Located in Laranjeiras are the Palacio Guanabara, seat of the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Palacio Laranjeiras, the official residence of the Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Parque Guinle, the Fluminense Football Club, and headquarters of the Battalion of Special Operations of the Military Police of the State of Rio de Janeiro, BOPE, and the Administrative Headquarters in the city of the National Security Force.
Typically residential neighborhood, upper middle class and upper class, [4] relatively extensive and geographically diverse, has Rua das Laranjeiras as its main route, which starts at Largo do Machado and ends in the vicinity of the Rebouças Tunnel , already with another name: Rua Cosme Velho.
In the 19th century, rustic and luxurious farms were created in the region, occupied by gentlemen, wealthy men and driven by slave labor. The presence of Princess Isabel in the palace on Rua Guanabara, currently Rua Pinheiro Machado, contributed to its growth, given that the main access route to the imperial palace, currently Guanabara Palace, was Rua Paissandu, which was ornamented by the princess with palm trees - existing materials to this day.

Nasci em Manguinhos e adorava visitar a zona sul do Rio passando pelo centro da cidade. Laranjeiras era uma visão deliciosa. Bairro da Glória, Catete, Largo do Machado, Laranjeiras (FLUMINENSE), Bairro do Flamengo, Botafogo e Copacabana eram parte do meu destino diário. Estou fora do Rio desde 1993 e percebo quanto mudou, ficando visualmente muito bonito. Parabéns pelo vídeo. Carimba que é top ✅

Obrigada pelo video mas voce passou boa parte do video no Cosme Velho (depois que saiu do tunel Santa Barbara) . Laranjeiras termina mais ou menos onde havia a Capri do lado direito do video dai comeca o Cosme Velho. Andei aquelas ruas por grande parte da minha vida, sou do Cosme Velho, gostaria de clarificar.
