Vanny's version of this favorite song of mine sang by Jennifer Rush way back in 1985 is a revelation. I never thought that anyone could equal it let alone eclipse it. I love both versions.

The original by Jennifer was very good (and still best), but turned into a very annoying ear bug for me as it was played like 24/7 on any radio channel at the time. That's the shit that happens to songs that turn too popular. At least that does it to me all too often. But ... that said, a song with the same title is more dear to me when I bought the double album of Frankie Goes to Hollywood back then. Still got the vinyl upstairs, with scratches all over.
Talking about originals, you can cover a song by replicating what the original artist did, and Vanny did that splendidly there, but ... you can also stick to your original self when singing songs from other artists without discrediting the original song. And just doing acoustics. And yes, there I go again ... I happen to know some angel who is very well capable of doing just that:

Absolutely beautiful pure voice!!!!! And it just sounds effortless, no straining, no struggling, nothing. I'm a singer myself, but my voice is not like hers by any stretch of the imagination. But I was classified as an alto who could hit soprano notes. But I'm much older now! LOL! I'm 59 but can still do pretty good! Vanny sounds wonderful, and I hope she continues for a long time! The range she has is absolutely amazing!

I love Vanny Vabiola and am so glad you are reacting to her. She has been dubbed the Celine Dion of Indonesia. You should check out her original original "I think I love You". I find her her pronunciation of words very unique and catchy too.
Yes, Jennifer Rush was the first, true many give Celine the credit for being the original, not so. Vanny is right there with both those amazing artist. But for me it's Laura Brannigan

I like Vanny Vabiola's version better than Laura's. Laura's voice is not clean because she is shouting and her vocals crack and break. Her vocals are not clean. Vanny's vocals are very clean even in very high notes.
Another thing that is very subtle but high level of vocal delivery is at 8:06 in this reaction video, Vanny inserted a vibrato to end the long-held very high note "Of the Power of Lovvvvvvv". She did exactly the same thing as what Celine Dion did, adding.a vibrato to end the long held very high note. Laura did not do it. Adding a vibrato at the end of the long-held note is not an easy thing to do for a vocalist. That ability is what separates the PRO and NON PRO.

The riffs up and down, vibrato and range are amazing. Vanny started singing slightly higher than Celine's original, then Vanny changed key mid song at 7:11 increasing the key again. So essentially Vanny sang it fairly higher than Celine.
