I'm one of the the unlucky ones I had 18 auto immune diseases for over 20 years would have never thought to go carnivore I got so bad that I was in the hospital and they told my wife I probably didn't have long. She had just seen Mikaela Peterson on Joe Rogan and we had nothing left to lose. 2 years later every medical problem I had is gone or in complete remission! I was so sick the military had to retire me at 30 and at 45 I became a shut in cause I couldn't walk from the RA and I couldn't go out without 💩 myself! Now at 49 I lost 120lbs learned how to mountain bike and been back in the gym the last 6 months! Life is good and God has blessed me! Thanks guys for unlearning me from the standard fitness world! 💪👍

Were you ever stationed at FT Mclellan AL?
I was and I had tumors etc .. the same tumors returned in my chest and had to be removed again .. I think eventually it's gonna take me down ... But I had all kinds of issues while at Ft Mclellan where I served OSUT as an MP .. it looks like your health has improved 👍 but I wanted to throw that out there bcuz ft Mclellan was shut down by the EPA and Monsanto chem co has to pay 700 mill to locals in Anniston Alabama where ft Mclellan is located .. they only paid the civilians but naturally they deny chemicals existed on base .. but the EPA labelled it a superfund and shut down y the entire base I think in 94 ... I was there 88 ... Its not been reopened since...
They found pcb's and nbc chemicals in the soil water air etc .. shit that causes leukemia and a list of the other 1% bad disorders
Anyway I just wondered brother 🤡
      Best of luck 👍

Love y'all. Been listening 4-5 years. I fell off my fitness around a year ago due to a variety of things coming up in life. I'm prepping for my wedding in November and have been consistent in the gym the past 3 months; diet is dialed in, working through Anabolic for the third time and really focusing on mobility and trigger sessions. I'm noticing significantly less back pain (something I battle with) during squats and DLs. Focusing on mobility with much lighter weight has helped, but I also want to bump my numbers (about to start a bulk) before going into a cut prior to our wedding. Would LOVE Powerlift to help with this! I appreciate y'all. Enjoy your day.

When it comes to nutrition I highly trust in the intuition of kids. When I was a kid this was how I ate:
I ate my meat first, because I liked that most. Then I ate potatoes, and veggies as last, if any.
I ate lots of eggs, real butter and I ate lots of salt. I was always skinny and highly energetic, good in a lot of sports.
My health declined at a later age when I listened to other people because they all said I ate unhealthy. After a year of misery I realised I was on the right track intuitively and probably should not listen to obese people concerning health.

This is very true to me aswell. When I was growing up I mainly ate my aunties meals, she would constantly cook mashed potatoes with ground beef and vegetables, breakfast was always eggs with some toast and bacon. I ate a ton and was lean and athletic but strong.
When I moved out about 16/17 I started just eating terribly, drinking etc and gained a bunch of weight. Then I yo-yo’d on keto for about a year after getting brainwashed by the keto nerds. Then one day I thought fuck it let me just eat how I ate when I was in shape. I ate nothing but potatoes, ground beef, eggs etc, tons of milk (all I drank as a kid) and within a few months I was stronger and leaner.

    Very informative! I took notes!
I'd add that asparagus and artichokes are vey high in inulin, a prebiotic fiber that helps with intestinal flora building and maintaining, especially during dietary changes. With milk, fermented yogurt and kefir are even better for most people. Uncooked spinach is also a no no because of the oxalic acid. White rice, white potatoes and a few other complex carbs are even better if they're refrigerated first, even if reheated, because they form resistant starch, which moves through the intestines slower, feeds beneficial bacteria and produces butarates. Potato salad is awesome; olives, olive oil mayo, onions and peppers. Cashews have an actual fruit around the cashew kernel. To raw nuts I'd add sunflower seeds; great for "nut butter".

This was great!! I actually did the carnivore diet by accident - that's how I learned about this diet - because I was on a weight training program where I had to eat high protein and was instructed to eat it first. I was worried about it because I couldn't eat anything else after the protein. My trainer reassured me not to worry, but I started researching and sure enough...seems to be very beneficial for some people. I noticed for myself that sweet cravings disappeared - I could walk past a bowl of fruit and not be tempted at all, which used to be a problem for me. I also noticed, just by upping my protein intake, my weight began to plummet. It took a couple of months, but I didn't need to watch calories at all!! Funny thing: I had done every conceivable diet, would lose weight fast and then put it back on without changing anything. With eating primarily carnivore, the weight came off slowly at first and then just melted off. I've never had that happen before!
This has reminded me to get back to the high protein first eating. I put on a few pounds over the lockdowns...it's time to get serious again! ;-)

Hi guys, I just found your channel and truly love that you cater to us regular folk that are starting out in the gym and on a healthy lifestyle journey..in this short period of time I really look up to you guys and only listen to your podcast since i started on July 1,2022..But I'm not sure if you're aware of the toxic gym culture that's going on right now especially on social media? There's been a ton of incidents of people secretly filming new gym goers with 'bad form' just trying to weight lift in order to embarrass them online without their consent..I feel so lucky and blessed that I get to go around 4am when there's hardly anyone there due to the fact that I'm currently working from home. But for anyone that has to go during peak hours when ego-driven men/women are dominating the gym floors..what advice or encouragement would you offer us? Anything would help. This is sad and crazy. Thank you so much in advance! You guys are a solid rock 💪🙏🧠❤

Nice! Just finished eggs and white rice with a touch of seasoned soy sauce. The whole time I was wondering if white rice is really what “they say”. This episode hit at the right time!

Thank you for including potatoes on this list! They are so nutrient dense, low in calories, satiating, (and delicious). It makes me sad when they're demonized.

The cholesterol issue has been debunked for over decades, but the 'we dont want want you to eat animal products and stay healthy ' people have lots of influence in nutrition science and control a lot of the narrative. The same applies to fat....

Excellent content as usual. Having gut issues, this advice is very beneficial. Getting enough protein and fiber are the biggest things and everything on this list adds to that. I’m debating trying seed, but I’m taking masszymes currently.

Putting seed (chia) into a coffee grinder first, helps me digest the seed.

Always enjoy your videos gentlemen. I learned about satellite cells from your podcast with Dr. Scott Stevenson. By the end of that podcast when you guys were wrapping up, I couldn't believe it was over as well -- the conversation was so intriguing and kept me really interested. Thanks for all you do!

Throwing my comment in for the MAPS program: So, I know you can't cut fat and bulk at the same time, and I know you guys recommend to focus on weight training in order to build muscle to increase your metabolic rate and lose fat that way. Currently, I weight 205lbs and could probably stand to lose 30lbs of fat or so, I'd be fairly cut though (definitely not shredded) at that amount of fat loss. Here's my question: For my protein intake to go the muscle-building route, do I want to focus on the 'bulking' number or the 'cutting' number for protein needs, or are they much different?

I’ve been weight lifting for 6 months. I’m just not realizing I can’t out exercise a bad diet. I’m stronger but still have “fluff” 😂 Looking forward to adding more of these foods! And fasting…I think 😅

I just got the “virus”…and lost my sense of smell and taste (on day 3)….killing my appetite!!! I’m tracking to make sure I eat enough calories/protein…it’s so weird. Everything tastes like cardboard. Great for a cut though…still training (just resting more)….you guys are keeping me sane while I wait for my smell/taste to come back. ❤️💪🏋️‍♀️🥗
