It is pay time and a half and on holidays is double time and a half. In some buisneses is 15 hrs of work. The max I've seen is 16 hrs. To motivate employees to work extra. Extra pay is given so they have motivation. Also depending of how much someone is being paid. It can make a difference. Plus if someone is married. They can definitely use the money for a vacation. Or help at home with home expenses and repairs.

As a business owner/ electrical contractor, this crew looks and sounds like the kind of crew a business like this and mine could only dream of.
The conversing of the job. The dedication of the crew. The attention to detail is all amazing and a pipe dream to many of us.

I would actually pay to watch this, but never watch discovery. I hate television with a passion, its the same garbage over and over again and when you think about you actually do not get to pick what you want to watch. The higher ups get to pick what is provided on tv and crammed into your brain.

haha i thought the same thing. It seems that the heavy stuff doesn't need it but in reality the heavier the more straps needed. I had a big, like i mean big, propane tank on a trailer break free from straps and it almost got me into a accedent. and it was heavy
well it migth not go out of the truck but in an emergency braking situation that engine will end up in the cab if not strapped lol

it would be dumb to let it slide forward and hit the cab during a sudden stop.
I have a 1977 c-10 stepside, so I watch as many truck builds as I can to get ideas for my own use. Keep up the killer builds.

I work 13 hours a day, for the last 7 years plus i work 6 days on seven. And 'officially' i work 8 hours/day,5 days a week, so most the money is in an envelop at the end of the month. Tax free😏...

This is epic guys!!! Live this video.. only thing missing in the Monkey show on discovery is Richard having this enthusiasm, padding on shoulders and telling these guys they do a great job. Instead of being stressful and looking aggravated.. (maybe it's just discovery who makes it like that) but I like they way he treats his employees in this video compared to the normal show!! Brilliant shit guys!

In the very beginning it was only Richard and Aaron doing the work and sometime Casey the old paint guy would help out I’ve seen him work plenty I. The beginning but not so much anymore which is understandable he is the boss and earned his right to not have to get his hands dirty anymore and I’m sure with the amount of money he pays his guys along with what they get from the show they aren’t bothered at all lol

you need them, I hit the gas once too hard with 1 ton of dryice and it slid across the deck and smashed the tailgate but the only thing that stopped it were the cables holding the tailgate. driver behind me had brown pants im sure.

I thought the same thing about a super heavy old wood burning stove that, I managed to somehow drag up on a trailer by myself, somehow without killing myself that is. It normally take two to three people to move it around. I got it on the trailer, and I thought to myself I don't need to tie it down, it ain't going anywhere. I was so wrong put the truck into gear about a foot later and slid off the back of the trailer. Was like, oh my God, 😭 now I got to put it back of the trailer, why!!! Always you just strap, lesson learned. 👍😉

Advertisers give him those parts, he don’t pay for everything and anyone can afford parts for a car or truck. It just takes the regular guy to build it. I have $25,000 into my car but don’t think I would ever get what’s put into it. Reason they get it because it’s out of his shop

I saved the video to do a parts list. I know I need to save up at least 20k first.
This is no doubt the finest custom truck that I have ever seen in 72 years, bar none! The looks and the mechanicals are as good as they get. The Budnicks are the icing on the cake. The only choice for a build of this caliber. Thank you guy’s and even Richard. (The wallet).
This gives a really understanding about hard it is to make good TV programmes. All those people on set behind the camera do make the difference. This is a very good effort though with a minimal production team. Truck looks Gr8! 👍🏻

I used to have a 1998 single cab short bed obs sold it for $3,500 in the damn thing was an Immaculate condition back in 2011 now you be lucky to get that truck for Seven Grand and you're right on the money with that every single person with OBS truck is going to think they can get 12 grand out of it freaking ridiculous how people think their stuff is worth way more than it really is

Was an actual build though, not a single part brought that bolted on. full retrimmed interior, panel/paint, turbo engine conversion and AWD conversion with all associated crossmembers, subframes, axles, driveshafts, lines, plumbing, etc being fabricated, custom looms including tuning. etc etc
That truck is just bolt on everything, not hard in any shop especially one that claims to be the best in the world. Catalogue engineering 101

I like this idea sounds interesting, maybe the person that painted the motor box... Maybe better yet s bit of appreciation for their time and thought... What would be really cool is to give them a shout out and use that art around the shop 😎
just have to make a cutout of the logo in some sheet metal with their plasma table and use it as a stencil

And Foose has rusted bodies to fix, BEFORE he even starts on the reshaping, moderning... Oh... and Chip Foose is actually a genuine, decent human being. I suspect Chip is a loyal Dad, husband, friend, man. (I just don't get that vibe from RR. Maybe he is, but I haven't seen much to make think he is)
One thing I give Gas Monkey over Overhaulin'... GM director has the camera held on a shot for longer than two seconds. The O director NEVER let's your brain actually recognize what your eye is seeing. The shot changes so quickly, you don't have time to soak it in and fully appreciate the work that's been done.

My first truck was a 1997 Chevy 1500 2 wheel drive, customed it as I could afford . Love those trucks.
