I do a yearly "stock up" in the fall time. I look for the items we do use, and I have a small designated cupboard for the food items. Everything else has a spot or it does not come in. I also get all of my art supplies and crafts for the year. We replace worn out clothes/shoes and sometimes, we don't. It seems like a lot of shopping for 1 week, but it's not, when you look at the bigger picture. We actually have less stuff, all around. We have curated to just what we really need and love. We have empty space the we do fill, but not to the brim. It lets us breathe a bit.

One of the biggest gifts i gave myself was a minimalist wardrobe. 4 every day house dresses, 1 denim skirt and 2 shirts for when we play outside with the kids/park/hiking, 2 nice dresses for going out to town, and 1 formal dress for a wedding or husbands work functions. ❤ Edit: I do keep one solid black dress i can paint in, stain the furniture, deep clean, or get messy with whatever project we are working on.
