    I only have two filters on the outside and I don't have room to put the two small filters on the inside, is this normal?

      There should only be two cabin air filters total, as seen in this video. Can you please elaborate so I can provide further assistance?

    I saw the other video you made is also about x3 2011-2016 cabin air filter change, it is in the glove box. What is the difference? Or there are 2 air filters?

    • @filterheads
      @filterheads  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is good to check your vehicle ahead of time to make sure you X3 takes both cabin air filters. Not all came with this option but most came with two cabin air filter housings. One filters the air coming from the outside and the other filters the air inside your vehicle. AQ1234C and AQ1239 are the part numbers.

      You have to have ATC in your X3 for it to have the cabin air filter in the glovebox. This BMW X3 has ATC and that stands for Automatic Temperature Control.

      We do not have that part. You can reach out to your local dealer and they should be able to get it for you.

    On the website it is asking me if the BMWX3 has ATC OR non ATC...😳 What is that!

    • @filterheads
      @filterheads  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ATC is Adaptive Transmission Control. It is best to check your vehicle before purchasing this filter. If you have the housing door under the hood then your vehicle takes this filter AQ1234 but if your vehicle has ATC it will also have AQ1239 which is a second set of cabin filters that get installed through your glove box. You can check to see you have this by opening your glovebox and opening the housing door if you have it.

    • @filterheads
      @filterheads  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your BMW X4 may have the cabin air filter AQ1239 this link th-cam.com/video/uyXqacQ1z1w/w-d-xo.html will show you how it is installed and where it is located. Not all X4's came with this second cabin air filter option so it is good to check your car to make sure it has this filter before purchasing it.

  • @inox1ck

    That’s pretty simple. On the new model I have the stationary heating there I have to remove before removing the filter. To remove the battery you need to remove both windscreen wipers arms and remove a plastic shield like 1 hour job. Plus dirt and leaves get in there easily over over yhe the battery and filter. That design is ridiculous

    Way more complicated than it needed to be. That's German over engineering.

    • @inox1ck
      @inox1ck 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It’s a 1 minute job, not that complicated. The location is easily accessible and easy to clean. The good thing is the filter is before the AC radiator and before the air ducts so dirt doesn’t get into there. The bad thing that’s common to all cars except electric or rear engine cars is the intake is very close to the engine and it warms up and when leaves fall and dirt all get easily to the filter which gets clogged easier.
      Other models need like 15minutes to replace it. Like bmw z4, opel astra g with the filter behind the glove box
