    Hello John,
    good challenge. I've done a lot of watches so far. But none of them were this beautiful. I'll try this when I buy a wood lathe. You've created an amazing watch. Congratulations. The wood you use is beautiful. See you. Take care, my friend.
    All the best.

      Thank you. I love the skeleton effect where you see the mechanisms of the clock. The wood is imported and sold at my local turning shop. I liked using the wood as it finished very nicely.
      Thank you for watching and commenting. Much appreciated

    Hi Jiggsy,
    That is an awesome clock.
    Fantastic video and if we are all honest we have all forgotten to press record at some important point in a project. I certainly have.
    Thank you so much for joining the challenge and I'm looking forward to seeing what you make in 2021.
    I couldn't watch this live as I was flat out in bed having done my back in on Tuesday night.
    Take care Jiggsy and thanks once again.
    Cheers, Huw.

      @@JiggsysShed I just play a little guitar too and I had the same problem, the string holder came off, I bolted it on. But it was a long time ago)

    • @JiggsysShed
      @JiggsysShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately the strings do put a lot of tension on the bridge. After repairing the bridge, I ended up having to repair it again with bigger screws... I think my daughter had messed around with the tuners creating further tension.

      @diygeneration5566 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JiggsysShed In my guitar I immediately screwed the string holder not with screws but with bolts with nuts inside, and of course I did not forget the glue.

    • @JiggsysShed
      @JiggsysShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. Yeah I was really pleased with how well the wood finished. I would say that the clock housing took longest. The feet turned fairly quickly as it was fairly small. Think if they were bigger it would have taken me longer based on the spindle I had just turned.
