The more specific, the dumber the response will be. And from what i see from you people in general, you don't seem to be interested in what happens abroad, unless US is involved. So it's not like you had to know the capital of each country in the world for example, not even these smart-asses do.

A few years ago the Germany comedy program extra 3 (yes, we germans have humor) made a song called “Erdowie, Erdowo, Erdogan” (go watch it now, it has english subtitles) based on Nena’s song “Irgendwie, Irgendwo, Irgendwann”. The song openly criticised Turkey’s handling with the press, woman and the kurds. Long story short: The turkish ambassador found out about this, send it to Ankara and Erdogan wasn’t all too happy... Germany is probably my most visited country in Europe and I didn’t really have a bad experience there. People are mostly open-minded and welcoming. But the one thing is when I’ve learned German for some time back home and ready to speak when I visited Germany, people see my Asian face and started speaking English 😂 I was like “Well I was trying to practice but...okay...😅”

A few years ago the Germany comedy program extra 3 (yes, we germans have humor) made a song called “Erdowie, Erdowo, Erdogan” (go watch it now, it has english subtitles) based on Nena’s song “Irgendwie, Irgendwo, Irgendwann”. The song openly criticised Turkey’s handling with the press, woman and the kurds. Long story short: The turkish ambassador found out about this, send it to Ankara and Erdogan wasn’t all too happy... He sued the shows presenter Christian Ehring and even went as far as to demand from the German Government to cancel the show (later even the channel NDR) all together. Obviously (-and rightfully!) Germany said no. This caused the song to get so much attention that extra 3 made Erdogan to “employee of the month”. Then, just a short time later they released another song about Erdogan, this time based on Nena’s 99 Red Balloons. After that came the so called “Böhmermann Affair“ in which the presenter of the German comedy show “ZDF Magazin Royal” wrote and read a poetry criticising and insulting Erdogan.
