deviation from the book and will impact how a number of events play out.

The scene between Daemon and the kid was a mutually beneficial interaction. The lords needed to see that this young buck had balls, and Daemon needed to support that so he could then in turn be supported.

She most likely is the 9th child of the old king Jahaerys: Saera Targaryen (Viserys and Daemon's father was the sister of Prince Baelon the Brave, who was the 4th son of Jahaerys. Rhaenys for example, was the daughter of Jahaerys 3rd son: Prince Aemon).
Bare in mind that Jahaerys had 13 children, although out of those 13, only 6 grew to be older than 14 years old, given that the rest either died a stillborn, died within a year, or when they were like 6-7 years old.
Out of his 13 sons and daughters, only 3 were still alive when Jahaerys died in 103AC, and Viserys gained the throne...
Amongst those 3, it was Hugh's mom: Saera, who as a teen escaped the kingdom and went to essos to work as a prostitut3, she was basically very unruly and impulsive, and Jahaerys never wanted to search after her bc he was tired of her. She must be more than likely Hugh's mom.

There were about 40 Dragonlord houses in Old Valyria, which was a peninsula on the south of Essos. Most Valyrians were not dragon lords. The Velaryons were of the people of Valyria, no dragons they had shipping interests and lived on Driftmark. It was Corlys who made them extremely rich with his travels. The Targaryens left Valyria before the big Volcanic eruption. They settled nearby Driftmark on the island they named Dragonstone. Also House Celtigar in Westeros had its origins in Valyria. So they all have Valyrian blood but not dragons, though house Velaryon has intermarried into house Targaryen a bunch of time. People still are trying to figure out what dragonblood is. GRRM says there will be stuff in the Winds of Winter about it.
Vermithor and silverwing are not wild dragons. They've had riders before.

The thing that intrigues me the most about this world is that we dont even know for sure if Vhagar is the biggest dragon, its completely possible that there are dragons far larger in areas of the world where no men dare to go. Having that sense of mystery is key to a good fantasy story

Having Daemon do the dirty deed means the blowback from the Blackwood house is directed at Daemon and not Tully. He claimed he was doing what Daemon asked, but Daemon didn’t back him up. Perfect time to execute punishment, even though Daemon didn’t give a sh!t.
The Tully Lord gained the respect of his people and served justice without getting his hands dirty. He also let Daemon know they serve Rhaenyra and not him.

Targeryen, Velaryon and Celtigar were all from old valyria, but the targeryens are the only ones that have dragon blood. The velaryons however have many targeryen ancesters due to intermarriage, therefore some can ride dragons, not all of them.
Ya boy in the Life Sentence shirt is right Targeryans(Rhaenrya) and Valaryians (Corlys) are direct descendants of Old Valaryia. I think they are the only 2 surviving houses from Old Valaryia. Targeryans didn't really get super powerful until the Doom of Valaryia where most of the Dragons died but the Targeryans were able to flee to Dragonstone with Dragon eggs. And that's when they started to Colonize Westeros.

Aegon has Vhagar, Sunfyre, Tesserion, and Dreamfyre.
There is also 3 wild dragons unclaimed Cannibal, Sheepstealer, and Grey Ghost.

@@amanrahman4608 cannibal is coal black with green eyes he was hatched on dragonstone. He was the largest of the 3 wild dragons his actual size isnt told. He never had a rider the smallfolk named him cannibal because he would eat small dragons. He disappeared after the dance.

The Velaryons are from Old Valyria. They’re just not a dragon-lord clan. The ones who do ride dragons typically have a Targaryen parent.
Considering Vermithor was bonded with Jaehaerys - Rhaenyra’s great grandad - I like to think that is part of the reason that Vermithor calmed at her touch and was willing to take that moment to connect with her. (Of course, a large part of it I think has to do with her just being more in tune with the dragons than a lot of the other Targs.) I can imagine all the chuffing from Vermithor is him going, “Great grandbaby Rhae Rhae? Is that you? Oh hey there, sweetheart, how you been? You look great, darlin’!” 🤣

I think its more like youre providing proof that any bastard can claim a dragon. Which would take away Jace's argument that he cant secretly be a bastard because then he would be incapable of claiming a dragon. Which would mean another potential war for the throne when his turn comes up.

Both the Targaryen's and House Velaryons were from Old Valyria. They escaped the DOOM of Valyria at the same time. The Targs were the dragonlords and the Velaryons were masters of the navy. They left and went to Westeros--the Targaryans landed at Dragonstone and the Velaryons went to Driftmark. Even before they went to Westeros, the two houses had some intermarriage and the Velaryons were the vassals to the Targaryens.

It's true, Vermithor and Silverwing are not considered wild dragons, as they have had riders and been kept by the Targaryens at Dragonstone. There are a few wild dragons too, but I won't say anything more beyond that.

Corlys didn't know the ancestry of the mother of his bastard sons. She would have had to been mixed with some Targaryen blood because that's the only way for them to be a dragon rider

As for Evan's interpretation of the Jace scene, it was slightly incorrect. He's not talking about fighting the other bastards if there's contention for the throne once his mother is dead. He's saying everyone knows he's ALSO a bastard. So nobody will accept him as heir because he's just another bastard with a dragon, while there are others with those exact same characteristics. He never mentioned that he'd kill the other low-born bastards.
