edit : sorry in the video you are saying dont use for 48v , i just had to watch few more seconds. 0:57 can i use this kind of fuse box for 48v batterypack for led lights ? battery pack's actual voltage is 52v-57v, i need to connect 3 buck converters to battery pack to power up some led lights in home. but if something happens to buck i want to add a fuse in between buck and battery. will this kind of fuse box work. i looked few on aliexpress and they are rated at 32v max. will that be a problem because buck wont be taking more than 1-2A from battery.
Hallo Nick, is there a huge difference between DC and AC breakers? Or will AC breakers work in a DC circuit if they have the correct Amperage rating for the circuit?
Exactly, couldn't have said it better. AC goes through 0 50 or 60 times per second so it's 'easier' to extinguish the arc. DC doesn't, so it's harder. There are some cool video's online showing this.
@@cleversolarpower Thank you Nick, so the "solar panel" charging side must all be DC hardware while the Inverter out can have AC hardware, but inverter in must also be DC breakers and/or fuses.
Hello. I did a DIY solar installation in my house, 1000w inverter with one 150ah 12v battery, here is my problem, I am able to make use of my vacuum cleaner which has power rating of 700w but my fridge of 85w is not working. What can be the problem.
I suspect the high startup power of the fridge as well. Especially if it's an older fridge. Maybe you can add capacitors to capture the peak power draw.
@@cleversolarpower I bought the fridge mid last year. Cam you give me a step by step guide to wire up the capacitor. I can provide you with the wiring diagram
Thank you for this. I just purchased the fuse box from you link. Cheers.
Thanks!
Good Morning ! Thank You. TAKE CARE..

You need to step down converter for going from 48 to 12V

There is a huge difference between AC and DC breakers. Do not use AC breaker for DC. It has to do with extinguishing the arc when the breaker opens.
@@johno4238Thank you so much for the reply, I suspected as much, just needed confirmation.

My refrigerator pulls under 200 W while running. The compressor will pull over 1400 W while starting. Need a 2000 W inverter just for the refrigerator

Mine melted at 20A back charging my battery bank through a 30A fuse
