Love all of your content! You mentioned your rate for Image at 2oz per 1000 sqft. The label Is .8 per 200 sqft. I have a nutsedge out break. Should I do 4oz per 1000 for a blanket treatment per the label or use caution? Using a battery pump up sprayer.
Great, video Ron. I just put my granular pre emergent down. The liquid pre emergent sounds great, so I'm going to try that out next year. Since my lawn is only 5500 square feet, I'm going to buy a smaller bottle or prodiamine.
Ron I finally believe I can spray liquid insecticide on patches of new sods and spot spray post emergent on same day I different areas of lawn. Can I mow 1 or 2 days later ?
Hey Ron it’s 9/1/23. I ask so many ? Since can’t be in live chat. I have waited for fall pre emergent cause POA and spurge problem every yr. Only done spring pre emergent before. Do my own says ok to do pre emergent no harm any time. It’s low 80’s for days then back to mid 80’s to low 90’s. Don’t want to be too late. Normally LCN in cool season guide would put out fall pre emergent late august to early sept. Aware normally do it going towards 70’s. What say you? Beat germination of these heinous weeds ?
@@RonHenry oh great. Glad to take advise of 2 witnesses. I am always shock how quick you respond. You are a great man that put up with me or us lol. Thanks I feel good to do it today for sure.
So would you say put it down now even if the soil is still in 80s? Im so nervous to be late but also it’s still warm here in east Texas . 86 was soil temperature yesterday . I hear the soil should be in 70s for around 5 days straight . Helllppp haha
Ron, i usually over seed in the fall. I use drought tolerant blue grass hybrid. It’s my understanding that I can’t use a pre-emergent when applying grass seed. What’s the best course to follow?
Hey Ron sorry I missed this. Can you help explain why preimmergent treatment would be done in the fall for cool season grass? I know about the need for spring pre but am not clear on the general thinking for fall. Cheers!
Hey Ron always great information from your channel. Quick question- I'm in SC and temps have been in the mid 70s to low 80s in October and November so far, is it too late to put down pre emergent like prodiamine?
I would get it down right away durv. If you haven't done it yet, I would get it out ASAP. We carry several options here: golfcourselawn.store/collections/lawn-weed-killers
Thanks a ton for this. Gives me hope for the fall. Question, do you always use a measuring cup for liquids, or do you measure/weigh them on a scale as well?
@@RonHenry thank you sir for what you do for us. Q- I have coastal and certainty, should I continue with this mix or do I need to pick up all these herbicides separately as an alternate option?
@@xavy19 If you're trying to take care of sedges then adding a bit of Certainty to the tank is a good idea. Appreciate you watching. Sorry about the technical issues.
Not complicated at all. If you want easier, just use a granular pre-emergent: golfcourselawn.store/products/yard-mastery-0-0-7-prodiamine-38-45lb?ToPasteboard

As a golf course Superintendent I love how you explain the best way to get this done! You are such a pro and keep it up!
That means a lot Scott! Thanks for watching sir.
I really appreciate you sharing so much knowledge and info with us. I’m really proud of how my lawn looks since I’ve been following you!
You are so welcome! Appreciate you watching.
Thanks for this additional content Ron. Can’t get these chemical domestically in the UK but good to understand the theory.
Appreciate you watching Shazia
Ron God Bless. Awesome videos and will help me with my Empire Zoysia.
Glad it was helpful Luis!
Im glad specticle flo is now a thing so people dont necessarily have to use all these post emergents😊
It'll limit how often you need to use post-emergent herbicides for sure.

Small bottle should be perfect for 5500 square feet Alex.
@@RonHenry do you recommend marker dye for spraying a liquid pre emergent?

If you're spraying post-emergent herbicide, I would give it 2 days before mowing.
@@RonHenry ok thanks. Thought so just want to be sure. Thanks.

I would apply now if you're trying to get ahead of it. Late August / Early Sept. I'm applying mine this weekend.

Hi Ron .. how long should this warm season app last at that half rate?
3 - 4 months Doug.

Yeah unfortunately 2.5 gallons is what you’re stuck with.

You can give it a few more weeks if you like Shauna.

Hi John, If your goal is to overseed then don't use pre-emergent. Treat weeds with post-emergent herbicide that's safe for your grass type.

Hi Tom V. Go with Prodiamine at a rate of .20 ounces per 1000 square feet.

Fluids are typically measured in fluid ounces while dry products require a scale to accurately measure.
