  • This was an interesting adventure, if I were to do it again, I think I would make the circles smaller and overlap them - so MANY color ideas and talk about 3D effects! These are so cool in person - I was thinking about using these as paperweight or framing them - they are quite a statement

    So, essentually, you can't add resin color to clay until after you bake it? Just trying out how to color my clay and how make colors neon..
    Thank you for this tutorial. I'll try most of them to determine which is better! THANK YOU for this information. It really has helped me!

    Love these! I wonder what it would look like with a clear layer instead of white on the bottom.
    Every time I watch one of your videos I am inspired!

      I thought the same thing since it seemed almost a waste to paint the bottom of at least the piece on the bottom if you're not going to be able to see it. Also, you'd have two different ways to display it if you could see both sides! 😀

    Hola estuve. Buscando modelos fuera de lo común. Y los tienes. Todos muchas gracias por los vídeos. Me. Ayudan mucho quería saber de qué materia el es el nombre del material que termina siendo poroso y que le añades los 🌈 colores

    Wow, these turned out gorgeous! 😍 I love the almost coral look. I do think you did a few things inefficiently and wasted some supplies in doing so but that's the nature of trying new things, lol. 😅 However, I would like to see something like these suspended in all clear resin as that would give you the option of displaying either side. 🙏

      I like the idea of seeing either side! I did learn by doing this - now I think I will work on improving the idea :-)

      @@ResinAsYouWish Honestly, I think it would look incredible if you did a flat tray or flat platter with this technique (using a food safe resin) so you could use it to display like cheese and crackers or something on a table. I know that would take ages to make but you could make the clay parts smaller and more randomly layer them so it ends up nice and colorful and if you make it clear and flat it could be used on either side like I said. Also, maybe make 4 coasters and each coaster could have a different color at the top and bottom so they are all different but compliment each other. Would make a lovely little display for guests. 😁

      All I used it for was to dab on right before I used the hair dryer- it gives the color a textured look

    Christy 😂 they look like a coral reef they are pretty however I think you try and one up yourself each time you put out a video🤣lol that was a lot of work but great outcome they were pretty thick I get where you said paperweight. For someone who doesn’t work with clay you did very nicely I think if you used lace material and put in varnish and let dry you could have same effect probably without all that work. I have used polymer clay I’ve made things like rocks and sharks teeth when ran out of real things 😉 anyway thanks for your hard work enjoyed the video and as usual you know I love your artistic talent and your creativity 💋😘👏🏻

      What is that mold you used? It’s not a coaster mold is it?

    • @ResinAsYouWish
      @ResinAsYouWish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was thinking Coral too - I wanted to see how the clay would do, I'll play with it more, I like the Lace idea and using a different color scheme, I didn't want them to look "moldy" so i went with rainbow !

    I'm new with resin but am learning to use it with polymer clay. I was wondering about the resin on top of the white paint, can you tell me why you do that? Thank you❤️

    • @ResinAsYouWish
      @ResinAsYouWish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the clay circles were beige and I painted them white so the alcohol ink colors would be bright (I should have just used white clay) the bottom layer is white, white color mixed in resin - each circle is suspended in it's own layer of resin - to make the 3d look I was going for
