The Elder Scrolls Lore: Alessia, Morihaus, and Belharza

  • Alessia, who went by many titles, Slave-Queen Alessia, Paravania, and Pevesh to name a few, was a Nedic slave woman in the first era, who was able to overthrow her Ayleid overlords and end human slavery in Cyrodiil. She had become the first Empress and ruler, and had established what is today known as the 8 divines. This video covers her, as well as her demigod lover Morihaus, their son Belharza, as well as a bit on the Alessian Order who reigned supreme for centuries after her death.
~This video was originally only going to be about Alessia, however Morihaus and their son do not have enough lore to cover for individual videos so I have decided to include them both in this one! The Alessian Order I briefly touch on in this video, however since they have a wide pool of lore, I will save them more for a separate video in the future.
Sources of Information used in this video:
Unfortunately, the amount of sources I have made this TH-cam Video Description too long, and TH-cam does not allow for such long descriptions, however I have made a viewable Google Doc which includes all my sources incase anyone wishes to view them!

The reason morihaus calls pelinal his uncle and pelinal calls him nephew is because pelinal was the combination aspect of lorkhan and akatosh. They were united in opinion that the humans should be freed from elves and their cruelty. And thus visited upon them with an equally if not more cruel manifestation of their anger. Lorkhan the heartless as pelinal was described to not have a heart but a crystal of pure hate in his chest, and time manipulation as he traversed through time to free the nedic peoples. He also reportedly had the ability of the thuum which is aedric tonal architecture basically that all of the aedra can wield.

    Alright, something incredible happend.
After playing the amazing mod Vigilant, I was left with many questions regarding TES lore. Who was Alessia, Pelinal, Morihaus and all those legendary figures, what was the Alessian Order and why were they so powerful?
I found your channel by accident, and I'm glad I did. Your videos are great, far beyond the quality you would expect from most channels. All my questions were given an answer and I felt closer to Godd Howard.
Yet, something else happend, I fell in love with the music you use in your videos, this one in particular. "Wrechted Weaponry" is a theme that moved me, I don't know how or why, but it truly cautivated me. This lead me to getting interested in Nier: Automata, and I eventually played it... I'll never experience anything like it again. That game completely blew my mind (I'm still recovering from the emotional rollercoaster), and it wouldn't have done so if I hadn't come to this channel, looking for TES lore...
My point is, I have to thank you, Lady of Scrolls, both for aiding me in my search for lore, and for indirectly introducing me to a game and music that I'll always carry with me. Thank you.

I was told to hit the Vigilant of Stendar with a spinning needle and that transported me straight into Coldharbour with no explanation. Before I only watched TES and Fallout lore on the Shoddycast channel. Your videos are a nice changeup after having rewatched all their lore videos for the third time over. You have gained a new loyal subscriber for sure!
I have a few suggestions though. I like listning to your videos and dozing off while trying to sleep. However, in my opinion it would be easier to listnen to if you spoke a little slower. It would also feel a little less rushed. Also, maybe it's a good idea to create a more storyline/timeline based lore series. This might make your audience more invested in your show, and more eager to see your next episode. These are just my own personal thoughts though.

When they say "Akatosh might have been present".
In what way? Spiritually? Or pretty physical looking like meeting Sheogorath or Nocturnal? Wasn't it when the Aedra created Nirn they gave up most of their power and pretty much became dormant planets. That only intervene in small and subtle ways??

I think they are mostly dormant and intervene in subtle ways. Akatosh' intervention during the Oblivion crisis was an exception I think, and mostly due to the power of the Amulet in the hands of an heir to the throne

@@verav.6424 Akatosh intervened only because Martin shattered the Amulet of Kings which had all the Emperor's souls. Not to mention it was a massive middle finger to Akatosh to do so.
