    I like how this channel emphasizes spiritual practice as more than just an academic exercise. Fully living the spiritual life is about getting out there and embracing challenges such as shown in this video.

    I thought to myself just last light that I need to start making plans to embark on my first vision quest and this was the first video on my feed 🙏🏼 I’ve been absolutely struggling with anxiety and depression and I am very low on inspiration and motivation. I don’t have the knowledge or tools to undergo the mental and spiritual reset that my mind and body have been needing. I’m tired of drowning in work and school and isolation and disconnection and surface level friendships/relationships. I’m here for something bigger than I can even fathom and I’ve completely neglected that calling I’ve had for years to know and honor myself. I needed this video. I appreciate you sharing yourself with us and I can’t wait to watch more of your journey. Love and support from SATX

    Thank you so much for sharing this Jacob. As someone who has done 3 formal vision quests over the last 3 years, I think you did a great job explaining the process, the dangers, and the wonders of a vision quest. In my case, I spent the first day fighting with myself over hunger, and my solitude and I really felt my technology addition through the withdrawal I went through...but by the evening of the first day, I was balancing out. I did several rituals a day, I journaled, I prayed and meditated. I only used a small bit of plant medicine...but I did use it...usually during the evening ritual. Like you, I did over the course of the 3 days, I heard the voices of my ancestors, the spirits of the land, and other voices as well. It is NOT easy. Vision quests evoke a powerful bit of shadow that you have to work through...but it was also very insightful and life changing.

    I’m so surprised I was able to get here as early as I did! Hearing about your experience is inspiring. I’ve been struggling with a technology addiction recently, and I’m so caught up in modern life that I’m neglecting my practice. I think a fasting would do me good, from technology and from food. I dont know if I have the means to camp out for 3 days currently, but I definitely want to prepare for something like this in the future. Thank you Jacob!

    Odin appreciates when we do self sacrifice work, my first 3 day fast was hard for first 2 days but by the third day I felt so alive, my vision seemed more vibrant the colours were so much more intense and ever sense then I’ve only eaten twice a day getting a little intermittent fasting in every day, it changed my life definitely recommend it, thanks Jacob for video

    Fasting is not only great for health but it also brings a spiritual aspect for the duration, it resets your immune system and exercises your will power. It depends on your level of health, history of fasting, and diet before jumping right into a fast. I hated fasting growing up but I look back and appreciate what I've had to do. Since I am accustomed to fasting I've no problem jumping right it, even the day of my decision to do so. Jacob has the right idea, let someone know what you are trying to do. If fasting is not routine in your life, start small but start somewhere and work your way up.

    SeeThere seems to be something special about that bare ridge behind you in the beginning of the video. Seems the vision quest is a vision or look into yourself. There are a lot of ways to do that. I did one the old way. Enclosed in a sweat lodge for four days. With nothing. But my prayers and some ceremonial sage. I was taught when it gets hard. Pray harder.

    Being that you are in Colorado, that is Bear country! It would be a good idea to have a LARGE Can of BEAR SPRAY with you at all times! It works on mountain lions too, as I learned the hard way. Skal

    I would love to do this, but I wonder how im going to achieve this while im currently bodybuilding.
    I consume a lot of protein, calories and at least a gallon of water for normal activity per day along with creatine. Skipping out these important routines for my health is definitely something i need to consider.

    Ive been Considering this myself. Ive lost faith in any form of a god recently. I dont see anything spiritual in the world anymore and really just want one last reach to activate something that gives me purpose. Maybe i will, maybe i wont. Seems cool though

    Where’s the sweat lodge and 200 prayer ties in your circle. You’re supposed to stay in for 3 days. I’ve done both peyote and none one. Hanbleceya very sacred. But good video.

      Not every vision quest is the same, I have followed what was outlined in the Vision Quest Book.
      I would say that a vision quest + sweat lodge sounds intense! But very dangerous if not supervised properly. Much like the Sundance, I do not feel ready for those yet. But perhaps one day after more practice praying/fasting

      @@TheWisdomOfOdin that fair my first hanbleceya was at 5 after I died a a kid from a dog bite to the face then we did that with sweetlodge as 200 pray ties I come from Natchez tribe tradition. Mine was 7 days because I said I’d do it. Now a day I’ll do 4 at max. Crying for a vison is good to help you with your life. Nei gong and qigong has helped me with these ceremonies as well as my chanupa being with me.

    How do I start this?

  • @emptymannull
    @emptymannull 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    I'm on day 22 or 23 of a 40 day fast right now. I've done more 3 days out n the wilderness with hero doses of shrooms, peyote, etc. than I can even count. Trust me, nothing dangerous about a 3 day if u have water and have practiced. Good weather is key. My previous record was 21 days prior to this one. I've done them for YEARS tho. I suggest talking a lot to tree spirits, animals, etc. to keep your mind on track. I've been responded directly to by ancestors via UFOs and nighttime rainbows, etc. (not on anything).
