I study and teach English in Taiwan. Indeed I learned these rules from my professor during my college. But foreigners still say I have Taiwanese accent. They said my accent was cute...haha. ^^; Thanks for the video!

If you want to speak perfect English , you need to think in English mind. When you learn English for long time , your reasoning skills would be channeled in English. I can speak perfect Chinese and English same time
@@MrShou-nw7yv Ok. I re-phrase my message . When people think in English (without translating), this also helps them internalize the language. When people internalize information, it means they learn it so well that people no longer need to think about it. Internalizing English means they don’t need to remember the rules and pronunciations every time they speak. They just speak. Native English speakers don’t always know why what they say is correct because they’ve internalized the language. Additionally, thinking in English is an excellent way to build your vocabulary with words people actually use. It’s important to know many words
Thanks for pointing these out. But tbh they're not as helpful as I expected. As a linguist and a teacher in practice, I find that learners of second language or third (Chinese, English, esp. Spanish, but not so much Japanese) do struggle with all of these all the time. The problem, however, is that they are fully aware of these features in any given language. They pick them up almost immediately once provided corrections yet they aren't able to reproduce those features or they do it rather unnaturally. I believe applied cognitive approach could be an ideal solution.
There was a comment on my being a show-off because I speak English here. I didn't get to read the full content of it because later it was gone. I kinda wanna (applying assimilation here) know what the rationale is accusing someone who uses English of showing off.
Out of jealousy, or simply ignorance. However, you should take others ' ability into account. Not everyone is as talented as you. One thing for sure, using English does not imply that you are ostentatiously arrogant. But if you meet somebody telling nothing you understand before you, what will your reaction be? This TH-cam Channel is specifically for English learner, but not a veteran of languages. A linguist and a language beginner ,the gap is just too broad! Well, for everyone, The best way to learn a Language is to immerse in it. This rule is always true in any case.

虽然赞成阿滴说的“缩词”会听起来更加流利。但是建议口语还在初级的同学在洋人面前说英语尽量吐字清晰，发好每个单词的发音，避免会遗漏掉“s" "d" "t"等等的结尾导致洋人误以为其他的词汇。他们真的宁愿你说的不流畅，也不希望发音少了结尾或者开头的字母。--来自工作上和洋人的交流经验

第一次看，非常认同。我英文其实也不咋样，但是因为跟澳村朋友学了连音重音，所以至少听起来就是顺顺的英文，比一般中式英文发音好很多。刚开始说几句话的时候，还挺能唬人的。说的流利了，会增加信心，对英文更有兴趣哦！
阿滴讲的还不错！但身为留学生想提醒大家的是，不管我们怎么连读，重音，这些都不是最重要的，因为即便我们在模仿老外，老外一听就知道不是native speaker。只要口音不差，老外最看重的是你说话的内容。
问题是如果你的口音好，老外就会以为你是native Speaker，外国人自己讲话很多都没有standard accent，长期练习基本都以为你是ABC
Baron Gao 其实主要是说话的语法和发音是不是local，我在加州居然被问是不是在这边长大的😂😂说明书发音是很重要的，而且我药使用多说多模仿，多看看别人怎么说而且勇敢说出来 多练习才是正道

1. 一個「土生土長」的台灣人在正常情況下不會跟另一個台灣人說英語除非：
兩個是外國留學生 / 一個住過外國, 會說流利的英語, 另一個想跟他學好一點英語。
兩個是 ABC (美籍華人)。他們是土生土長的美國人但父母是台灣人。他們雖然跟父母講中文但兩個習慣跟大家說英語。
用同一個理論一個土生土長的香港人不會跟另一個香港人說英語或普通話因為...
a. 有部份香港人的英語不流利。
b. 他們有一種反大陸的心態。就算可以說流利的普通話他們不會說除非有必要。
2. 這部影片沒有解釋清楚三種標準英語之分: 美國, 澳洲與英國。新加坡的英語 (Singlish) 不算標準英語。大家的讀音和拼字有些差別例如：color/colour, neighbor/neighbour, skeptical/sceptical, organize/organise, aluminum, laboratory 等等。
3. 這部影片沒有說清楚英語的簡字例如: gonna=going to, wanna=want a 等是美國人用的口語但在寫作不會用因為 I'm gonna win 這種簡寫不算標準英語。英國或澳洲人不會用這種口語。
4. 英文跟法文比較法文的說法是一個字的尾音連接下一個字的頭一個音。英語有某些字的尾音是連接下一個的頭音但通常兩個字是分開講。

有水準的正常外國人不會在乎你聽起來像不像native speaker, 只會在乎你要表達的是什麼，其實發音盡量正確讓母語人士容易理解我覺得就夠了，語言本來就是用來溝通跟處理事情的，不是用來展現一個人優劣，與其花時間去想要怎麼才像native speaker, 不如多去精進實際運用這塊⋯
他想要講的不是否定掉溝通與處理事情，他想講的是給想增進自己的發音，對自己的英文有更高追求的人。
妳不能否認，當一個人的口音，表達都很道地時，能拉近溝通的距離。

英文程度有分成初學者、中級、高級、優級...等等, 你知道Native是第幾級嗎? 是最高級! 想達成最高級沒有捷徑, 不可能光靠你的方法就達成... 想聽起來像native speaker最難的不是發音也不是文法, 而是單字用法和慣用語等等, 幾個用法的例子: 你能分辨oblige, obligate有何不同嗎? consult, counsel呢? 當然要舉例也舉不完...光是詞彙量不夠時, 要講一個現象就要繞好幾句話了.. 詞彙量夠了之後還要知道怎麼用(最難的), 用錯聽起來還是很怪..

hi. 我想请问在读英文小说的时候遇到不明白的字应该怎么办 ？ 我知道接下去读 ，就能大概明白那个字的意思，可是要了解那字真正的意思和如何运用就必须查字典但... 如果我一个一个字去查...让我觉得很无奈 ，感觉不能享受阅读那本书的内容因为我不明白的字真的很多。请问我遇到不明白的字应该马上查字典还是先把那字写下来之后再查字典？

我的程度目前是esl3 近日正在閱讀 哈利波特 很適合初學者
也是蠻多單字不懂 但 不會不懂整個故事在講什麼
一直出現的生字 依照前後句就能明白意思！
還是不明白的話 會先寫下那個字在筆記本上
（有時會寫下整句話 方便自己學習怎麼用這個字
看完一兩章節後 再統一查字義
這是我的經驗
不會因為一直查字感到無奈或太煩
越來越能沈浸其中 又能真正學習
總之 先選對程度的書 是很重要的第一步
我的話 建議先不查 然後看完整段試著推推看是啥意思 可以訓練語感ww
就看 你是 想读懂故事大纲呢，还是 想品尝 作者对事物的细腻描述了
坊間很多種方式
只能說要靠自己找出最適合自己的方式
但是最重要的就是詞彙+練習+經驗
以及最重要的就是...毅力!!
