    Being Croatian myself, I am thrilled that I found your channel, as very few talk about this.
    Due to christianity we lost a lot of the old knowledge, therefore also the old ways. Please continue to illuminate this utterly important, unfortunately almost forgotten knowledge.

    I've just found your channel, it's brilliant! We forgot our ancestors old ways, so much subtle knowledge that once defined our identity, and now we don't even remember who we are, what we have in our genes! Only few legends, myths, fragments of distorted information that seems like a conspiracy to erase the past. Thank you so much for making Romanian heritage known, with information you won't find on the internet.

    I am so happy that Romanian mythology has a good youtube channel at last ! I am Romanian born, and I have always loved Romanian traditions, customs, and mythology. @@Crowhag You're very welcome! I watched your "How the Demiurge Became the Devil" video and found it utterly fascinating. You (or whoever does the narration) have a great voice for presenting the material and giving an insight into folklore and mythology. I'm an avid fan of obscure folklore and religions and found it very intruiging. The Tarot Card scenes were suitably unnerving due to the context and how they were shot.

    For a school that's runned by the Devil, it's funny how Svartiskóli apparently provides its students with room and board. At least the students won't starve or dehydrate to death and there's no lottery of doom such as with the Solomance. You just need to demonstrate your skills to graduate, i.e. leave once every 3 years. Between the Solomance and Svartiskóli, I like my chances better with the Svartiskóli. Plus unlike most schools of magick, the Svartiskóli is unique in that it doesn't go about scouting students meaning anyone who is educated and learned could attend.

    Great video, and amazing storytelling skills! I can't help to imagine this myth, as most of them have, has some base in reality. Probably some shamanistic sacred ground in the mountains where people traveled to - maybe- learn how to predic the weather? And as always, with the arrival of Christianity, those practices become demonized as deemed as witchcraft.

    I had a dream where after running away I was in a place of grey rocky mountains and at the top there was a cave, in the cave a white boy picked up a white sheep, what does that mean?

    Scholomance almost sounds like solomance (solomon) who was a great magician.

      Indeed, the video explains how they are connected.

    I wonder if salmoxis was ever seen as yaldabaoth?

    • @Crowhag
      @Crowhag  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That seems unlikely. Although he was the central deity of the Dacians, he was seen as a sky god, not a demiurge being.

    There’s a dark academia fantasy trilogy called “Scholomance” written by Naomi Novik, which is based on the folklore described here. I highly recommend it.
