I was there. It was probably the best concert of my life. I'm 72 now and have been to a lot of concerts and pop festivals, Hendix, Doors, Floyd, Clapton, Knopfler, Dead, etc. ... peace man. This one has it's place in my favorite memories. I remember the bass came in first and played with echoes around the stadium, finding the resonant frequency. I was on the loge, which is not supported underneath just on the back edge, it swayed in time to the music. I don't remember any food fights or pushing, just a lot of very happy people. The sound quality was incredible, they wrung the stadium by it's neck, such superb musicians. It was a really nice night in LA, both cool and warm at the same time. Thank you Cure.
holy shit this sounds amazing and the fact you’ve been to so many different types of shows really says how amazing the cure really are. my dad always told me the cure were one of the best live acts he had ever seen and i remember being so shocked because he had/has racked up quite the list himself for his time.
When you see this song live, is when you understand it's unimaginable beauty and feel the immense power of the music unfolding before you. It's almost too much emotion to handle, especially as an opening song. I saw it live for the first time in Fairfax VA, 1996 and I got so emotional I teared up. I never thought it would happen like that.
i have that concert on bootleg and dvd - copy is on TH-cam - I cried also and when the crowd comed down during why can't i be you with the lovecats blurb is priceless
I think we all need to feel like you have. I do think some people just don't feel like... they don't embrace being human. I love that you have had your heart ripped out, that you know it will take all the kings horses and men to put it back together. Its perfect that we have company via song and words. we are not alone
and every one in prague feels the same way - greatest album ever. how does one come to terms with the spill of notes and bells, you can't make it Jolie ier
"i think it's dark and it looks like rain you" said "and the wind is blowing like it's the end of the world" you said "and it's so cold it's like the cold if you were dead" and then you smiled for a second. Boris left the band in 1993. 19 years:-( ago. Porl left the bank for several times, but as we know, forever, from this year.:-( Roger left the band for several times, not known when at last...he is now in the band, until when? Laurence is missing too. why did not Robert make the end, so nice cut, in 1990s? I love you Rob, soooo much, but you cant make the end perfect.---
I about lost my mind at the Patriot Center in DC when they started their 96 show with this ong, never hoped to see it live by that point. The versions then were better than they are now to be honest. Synths matched up better, Jason's drums sounded better too, closer to Boris.

LOL even Robert Smith was wearing a flannel in '96 :p

He wore one in 1993 at the XFM concert, then a couple of times in 95. It was weird seeing him wear it here. This was after the USA leg, no?
