@@tradingarsenal9767 they are at fault for having the kids in the car in the first place because for 1) they got the wrong person and 2) for not giving the baby medical attention and trying to advise the mother to not take her baby in the hospital. Only a guilty mf would do that. Everyone is focusing on the act and not WHY the kid was in there and what took place after. Look at the whole picture. Even if the initial fall was the accident, the police are still at fault no matter how you look at it.

I'm a paramedic, and FYI... we can't "discharge" a patient from our care; only a Dr can do that after evaluation at a medical facility (or the parent, or patient declines care). I'm curious if the medics were really allowed to evaluate the child, bc IDK how I'd even write that up so as to not lose my license. Also, I personally would've argued for evaluation bc of possible head injuries based on the fall. I hope this baby hasn't suffered permanent injury and the officer responsible is held accountable, especially after trying to deny care. That's outrageous.

@@oldladyfish Even so, getting the child medical attention if you feel they need it, is crucial. A police officer trying to persuade you that there is no reason for you to tend to your child is asinine. The child’s face is scratched up and his lips are swollen.
Also, I will say, I’ve dropped a baby maybe once or twice in my life, and it happened when I was a child, and never so irresponsibly. No injuries. Even as a child, I would’ve never gotten out of a car like that with the child in my arms. Keep them inside, get out, and then grab them. That’s how people get out of the car with their damn purses, gym bags, or groceries.

    • @uniquelyme1982

@@oldladyfish accidents happen all the time but treat it as that and take accountability for it. Trying to cover it up and prevent a baby from getting proper medical care is not an accident it is the exact opposite in fact. I’m not saying they threw the baby to the ground but that child fell on his head and it is clearly swollen and bruised. He needs a cat scan to ensure there isn’t any further internal injuries that can not be seen. Denying that the paramedic team took him and then later attempts to persuade the mother not to get medical attention for the child is intentional. If I as a mother had dropped my child by mistake on his face onto the pavement and I can clearly see that there is external injury to his head and I do not seek medical attention for my child because it’s an “accident” I would be prosecuted. They didn’t want the child taken to the hospital because they didn’t want a clear and accurate report of the injury. Which they knew would have happened at the hospital. It clearly said even their report about the incident downplayed the child’s injuries. That my dear is not an accident and makes it appear a lot more intentional in fact.

I hope the Baby is ok.this could effect him physically for the rest of his life, nobody can tell the full extent of his injury, and his older brother will see that in his mind for many years to come. The officer who dropped him and those who tried to stop her from taking him to the ER knew they did wrong and possibly on purpose. They need to go.and they admitted they did not follow the 15 second procedure and that would have been grounds for a dismissal of any crimes. Why did they go in on the Dad to begin with. Just glad no one got shot. I pray the child will be healed and not suffer any long term effects. They knew they messed up. They didn’t follow protocol and it ended up not being the person they were looking for after the fact but in that moment they thought it was. They were really upset that he shot at them when they came in and handled it incorrectly from that point on. They didn’t want the mom to take the baby to the hospital or the medics either because they said they downplayed the child’s injuries in the written report. Had she not taken the child it wouldn’t have been an accurate report on just how bad that baby was hurt in their care. It screams malice instead of accident because of how they treated the “accident” after the fact. That poor baby could’ve had serious internal injuries. Thank goodness he didn’t but imagine the physiological effect that this may have on both of these babies for years to come. They will probably have a fear of the police forever because of this.

This is appalling, these men need to be charged for neglect and the one holding the baby, for abuse. This is a baby no matter what the best care should have been given. Mom needs to research and if there is any finding of prejudice it should also be charged as a hate crime. This make me sick and disgusted, seems like our love and tolerance to others is going backwards.

This makes me so angry. The child falling out of the car and onto his face genuinely could have been an accident, accidents happen and sometimes they have devastating consequences; However, these police officers clearly saw this situation as a Public Relations nightmare, and treated it as such, when in reality they should have treated this as exactly what it was: a situation where a child was very likely to be severely injured, and required immediate medical attention. In this situation the police prioritized protecting their reputation against accusations of inappropriate conduct against people of color in their custody; over the health, safety and wellbeing of a child. They literally chose covering their asses so they 'don't look racist' to the public, over the life of a child. It's disgusting.

Exactly what she said, if she had not brought her 1 year old to get immediate medical attention after a fall like that Dcf could have been all over her a s s. Every adult with half a heart or brain cell knows babies need immediate care after a head injury of any kind. I was just thinking it as she said it. This is unacceptable completely. an accident turns into deliberate mistreatment at that moment when you tell a mother not to bring her baby to get checked out. This could have been avoided they brought it on them selves with their lack of human decency after the baby was accidentally dropped. Now it’s a question of was it an accident because they were so incredibly careless. Prayers for those poor boys who were needlessly traumatized by these officers

@@sh4808 Hi Ms May, maybe I could've explained my point differently. There's a very big disparity with humanity right now.
It is an indoctrination of maladaptive oppression that people are blaming victims for being victims!
      VS holding wrongdoers to account!
The psychology trick behind this for instance; what if they were at a home that was thought to be selling drugs & they found an ounce of marijuana or crack cocaine? The attention would switch from any wrongdoing to only the drugs!
      Hence the Maladaptive Psyche!!
Blaming victims fir being victims is WRONG!
Is it okay that a baby was hurt? No! No it's not!
The fact that they found nothing or were at the wrong house is in addition to "failing systems" requiring investigation and Improvement!
So it does "Not" matter why they were there.
Even if they were at the right place & found illegal activity, the Baby being hurt IS & Should be the ONLY focus of concern.

I am furious! This is disgusting abuse by those who are sworn to protect. If the child is in your care then you are responsible 🙂 plain and simple. Show the officers face...
SHOW YOUR COWARDLY FACE "OFFICER"! I pray this child heals well and there is no permanent damage. 🙏

I agree honestly If we want to finally start having justice what we need to do is to end qualified immunity for the police officers and for the sheriffs so that they can finally start getting convicted for their wrongdoings

Being a little boy and sustaining that type of injury will have lasting effects. When he grows up, his facial hair in that big spot is never going to grow in all the way. I know this from personal experience with the same injury, though not as large. I fell off a bike as a kid.

Omg. I really yelled out loud to hear that child was dropped on his head unto the road? Wow wow. That is a unbelievable. That poor baby. I hope they r sued for this poor care of a baby, I sure hope his brain is going to be ok. Because this baby could have future problems as he gets older.

all i know is that if this happened to my 1 year old, I wouldn't sue anyone. The law will not do justice when it's one of their own that breaks the law against it's citizens. I'd take out all responsible and all that took part to cover up instead of reporting it to IA. #FREECAIN

@@purplecitygrow2233 I kinda of agree but I would sure try hard and any monies I would put in an account for the two boys because the one that got hurt and the one that saw it. Even if it was two dollars each.

Bad cops need to be fired. Own up to their wrong doing and I feel they should have to pay restitution to the parents for the baby being hurt . I’m tired of all these bad cops.
