Now THAT is a great survival "bow"! Easily packable, repeatable accuracy, powerful, simple and low cost! It just doesn't get any better than that!
Man brought a slingshot to a bow and arrow fight......I call shenanigans.
Another one right out of the ballpark. The detail on the Handel is quite excellent. A very functional and compact survival situation.

Абсолютно бесполезно ставить сюда вращающийся ролик, ведь он не успевает вращаться во время пуска стрелы при её-то огромной пусковой скорости. А так изделие получилось симпатичное.

pro tip: never drill a whole in metal while holding it with your hand. use vise grips or something PLEASE. it will SPIN AROUND AND CUT YOU UP OTHERWISE!

Just cut a few inches off a hockey stick handle and go from there. Forget the custom superglue the handle together and stain it crap. Waste of time.

Excellent, love it. I wonder if it could be further simplified by leaving out the wheel, and just have a sort of a gate as guidance for the arrow. Will try that out. Thanks for the idea.....
Very cool. Couple of questions, though: How do you protect the tubing from being cut where it passes through the holes in the metal strap, and how do you keep the strap from pivoting when the bow is drawn?

Needs, at least ball bearings if not precision bearings, the pulley a smaller diameter and down in the grip so the arrow rests closer to the hand, a flare on the back that rests in the thumb crotch, a fold-around wrist brace, a better way to attach the tubing so you can add as much as you like for more draw weight, and two brushes on forked sides so an arrow can be top loaded instead of threaded from the back and the fork extended down and mounted to where the metal pin is to brace it. And that wooden dowel pin will be a point of failure over time because of the leverage on it. A threaded insert with two low profile Allen bolts would be better. Still, pretty nice. Well done.
