This is great info. I found that just one additional step helps the conversion process. I noticed that sometimes the rasterized image in AI was just a tad off right before creating the mosaic step. I found this order worked for me in [Rasterize]->[Make Pixel Perfect]->[Create Object Mosaic...]
For the people that may have issues with the size- Before rasterizing, on the top right there may be a size changer that will tell you the pt your current image is. Make sure those numbers match the size of your artwork, otherwise it may be a lot smaller than it actually is.
Careful when you do the rasterizing. For some weird reason it made my image .06 pixels tall, which completely screwed up the next step for me. I just resized it back to 30x30 (what it was originally) and redid the last step and everything went smoothly. Yay, now I have a vector of my logo! Thanks for the video
Helpful video! But it didn't work for me. My sprite is w: 23, H:25, and creating an object mosaic within that size causes it to shrink by one or two tiles. Also, rasterising it at 900 made it look fuzzy :(
hey, i've got this problem that after opening the finished vector file i can see the "grid". I know that it's the free space between the tiles, but i don't know how to easily get rid of it. Somebody gots a solution?
This is the only video I found online that solved exactly what I needed

HOLY SHIT LIVE SAFER! Why this isn't how it works with trace is a mystery to me but this is amazing :D Thanks!

@@fictionalhead I'm usually exporting my projects to *.svg and the problem occurs after opening in chrome.
@@fictionalhead Thank you a lot!

LOVE YOU!!!!!!
Be blessed.
Thanks for tip. I so much hate Adobe products. They are so clumsy, awkward, uncustomization and unintuitive. But it is industry standard for my job...
God 🙏🏼
Nnnnnnnnnice.
