My toddler passed away last year march 24th at 2:09 am. She was only 2 and had a congenital heart defect she didnt make it while in the ICU for recovery. We both loved watching PONYO endlessly. She would nag me to watch it with her. And we would sing along to this song. This song will always remind me of her and has a special place in my heart maybe 40-50 years it will hurt less. I can hear her singing thru this every time i watch this

I cried to this song and even the other movies the one that made me cry the most is probably howl's moving castle just hearing this music helps my anxiety and makes me feel so happy, forgetting all of the bad shi that's getting in the way ♥️

I remember watching Miyazaki’s films as a kid. I saw ponyo in theaters with friends for my 9th birthday. I don’t know why but watching this brought me to tears. Miyazaki is truly in every sense of the word, a genius. Thank you Miyazaki for filling my childhood with amazing memories and reminding me to never lose that childish wonder. Ponyo and your films will always hold a special place in my heart
