Yes we can do that. My Cube Baby is an old version. The Volume Knob acts as a Master Volume. It cannot save different volumes per preset. BUT, the Cube Baby nowadays are new version already. The Volume Knob NOW acts as a Preset/Patch Volume. We can save different volumes per preset. Im going to make a comparison video for these 2 versions. 😀
I've got one on the way tomorrow. This is my first multi effects pedal(wth right. I've played 26 yrs) I'm intimidated because I kinda understand what IR's are. Problem is, I don't have a laptop. Any way I can sample IR's as you did using only my Android phone? I know I can make my own with the cube baby, but I think they are limited compared to what I understand an IR to be. For instance, if I understand, I import Slash's signature lead tone and save it to one of the cabinet positions. That's all I can say for now. I'm excited to receive it and foil around. Are they known for a hum to them? And when I'm playing, no hum either. Just when I stop playing. When the strings aren't muted on the guitar. Honestly, sounds like you've given it tons of thought. Thanks for watching man. Unfortunately, there were no volume controls for the Mods. It has a fixed volume and only the rate/speed is controllable. As for the tap tempo delay, it doesn't have one.. I mainly use this as my IR Cab Loader and Audio Interface.
Yes. But, we can also use the phone's port to record to smartphones.. its the usb port with a phone icon. There is an included microusb to 3.5mm trrs plug for this feature. The microusb goes to the cube baby then the 3.5mm plug goes to the phone's headset it. Hope this helps. To add, the Cube Baby I used in this video is the Old Model. There is a New Model. You may want to check my video of that too. If you're going to buy, its wiser to buy the new model. Thanks!

Welcome! To add, there is catch with the 3.5mm cable. It depends on the phone if they are compatible or not. If so, you may download the Open Camera App in playstore if your phone's default camera is not compatible with Cube Baby. Also, please take note to remove the cellphone's case when recording because its a hindrance for the 3.5mm plug to be fully inserted to the phone's headset in. This is the same case with my poco X3 phone. Haha. The difference with the 3.5mm plug and charging port as records out is the 3.5mm plug is an analog signal. While the charging port is digital signal/usb audio recording already. Its cleaner at quieter than the 3.5mm record quality. Most importantly, the charging port is the USB Audio Interface of Cube Baby. It can be connected to PC/Laptop and use a DAW + Amp Sim or Plugins and Do a multi track recording. This is really a bang for the buck deal. Hahahahaha!!

u just need another guitar cable 1/4 trs so you have the one from your guitar to the pedal goin to the in and then another from the out of the pedal to the in of your amplifier your using... This to my knowledge is how all pedals work unless your getting ones for microphones or something for future reference

Yes Sir pede naman po. Ang catch lang is, preamp kasi yung sa drives ng Cube Baby. Hindi sya regular OD or DS pedal. Preamp sya talaga. So pag nag saksak ka sa amp in, magkokontrahan yung preamp sa Cube Baby at preamp ng mismong amp. Mostly na magagamit mo is yung Mod, delay, Reverb at IR section ng Cube Baby.. Ako naman, ginagamit ko to as IR Cab only sa Amp in. Nagsisilbi syang master EQ. Pampaganda ng tunog if cheap amp lang gamit. Lakas ng enhancement sa tunog. Hehe
No. Just look careful of what type you buy. There are 3 types of Cuvave: Eletric Guitar, Acoustic & Bass. When you buy online store, there options to choose.
Yes. We can do that too. We can load IR for elc. Guitar, bass and acoustic guitar IR as well. Im doing this too. If Im using a Bass IR, I select a clean preamp. Then, mix and match the tone.. Then, if Im using acoustic guitar + acoustic IR, I prefer to turn off the preamp section of cube baby and the eq pickup of the acoustic guitar will be my preamp. But we can still turn on the preamp from cube baby. Hope this helps.

This is not a midi controller. But we can use this as an audio interface to computer.. Cuvave/M-Vave has a different product for midi controller, its called the M-Vave Chocolate Midi controller.. i have a separate video for that. Thanksm
Yes. Its the Edit Preset Function. What you have is the new version of Cube Baby.. With that, you can edit a Preset without going to live mode. Or if you want to tweak a certain parameter, its better to use the Edit Preset, instead of going to Live Mode and tweak all the parameters from scratch. Example. In your preset A, the Chorus rate is fast. Then, you want to make it slower. So what you need to do is Press the Switch A+B once, now, you can tweak the Mod Knob.. Only the Mod Section will be edited, all other sections will retain their current settings. (Unless you tweak their knob too). To cancel the changes, press A+B once again. To save the changes, Press and Hold the Footswitch A. (I believe you can also press and hold other switches). So the preset A is the one with faster chorus. Then, you can save it to preset B, with slower chorus.. Press A+B once again to exit Edit Preset Mode.

I did not use an amplifier. All sounds are recorded directly from Cube Baby to Android phone via USB otg recording. Its actually mentioned in the video

Thanks po. IR Cab stands for Impulse Response Cabinet..simply put, digital file sila nung actual speaker cabs like Marshall V30, Dimebag and Fender. Meaning, pede natin maharness yung tunog ng mga to kahit wala yung actual items. Need lang ng IR Loader pedal, like Cube Baby. May in-depth explanation na din ako nito. Hindi na sila compatible sa new model na CB. Installan nyo na lang po ng IR at magcustom presets kayo pagdating. Enjoy!
Is it just me or does it sound like its constantly "Clipping" when the overdrive channel is on? Its definitely warbling up and down in volume. Do any reviewers talk about it? Eh, theyre reviewers and I dont see any of my trusted reviewers. Dammit, I just bought one. May have to return it if its doing that
You need to set an ideal IR Distance for your setup.. IR Distance is the volume compensating of the Cube Baby.. For my setup, this is my preference. As for your setup, you may need to tweak the IR Distance according to your preference. Also, this is a budget pedal hence we can't expect too much for the overall quality. My approach for this pedal is use this as an IR Cab then use an external preamp pedal and Audio Interface only. If you scroll out my videos, this is my setup. Caline American Sound Preamp > Cube Baby (Marshall V30) > Android Phone. But if we'll use this as a standalone multiefx, I can't recommend this. Also, have you installed 3rd party IRs to your Cube Baby? The stock IRs are loud and the volume is not compensated yet. Hope this helps

Yes Sir. Normal yan. Reverse charge po tawag jan. Dont worry, hindi naman mabilis made drain battery ng cp nyo while recording. Been using this method for 2 years, never naman nagka problem sa battery si CB ko.
Yes Sir. Mas malinaw talaga tunog kasi usb audio na sya. Digital signal na ang pasok nya sa android. Unlike if yung 3.5mm, mic in ang pasok nya tas analog signal pa.
Yung sakin naman, hindi sya mabilis maka drain ng battery. Esp. if mga 50% up yung battery. Tsak, hindi naman tayo magrerecord ng 2 hrs or more na straight. Practice muna then, record ang diskarte ko. Haha. Kaya hindi totally nakasaksak si CB sa android. Yung free IRs, meron din sa description box po. Kunin nyo na lang. Also, if bagong bili ang cube baby nyo. Wag na wag nyo po iupdate ang firmware. Mag error yan.

Told ya! I think the reason for that is the included USB Cable is only for charging. Also, its just a generic one so we cant expect that much from it. Its on us "Users" to upgrade to quality cables..Try Ugreen! 😎🤘😁

@@heartstring631 i cant say which one is better kasi magkaiba sila ng function and depende din sa needs nyo Sir. Si Mosky DC 5 ay intended as a multi efx, may efx sya like drives, modulation and delay.. then a standard quarter inch mono in and out. Then, si Cube Baby naman ay, IR Loader, Audio Interface and Sound card, with bonus na multi efx. But, as a multi efx, mejo down sya. More of an audio interface kasi sya, instead of a multi efx So, if you need a decent multi efx for a price. As in stand alone multi efx lang, go for Mosky. But, if you need an IR Loader, Recording Device and Silent Practice Rig. (With a little multi efx function), go for Cuvave. Yun po.
There is a Tone Knob in the Preamp Section. Yes, we can change it in Live Mode. The Cube Baby I used in this video is the Version 1. The Version 2 has three modes of operation, theP Preset, Live and Edit mode. I have a separate video for that. You may want to check it.
Its not possible. There is a new pedal released by Cuvave / M-Vave called the Mini-Amp Pedal. Its a multi preamp pedal. You may want to check it on my YT. The purpose is to combine it with IR Cab Pedal like Cube Baby. Thanks

I advise na wag sya gamiting while charging kasi mabilis ma de drain yung battery nya. Same principle with cellphones.. No need to worry naman sa battery life kasi matagal talaga sya. 4 to 5 hrs usage pede sya. But, if naka connect sya sa laptop or otg recording sa android. Nag cha charge si cube baby eh, though okay lang yun, hindi naman maiiwasan. Wag lang yung charger talaga while using.

u just need another guitar cable 1/4 trs so you have the one from your guitar to the pedal goin to the in and then another from the out of the pedal to the in of your amplifier your using... This to my knowledge is how all pedals work unless your getting ones for microphones or something for future reference

There's no sound when he's in video recording. To hear it live in tune mode, you need to connect from out (Cuvave) & in (speaker)

Yes Sir pede naman po. Ang catch lang is, preamp kasi yung sa drives ng Cube Baby. Hindi sya regular OD or DS pedal. Preamp sya talaga. So pag nag saksak ka sa amp in, magkokontrahan yung preamp sa Cube Baby at preamp ng mismong amp.
Mostly na magagamit mo is yung Mod, delay, Reverb at IR section ng Cube Baby..
Ako naman, ginagamit ko to as IR Cab only sa Amp in. Nagsisilbi syang master EQ. Pampaganda ng tunog if cheap amp lang gamit. Lakas ng enhancement sa tunog. Hehe

No. Just look careful of what type you buy. There are 3 types of Cuvave: Eletric Guitar, Acoustic & Bass. When you buy online store, there options to choose.

Yes. We can do that too. We can load IR for elc. Guitar, bass and acoustic guitar IR as well. Im doing this too.
If Im using a Bass IR, I select a clean preamp. Then, mix and match the tone..
Then, if Im using acoustic guitar + acoustic IR, I prefer to turn off the preamp section of cube baby and the eq pickup of the acoustic guitar will be my preamp. But we can still turn on the preamp from cube baby.

There is big volume difference preset mode and live mode. How do you fix that?

This is not a midi controller. But we can use this as an audio interface to computer..
Cuvave/M-Vave has a different product for midi controller, its called the M-Vave Chocolate Midi controller.. i have a separate video for that. Thanksm

Yes. Its the Edit Preset Function. What you have is the new version of Cube Baby.. With that, you can edit a Preset without going to live mode. Or if you want to tweak a certain parameter, its better to use the Edit Preset, instead of going to Live Mode and tweak all the parameters from scratch.
Example.
In your preset A, the Chorus rate is fast. Then, you want to make it slower. So what you need to do is Press the Switch A+B once, now, you can tweak the Mod Knob.. Only the Mod Section will be edited, all other sections will retain their current settings. (Unless you tweak their knob too).
To cancel the changes, press A+B once again.
To save the changes, Press and Hold the Footswitch A. (I believe you can also press and hold other switches). So the preset A is the one with faster chorus. Then, you can save it to preset B, with slower chorus..
Press A+B once again to exit Edit Preset Mode.

Thanks po. IR Cab stands for Impulse Response Cabinet..simply put, digital file sila nung actual speaker cabs like Marshall V30, Dimebag and Fender. Meaning, pede natin maharness yung tunog ng mga to kahit wala yung actual items. Need lang ng IR Loader pedal, like Cube Baby.

Im not sure too. Mine is working fine when connected to those.

Nga pala Sir, pag dumating na ung CB mo, WAG mo nang iupdate yung firmware. Kasi updated na yan.. Tsaka new model na yang marereceive nyo. Yung mga firmware update na existing ay para sa old model. Hindi na sila compatible sa new model na CB.
Installan nyo na lang po ng IR at magcustom presets kayo pagdating. Enjoy!

Is it just me or does it sound like its constantly "Clipping" when the overdrive channel is on? Its definitely warbling up and down in volume. Do any reviewers talk about it? Eh, theyre reviewers and I dont see any of my trusted reviewers. Dammit, I just bought one. May have to return it if its doing that
You need to set an ideal IR Distance for your setup.. IR Distance is the volume compensating of the Cube Baby.. For my setup, this is my preference. As for your setup, you may need to tweak the IR Distance according to your preference.
Also, this is a budget pedal hence we can't expect too much for the overall quality. My approach for this pedal is use this as an IR Cab then use an external preamp pedal and Audio Interface only. If you scroll out my videos, this is my setup. Caline American Sound Preamp > Cube Baby (Marshall V30) > Android Phone.
But if we'll use this as a standalone multiefx, I can't recommend this.
Also, have you installed 3rd party IRs to your Cube Baby? The stock IRs are loud and the volume is not compensated yet.

Been using this method for 2 years, never naman nagka problem sa battery si CB ko.

Yes Sir. Mas malinaw talaga tunog kasi usb audio na sya. Digital signal na ang pasok nya sa android. Unlike if yung 3.5mm, mic in ang pasok nya tas analog signal pa.
Yung sakin naman, hindi sya mabilis maka drain ng battery. Esp. if mga 50% up yung battery. Tsak, hindi naman tayo magrerecord ng 2 hrs or more na straight. Practice muna then, record ang diskarte ko. Haha. Kaya hindi totally nakasaksak si CB sa android.
Yung free IRs, meron din sa description box po. Kunin nyo na lang.
Also, if bagong bili ang cube baby nyo. Wag na wag nyo po iupdate ang firmware. Mag error yan.

Masyado po atang malakas yung guitar nyo. Kaya nasasapawan nya yung backing track. Pag masyadong hot yung signal nung guitar, kinanain din nya ung volume ng backing track. So dapat, icompensate nyo yung volume ng guitar using IR Distance. Para hindi sya masyadong hot

@@heartstring631 i cant say which one is better kasi magkaiba sila ng function and depende din sa needs nyo Sir.
Si Mosky DC 5 ay intended as a multi efx, may efx sya like drives, modulation and delay.. then a standard quarter inch mono in and out.
Then, si Cube Baby naman ay, IR Loader, Audio Interface and Sound card, with bonus na multi efx. But, as a multi efx, mejo down sya. More of an audio interface kasi sya, instead of a multi efx
So, if you need a decent multi efx for a price. As in stand alone multi efx lang, go for Mosky.
But, if you need an IR Loader, Recording Device and Silent Practice Rig. (With a little multi efx function), go for Cuvave.

There is a Tone Knob in the Preamp Section. Yes, we can change it in Live Mode.
The Cube Baby I used in this video is the Version 1. The Version 2 has three modes of operation, theP Preset, Live and Edit mode. I have a separate video for that. You may want to check it.

Its not possible.
There is a new pedal released by Cuvave / M-Vave called the Mini-Amp Pedal. Its a multi preamp pedal. You may want to check it on my YT. The purpose is to combine it with IR Cab Pedal like Cube Baby. Thanks

I advise na wag sya gamiting while charging kasi mabilis ma de drain yung battery nya. Same principle with cellphones..
No need to worry naman sa battery life kasi matagal talaga sya. 4 to 5 hrs usage pede sya.
But, if naka connect sya sa laptop or otg recording sa android. Nag cha charge si cube baby eh, though okay lang yun, hindi naman maiiwasan.
Wag lang yung charger talaga while using.
