I'm sure I'm defending fiercly. That's the hope, I have benefitted from lots of videos on other subjects/hobbies that talk about what you need for them, so hopefully someone will find this useful.
So, some of the logos are to do with the sponsors of Club100 as a series; there’s no requirement to use them, but I felt it helped make the suit look more professional. Prestanda NOMAD is the sim racing team who I race for. Then on the left arm are a selection of charities that are important to me and I wanted to provide them some extra exposure where possible.
So, my original red, white and gold helmet was designed for me by my buddy and then my blue and pink helmet was designed by Hype Creative. This one was meant to be an evolution of my original helmet which is why there are similar design elements. The colours were ones that I requested were incorporated. For the painting of the helmet, I purchase the plain white version and provided this to the helmet painter who then works their magic. My blue and pink Bell RS7-K was painted by H2O Customs who I will be using again for a future update to my design. As I say in the video, it won’t help you drive faster, and can be expensive (you get what you pay for typically with helmet painting) but if you have the disposable income to cover it, it can certainly help you to feel more of an individual out on the track. Many helmet companies will also sell stock designs pre-painted on a line of their helmets. Whilst this won’t make your helmet one with a unique design, special to you, it will allow you to add a splash of colour to your equipment.
@@clapymickeysmous I’d imagine it’s inflation, this video being a year old is now bound to be inaccurate, however the differences in price I would imagine are still reasonably similar. I’ll be purchasing a new helmet in the not too distant future, so perhaps an updated video is needed.
It’s the blue multilayer (light smoke). Be aware that prices for visors have gone up quite a bit over the past few years. I remember getting mine for less than £100 and they are now ~£150. It may be worth waiting for a sale if time isn’t of the essence.
@@JackLangfordRacing From my perspective, the tint to objects isn't distracting, but I wouldn't advise wearing it in dark conditions. From an external perspective unless a light is being shone or directed directly toward the visor it is quite close to opaque. I’m assuming you are interested in rental karting as opposed to owner/driver. For Club100, I use an old imaf seat from many years ago when I was doing owner/driver racing. I cut the bottom out of the seat and attached a strap which runs under my legs to avoid it lifting. I also added some adhesive foam to the external of the seat for a snug fit in the XL Tillett seats that Club100 use. For me, the seat is fine, but doing the same with a Tillett seat would probably provide an even better fit. I’d also recommend sanding and finishing any edges that you cut to avoid unnecessary wear to your suit. Hopefully that answers your question.
love these videos, might start junior racing in club100 and you are the man to search up for help. Thanks!
Thank you, glad you enjoy them. Hopefully you can secure yourself a spot on the grid, and when you do, good luck! 👍
@@DownToRace Thank You!!!!!

Glad it was helpful!
This is epic Tim thanks for the info!
Any time, glad it was useful 😃
I wonder who is overtaking who in the wet weather section 🤔🤣. Great video - would have been mega useful when I first started out!

That's a Bryn Alban Design helmet paintjob 8:17 I'd never seen the final product until this video! :D
Some say painted helmets are worth half a second…
Are you sponsored by the companies on your race suit or just brands you use?

How did you get your helmet designed was that pre design or did you have that done after the brought the helmet?

No clue if it is just the difference in price or inflation because the arai helmets both cost around 650 now

Possibly, I’ll need to do some research to find out how much has changed in the market first.
What colour is the visor on your blue helmet ?
