Mike is not the nice guy he pretends to be on TV. When old people won’t sell the things that they don’t use, it just rubs me all wrong and gah it grinds my gears down to dust. BUT man, I love this show. I can’t get enough even though sometimes I yell at the tv.
That's one of the most common things from the collector world, someone asks how much is this (insert here) and they say it's not for sale. Especially with a car they've had for years and done nothing with it and say they're going to fix it up.
Look at the looks that the guy and his wife exchange... This guy loves his collection, but I bet he loves her even more! What a great couple! This TH-cam channel is great for many reasons, but getting to 'meet' so many awesome people is tops on my list!
Man, Mike was going nuts over this collection, and I don't blame him. I would probably be the exact same way. And while I am certainly not a scooter or motorcycle person, I would definitely love to own that Maico Mobile, such a cool looking scooter! Also, I do miss that old Mercedes Sprinter van that they drove around in, I hope it went to a good home and didn't get crushed.
When I was a teenager in Manchester UK inthe 70s, me and my 3 brothers were all into Lambretta scooters. Dad brought home a Maicoletta scooter, he'd bought off a work mate for £200. It was enormous, seemingly twice the size of a Lambretta or Vespa. We really took the rise out of it. Poor Dad. He got rid of it soon afterwards. Looking back, we should've trusted his instincts.
Mike says why not sell the oil leaking bike . It will cost a arm and leg to repair it . Owner says its rare and hard to find one like it. meanwhile off camera drip drip drip.
I'm kind of like this couple when asked the question, "Which is more important...food in the cupboard or cool cars?" Cool cars, of course! Ramen and lettuce sandwiches anyone?!?
correct i know a guy here in Perth Australia who has lots of vespas scooters, is now in his 50s and never been laid ,the boom $ has been and gone on them
@@bimbomartinez3730 even if he's leaving for future gens, 14? does he have 14 grankids who want to restore and drive a car like that,? i say do what you want, but like they said they called them,, and plus when you have 80 cars sitting around for future generations they just get more rusty, and will cost more to restore, and prices seesaw, might aswell get what you can, im sure alot of these barns filled with cars will just turn into a nightmare for the kids and grand kids when the owner dies.
If I were the guy, i’d sell the Messerschmidt instead of the Maico. Mike was right, he’d still have 13 if he sold one. But he sold the Maico, now he has 0 Maico’s in his stable. He’ll be 17.5k richer too. Maths, learn how to do it.
It really bothers me when the so called "Collectors" and "Sellers" call up somebody to sell their vehicles and then act high handed and snotty. I mean if the vehicles are so important to you, then why the eff do you want to call somebody to waste their time. And i am 100% sure that this gentleman has never driven any of these vehicles in the garage and he probably never will, they will just rot inside that garage, rather than being on the road and being driven.
I’m trying to find the episode of Louis the Chevy guy. Someone needs to sit him down and pick his brain for all his knowledge. He was 82 when filming and on Oxygen. He needs a document done on his vast knowledge of everything Chevy
Its seems every time they find some cool thing. The owners always "no I love that ,no I need more money for that, no im going to take it to my grave. Personally its a wast of time whats the point in the owner having looking at his stuff. If he's doesn't want to sell anything
He might have a good 10 years left before hitting the ground six feet under and why not just get rid of all those cars and enjoy life. Some people just can't accept their mortality.
i dont understand old people with giant collections... oh i cant let the bike go oh i have 14 of these cars but cant sell, its like they see a pile of gold, the thing is untill someone offers you cash you have nothing, unless you ride them, which this old man doesnt... your simply gonna let your son or someone who buys that warehouse after your dead sell them for half price... then again im a stock trader, i only see value in cash, maybe im the weirdo

I was smiling throughout the hole video

MIKE don't ever make that noise again!🤣🤣 just kidding love the enthusiasm and excitement for your passion!
Would have been a much cooler episode if they went around and showed the other cars. Every one of them looked cool and very unique.

you can tell he regretted it
“It’s fantastic, it’s amazing, I’ve wanted one ever since I was a kid, I can’t wait to get it home and make six grand profit selling it...”
Its like the cheerleader you always wanted to date
Good program. Most tv is
hard to watch. 80 percent
ads.
She's going to spend that money
Yep, complains when he buys it, complains when he restores it, happily spends the money from selling it.
She looks good for her age.

if mike acts like that i would be annoyed
Mike's mega picks consist of seeing hundreds of valuable items and then buying 3.
Theyll b buyin the rest off Nancy when he drops
Collectors need to know when to let things go, especially if they got 14 of the same make. It's not gonna fit in your grave, bobo.

Like that Škoda 1000MB on the front
the fairlane GT matching numbers restored worth 94,000 lol !
Go to Wanaka New Zealand, and you may find piles of similar things. You may consider setting up a restoration shop there perhaps.
The wife like -plz we would off sold all that for like H.)
You Two (inc Frank!), Beat salvage hunters re drew pritchard. Enough Said except American Pickers are the Best! Cheers
Agreed, Drew Pritchard and his show are so lame it's embarrassing, no charm , no humour, the guy doesn't even smile.
The only problem I see with their collection is how do they pull something out to drive it?
Its hard to buy from collectors bc lots of them dont wnt the money they want the item
I'd drive that scooter everywhere I would go.
Citron is French for lemon
Citroen not citron
Nancy is sweet!
You all hear about the lawsuits and federal charges on these two guys out of the state of Alabama…involving teen girls??
Lol, going to a good home? As said below it will be sold to the first person who offers $17,000.
N that's how you run a business. Guess you'd go bust n keep everything you've invested money in yeah..
When you own the only one you can pretty much set your own profit margin.

It will be a every interesting story. How the couple met and married.
The forerunner of the Gold Wing. :)
With that big box van other than putting in that scooter they also would have enough room to put in that 3-wheel Messerschmitt also.
Would be a lot cooler if that garage had a bunch of old VW's. lol
