    I am financially struggling just to keep my son in karting. I work full a fulltime job, a mechanic for my son's gokart, work as a mechanic for other drivers and even put together a youtube channel to try to fund it. My son is super talented but the financial struggle makes it hard to make it to races. Either way I thank God for the little racing but most of all the time spent with my son at the track. I can tell you a lot of talent is lost due to a lack of money.

      Karting has been expensive for a long time, I used to spend over $50k in the early 90's to race regionally and not even in the top class, and that was after taking into account the income I used to receive from the sport (factory driver, I made money on my chassis through the year). These days my racing is a lot cheaper, but I do it for fun now.

      Yes, there are children with wealthy parents who are also very talented and they are fortunate to make because they have both wealth and talent. I know many wealthy people in racing and they are great people and so are there kids.

    7:54 Hey NASKA, I'm an IndyCar die hard fan. Sadly, Roger and the Penske group killed Road To Indy after 2022. USF juniors, USF2000, and Indy Pro 2000 are now run by the United States Auto Club (If you know Indy History, you may now cringe at hearing that they're back with Formula Cars), while Indy Lights got rebranded to Indy NXT (Pronounced Next as to avoid litigation by WWE's NXT Brand) and is run in house by the IndyCar series group (who still won't bring back the Freedom 100, the best event)
    It still exists, but it is not formal anymore. There may not be a scholarship between Indy Pro 2000 and Indy Lights (i refuse to call it what it is called, it makes no sense), Indy Lights will have it's Indy 500 Guarantee back after this year.
    I feel bad for Linus Lundqvist, who got screwed this year out of an IndyCar ride, yet Sting Ray Robb has a ride and is floundering for Dale Coyne.
    Don't worry about messing up any facts, 90% of IndyCar "fans" have no idea any race happens not named the Indy 500, so any recognition of the feeder series is a positive. Good luck this year in Euro Nascar, hopefully we may see you one day In The National Series of NASCAR.

    I heard driver academies don't pay for racing costs as often as people think. They maybe offer you hours in the team's simulator or a coach, if you are good enough

    Road to indy is the best feeder series for me. Because if you go there you will make money and can use that money to race in any other series. I guess

    Forget about the insanely expensive F1, please. I watched a mix of F1 onboard accident videos from Australia this season and I was shocked how recklessly they drove, like it was sim-racing, not nice and close racing to watch, they should have more respect for those precious cars and for being so lucky to get paid for driving the most sophisticated and fastest cars in the World. Have you ever driven the Nürburgring Nordschleife? That's simply the most amazing and challenging race track on this planet!! Spa Francorchamps in Belgium is only 100 km from the Ring, another must drive track. I'd love to see you racing or testing on both of them... 🙂

      Your comment is just absurd, of course they now every thing you say, but when you give your life to racing, you don't have the time to think to those problems, at this level, it's no longer chance, it's dedication. They work so hard... And also, they are racer, not driver, you have to take all the risks to be the fastest. If you no longer go for gap that exist....

  • @01GixxxerJoe

    There is one level lower than the "Noob" and by lower I mean more expensive. It goes Naska phenomenon then Good Naska then Noob Naska then Stroll Naska. I'm not sure what the final cost of having your daddy be the main sponsor and then buying a team just to get you on the grid costs but a quick google search said over 80 MILLION dollars. That works out to good old Dad paying $362,000 for every one of his 221 career points and that's on the low side some figures I saw were almost triple that. If I had even 1% of that I would have been a 5 time AMA Superbike Champion and at least 1 MotoGP title under my belt.

    Alberto naska, how you find this, I've noticed I can't find a couple of your older videos ( 25 tips for riding your racing motorbike parts 1,2,and3 ) these videos helped me out alot when I 1st got serious about riding, I watched them all multiple times. Any chance you could repost, I've trying to help my friend who is starting out and needs proper direction.

    Very well done video with a good concept for explanation. From experience I would say that your numbers are actually a little LOW but it most definitely clearly shows the bigger challenge for a young racing driver. One thing that really annoys me is how drivers endlessly cry how 'I'm talented or my kid is talented and I'm being passed up because I don't have money' That is one of the biggest delusions in racing because it takes a LOT of money and LOT of time driving at a very high level to actually PROVE if you are actually talented. Until then you only THINK you are talented but you have not proven it yet. Moreover these people want someone ELSE to pay for them to find out if they or their kid is actually talented. This is no offense to you Alberto just a general commentary on how ridiculous racing 'fans' can be. Keep chasing your dreams.

    Its so wild to me that F2 gives more points than IndyCar.

    • @A3d10n
      @A3d10n ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, IndyCar is a top series, F2 is not. For the motorsports that aren't open wheel I understand them giving less than F2, but not IndyCar.

    • @benzina5917
      @benzina5917 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. Totally absurd and it was what kept Colton Herta from being in F1 this year. When a series is not sanctioned by the the FIA the points are very little towards a Super License.

    It is a shame that motorsport is so money driven. So many people don't get a chance due to financial problems :/

    • @benzina5917
      @benzina5917 ปีที่แล้ว

      Welcome to the real world where EVERYTHING is money driven. The reality is that as much as we love it the world does not need racing and it is the diversion of the wealthy. If you can figure out a way of making the racing car cost as much as an inflatable ball then the problem will always be there.

    isle of Man senior TT is the most important race in the world, car racing is so lame compared bikes, I even saw lewis hamilton say as much but in different words to V Rossi.
    And Naska started on bikes and would be still if he wasn't injured foot.

    jesus, even when you sell your house and all what you have...it´s highly unlikely to get in F1 or even F2. just insane.....great video tho! 👍
