Hi, my 99 320ML has an issue that I have to restart the engine every mile or so. Before it was a few times on a 100 mile trip but now all the time. Driving slow is a bit better, its worse with more power. What do you think? The obd said misfire on all cylinders. I do have a little problem with the headgasket but only a very minor water leakage. Thanks, great video!
That could easily be related to the headgasket, too much water into the cylinders, fouling out plugs, clogging cats, lots of potential issues coming from water leakage and a bad headgasket. Thanks for watching!
@@explorinlearnindoing5462 2 liters is definitely something to be concerned about, but I've seen much worse. Definitely due for replacement of those gaskets or the engine as a whole.
yes, when truck is at operating temp, it can stall and you get turn over no start. YES O2 sensor. ( I bought a cheap scanner on amazon ..25 buks. IT came up right away with this exact problem I have. Fixing tis week will post again.)
@@crewtheaftermath4105 It can certainly create a no start condition, but if your scanner points to other sensors I'd investigate those before replacing arbitrarily. If you have a live data readout on the scanner, that would help diagnose what's going on with each sensor. Thanks for watching!

You just need to figure out which side of the engine is bank 1 and 2, once you do that you're just replacing the post-catalytic converter sensor on that side. It varies by manufacturer, and I can't remember Mercedes' nomenclature off the top of my head. Thanks for watching!
The sensor that detects that is the second one down, not sure if bank 2 is driver or passenger side though. That said, you may have a bad cat and not a bad sensor with that code. Thanks for watching!
Hi, thanks for the video. Im getting codes for o2 sensors so I changed all four of them. I used my Reader to clear the codes and take off check engine, however after driving for about 20 minutes the codes came back. I am also getting another code which is p0400(exhaust gas recirculation flow) ... does p0400 have anything to do with the reason why o2 sensor codes have t erased even after I changed all four of them? Thanks again for your video and your insight
The EGR code could potentially affect the initialization of O2 sensors, but from your description it sounds like you have a clogged or leaking EGR system (not uncommon on these) as well as potentially a wiring problem with the O2 sensors if they were all replaced with the correct parts. Definitely would require some poking around to diagnose past that. Thanks for watching!
Generally not, unless your vehicle is running terrifically rich due to the bad O2 sensor, generally white smoke, especially if consistent, is a headgasket issue. Thanks for watching!
