Certainly one of the better Lordhair client videos/results. Only comment I would make is that it looks very dark at the end. Almost too dark to be age-appropriate. Thanks for your sharing your experiences, Jo! A smaller-sized hair system for your crown is possible if you were to order a custom-made unit. We also have stock clip-on hair systems which may work for you: th-cam.com/video/Euh1cyBpeas/w-d-xo.html.
Looks great. A few questions. 1)How do you get the tape off the unit without tearing the thin skin 2) do you prefer the thicker skin? 3) how many months do you get with it? 4) isn't it to hot compared to lace? 5) whenever I get a stock system I from lordhair the color never matches. How is your color? Thanks so much
Hi ! I can help I use PU unit 0.03 as well. So to remove it you can use Walker Tape C -22 solvent it’s recommended but they also have a faster one called Rapid Release and it works faster but use it only on the hair system to remove the adhesive and it makes it much easier and faster to brake down the tapes and adhesives, use a rag to basically in a wiping motion to wipe away the glue. But remember this is after you have let it sit on the system for a few min so it can brake down the adhesive first so remember to do it when you have time I say about an hour or so that way you don’t have to rush. For me I have it down to about 30 min. And the PU system is way! Easy to clean. I don’t think I’ll go back to lace anymore plus the hair line looks much more realistic and clean. When it comes to color it probably be best if you order a color ring from them and when it arrives look through it and try to find the best color match. And 0.03 thin skin is much more fragile but ! If you take the time to use the proper products it will last. I forgot to mention it’s no real difference in the way it feels meaning if lace or thin skin is hotter, no difference at all for me. But a white adhesive will show in hot weather because it brakes down in hot weather so I recommend Ultra Hold by Walker on the hairline as well as Walker Max Sport scalp protector is a must! It will help to make last longer.
Hi Brooklyn - I as well have the C-22 stuff. It’s super oily and a mess to clean from overspray onto my counters. Does it work? Yes! I also will use the 91% alcohol on my base to remove tape. It was way to dark. I had LordHair send me a color match ring (you can return it when you’re done for a full refund just pay shipping). I was able to look at the different colors and went with a #2 which is pretty perfect. Longevity wise I’ve gone 2 months in the .03. Another person could maybe go longer but it started shedding around 1.5 to 2 months in. The one I have on now the S1-V hasn’t shed at all and it just feels more durable. I’m really liking it.
That looks amazing sir, what cut is that? I received mine a day ago and don’t really have people who install the units here. I going gangsta and doing it myself… I think. It’s not cut at all. I think I need help lol.
Glad you like it, Raul! This is haircut LD0049 and there is more information in the description. Hopefully, you'll find a suitable place near you but let us know if we can help you!
This does look really good. The video was really well done and the system looks extremely natural. Does the .08 mm hairline look a lot different when exposed compared to the .03 mm? I’d love to know because I’m currently using the .03 mm S22 model but would like something a little more durable and shed resistant. But if the hairline isn’t as natural or gets dirtier due to a thicker edge, I’ll probably stick to .03 mm. Thanks.
Hi Patrick. The hairline looks pretty identical. I did notice that as the 0.03 gets older the front hairline poly needs to be trimmed due to the hairs shedding out. I’ve yet to have to do that with the 0.08
awesome job Michael. great self application. do keep us updated on this system. any shedding yet? if you sweat will dirt show easily? how difficult is the maintenance.. I'm thinking of getting this system after wearing French LAce for 2 years. yours looks extremely good!!
@@wadeursrey9960 with lace don't even bother with glue. I use only tape. I have french lace with poly on sides and back. It's reduced my cleanup time by 1/3. Less mess.
@@allanpa I used glue with a lace and either she didn’t do a good job or she didn’t know what she was doing. It seeped through to the top. I contacted lord hair and was told I could use tape on a thin skin as long as it’s the .06mm. Which is the one I have coming now.
Hi allanpa Maintenance for me is pretty easy and straight forward. I’ll remove the whole thing probably every 2 weeks and redo the perimeter. I’ll clean up the front about every week. I use adhesive remove and alcohol. Take your time with polly it’s not as forgiving as the lace. I’ve not had diet or swear bother the system much.
Very hard to say, Stephen! First of all, buying your own hair systems directly online means you can avoid the monthly charge you may pay to a hair system salon. So, it's maybe better to think of it as an annual cost but even then it's hard to say as the total depends on the hair system (different types of hair systems cost different amounts and last different amounts of time) but maybe you'd be looking at 4 hair systems a year. However, some hair systems may only last a month or two and some can last up to six months.
You mentioned that you usually go to a Hair Salon in Kansas City to cut your own hair and blend it in. I am in Kansas City, and I haven't purchased a hair system from Lord Hair yet, because I am unable to find a salon that would be willing to cut my hair and blend it in with that of the hair system. Could you tell me the name of that hair salon, please?
Amazing look. Can you please please tell Mr what cut you choose as I like this exact look. And when I choose a cut selection. It's asking me front top crown and all those sizes. How do you get these ? As I just have a template I made and thats it. Please help.
Hi Aby - Michael asked for haircut LD0049 www.lordhair.com/custom-options/hair-cut-in.html. We cut the hair to the lengths you see listed on our haircut page. It seems you could also be talking about measurements for a full cap hair system. If so, then this page www.lordhair.com/custom-options/base-size.html could be of use to you but please feel free to reach out to us for any further help.
I have placed order on Feb 1st . Since last week I have been trying to reach you through their whatsapp phone number , email and chat and no reply at all. Hope this a legit company and not a scam marketing paid videos. How long does it take to get your pc to usa?
Sorry that you haven't been able to get hold of us but there is actually always someone available to respond to you and others regardless of the time. Our apologies but in answer to your question, shipping takes about one week.
Hi German - Michael chose LD0049. You can see more details in the video description or by checking out the product page: www.lordhair.com/s1-v-stock-super-thin-skin-mens-hair-pieces.html.
Hi Michael, how's the 0.08mm so far? Do you notice any problem after 2 to 3 months of use? Are you still using the TDI bond in front and tapes on side and back? Thanks
Hey there! The 0.08 is definitely more durable that’s for sure. I wore it easily 2 months and could have gone longer. It doesn’t shed and the hair still felt good. I probably wouldn’t go past 2 for myself but with care it could probably last 3. It’s easy to clean and trim the front hairline as needed.
Hi Michael, your system looks good on you. I am thinking of getting a 0.04-0.05 mm poly skin unit. Is it advisable to use tape all around or it is better to use glue for a secure fit? I never use poly unit before I am just afraid I will easily tear the unit apart. Do you feel hot in the current weather using a poly unit? How often do you do a clean up service? Thanks
Hi G Lin - Did you get your system? I use tape all around the edges and glue in the front. I have never done glue all around the perimeter mainly because I’m worried with application... meaning with tape I can spray it with alcohol and I still have some adjust time if I need to shift the unit around. It’s just personal preference I think.
@@michaelmcfarland7705 Hi Michael, thx for the reply. I am now using a hybrid model french lace in front hairline and poly at side and back. I use tape plus glue in front and glue in the back. I never use poly b4 and I notice the poly clean up is really easy. I will try a full poly system next time.
Personally, I think it looks "good" but it could look great. Needs to be less dense and lighter. Color is too uniform for someone your age, so it looks dyed (i.e., not a teenager anymore). Let your own hair go back to natural even if it is getting some gray. Add the appropriate amount of synthetic gray, or whatever is in your natural hair, to a new unit and you'll be amazed at how good you will look.
Our plastic molds do not come like that. This was cut to look like it does here. We offer a customized mold for an additional $10: www.lordhair.com/custom-haircut-mold-template-hair-system.html.
I really like ultra thin skin units because they're very comfortable and have the most realistic hairlines, but the stock units that I get from various shops don't seem to part very well on the side (even though they're advertised as "freestyle"). The hair won't part in exactly the right place, the part ends up looking more defined and sharp than I'd prefer, and the back end of it goes up onto the top of my head, which looks odd. Is this just an issue with the stock units? Would a custom unit not have this problem? I've heard mixed reviews about getting permanent parts and crown whorls.
Our ultra-thin skin hair systems certainly have very realistic hairlines but you are welcome to discuss your part concerns with a member of our team if you haven't already and even if you are not a customer. You can email us at support@lordhair.com.
Hi Siva - I’ve worn (2) different units from LordHair. I started with the S22 and now for the video I did the S1-V. The S22 (for me) easily lasted 2 months and maybe would have gone longer but it was shedding quite a bit so I just changed it out. I haven’t been wearing the S1-V that long yet (1 month in and there is -0- shedding at all) in addition, the base feels more durable. I’m really liking it.
Hi Abhishek - French lace would be better because of its woven nature. That means your scalp will be able to "breathe" more. Please let us know if we can help you further - our customer service team (support@lordhair.com) will be happy to help!
I really liked the 0.03 poly - it was light and has tiny tiny TINY micro holes maybe just from the way the hair is placed in it? It felt good on my head and whenever I took it off my scalp appeared normal / not oily / just needed a nice washing
I get the thinnest possible ultra thin skin units, NO HOLES poked in them, and they're so thin that heat pretty much just transfers right through. I don't feel hot in them.
@Juntao-yv5nb you have to be a little careful with them. For example; once you've glued it all the way down, you don't want to just pull it back up unless you carefully loosen the adhesive with a solvent, and even then I prefer to wait until it naturally weakens after a few days before pulling it up. I have torn them before (although I think those might have been an even thinner variety that's not as common now), and I used to use a repair kit to patch them back together. In an emergency, you can actually just glue the torn edges down onto your scalp one at a time to close up the tear, and nobody will notice until the adhesive weakens after a few days and they separate. I wouldn't say they typically have a problem with losing their shape, except that if you don't spread them out all the way when you put them on, you can get a wrinkle, that could be visible in some cases, you can sometimes get a bubble if you trap air under them, they can be a bit amorphous when you're putting them on (especially the ones with the thinnest bases) so you really have to make sure you center them and spread them all the way out (I drag them up from the front and only glue the front portion first, then glue the back portion), but you shouldn't pull them super tight or they'll continue to pull on your scalp, which is uncomfortable and will eventually pull itself out of place. If you apply it properly, though, you can't even feel it on your head.
what is the hair cut style code on lord hair i like this style so i need to chose from lord hair hair cut and style list and what is the thickness of the pu base

Michael McFarland . Thank for your Re-ply Can you help... I am first time would like to wear hair system. But don’t where to begin , get little lost here.. like how to Measure or create base templates how to order ...etc Would you please give me more information .. step by step.. thanks so much for your help... Tommytran777@gmail.com
Tommy T I’ve only had the S1-V on my head for a lit a month now. With that being said I’m very impressed - the base still is in good shape, the unit itself has almost had -0- shedding, the hairline edge is still in good shape too. I’m going to guess 2-3 months (hopefully). I’ve worn the S22 and can get 1.5 to 2 months (maybe) out its that one.
Sorry but there's no one answer for this as there are so many different factors are at work. Aside from how the wearer treats/handles his hair system, you would need to consider factors like the type of base material or how the hair is ventilated (attached) to the base. Double knots, for example, are more secure and will result in less shedding than the V-loops of this hair system.
Hi D B - it depends how you define long-time use. Lots of wearers would take their hair systems off after a week and clean it as well as their scalp. You shouldn't find any issues within a week.
Hi Wade - it may depend on the base material. We'd certainly say that tape is easier to remove than glue from lace bases. And it would depend on how thin the poly is to make a direct comparison with lace. You need to be very careful with 0.03mm poly when you're handing it, for example, but then the thicker the poly, the harder it is to tear.
What I would like to do when I get my system is apply it for the day but remove it at night and for showering. I don't want to wear it 24hrs a day...What do you think about that? Plus is your system human hair or synthetic?
Hi Ron - yes, that's possible and you will certainly protect the hair by not sleeping in it. It seems like you'd probably want to consider some daily wear tape. And we use human hair. The gray hair we use is synthetic although gray human hair is a possibility for custom-made orders.
Hi, I cant find my size online and cant afford more than 200, my question is, can you cut super thin skin hair system to make it a bit smaller, and why all a sudden a regular thin skin so hard to find?? Thanks
Hi there - yes, you can cut the base down or we can do it for you as part of our base-cutting service. We have a good selection of thin skin hair systems in different hair colours - the first three hair systems on this page, for example: www.lordhair.com/mens-hair-systems/stock-hair-pieces.html. Hi Kirby - Michael selected LD0049 and you can see the other hairstyles we do here: www.lordhair.com/custom-options/hair-cut-in.html. We can also do other styles if you have something else in mind.
Hi Kirby - As Lordhair said I did #49 but I also sent in some photo ideas that I liked. I think they did a combo of the pics I shared and the selected cut.
Hey! Sorry, but we don't have any stores in India at the moment. All you can do for now is order online but remember that we offer a base cutting and haircut service so you don't have to rely on salons.
It looks really good. I noticed a comment about the color being too dark, however from what I can see watching the video it matches your biological hair on the sides of your head. So I respectfully disagree with that. Also noticed a comment about it being too high a density. But you just received this one and applied it for the first time in this video, I gather? Therefore it will shed some, day by day. Personally I didnt think it was too dense particularly since it's such a short layered cut. If it was long it probably would look a wee bit too thick. Not sure if you've ever tried a daily wear tape? Supertape makes strips that are for daily use, and when you lift the system off at night, or whenever you want to remove it, the tape stays on the hair system, and is ready for wearing the next morning. This tape has a unique ability to stay tacky enough to last on your system for the same time a more permanent tape would, 3 to 4 weeks. It's much easier on your hair system as you dont sleep in it and wear it for many less hours, therefore saving even more money. Also you can shower your scalp every night if you wish. There will be some stickiness on your scalp where the tape was, but it comes off easy with either your c 22 or you can even put Dawn detg and baking soda combo. on your scalp b4 hitting the shower. Just slightly scrub your head and it's all sticky free. Next morning just put your system on just like you would a ball cap. You get used to how to.position it since you are doing it daily. It becomes second nature.
@@Lordhair by the way, I wish you guys would get more colors in for the older grey headed men lol. Everytime I look at a stock piece and I check for any one of the few Grays I know would work for me, its unavailable. I would have already bought a few from you.
Sorry about that, Mike. We do have grey hair options and that includes colors with up to 50% gray but it seems we don't have the higher percentage options you're after in the models you prefer. There's always the custom-made option but hopefully, we'll have more options as part of our stock range for you to choose from soon.
Unfortunately, it's going to take around that long if you want a custom hair system, Danny but you wouldn't have to wait much longer than a week if you order one of our stock units and choose our haircut service. Here's some information about the service from our website: www.lordhair.com/custom-options/hair-cut-in.html.
I’ve yet to have to do that with the 0.08
@@michaelmcfarland638 how long does the S1v .8 unit last for you? Thanks
awesome job Michael. great self application. do keep us updated on this system. any shedding yet? if you sweat will dirt show easily? how difficult is the maintenance.. I'm thinking of getting this system after wearing French LAce for 2 years. yours looks extremely good!!
I just started wearing a lace piece. Have used ghost bond and let’s just say. Mess beyond mess.
@@allanpa agreed! If you do lace for for the tape only - if you get one with poly sides even better and so much easier to work with in my opinion
Hi allanpa
Maintenance for me is pretty easy and straight forward. I’ll remove the whole thing probably every 2 weeks and redo the perimeter. I’ll clean up the front about every week. I use adhesive remove and alcohol. Take your time with polly it’s not as forgiving as the lace. I’ve not had diet or swear bother the system much.
They look good. What is the monthly cost?
No gaps between the pieces of tape…do you have any issues with water (from showering) & sweat having no place to drain out?
Great video. What haircut did you pick for the pre-cut? I want mine just like that.
Hi German - Michael chose LD0049. You can see more details in the video description or by checking out the product page: www.lordhair.com/s1-v-stock-super-thin-skin-mens-hair-pieces.html.
Very informative and useful. Thanks

@@dextordreky8758 hey there! Hope you love your new hair as much as I do!
Thanks
Hi G Lin -
Did you get your system?
Is that plastic thing the template the factory uses on their stock pieces, or is that based on a custom template you sent them?
Looking awesome.. Watz the life of this system
Hi Siva -
I’ve worn (2) different units from LordHair.
Hallo, did you put the glue directly to the base in the front?
Hi Federico - yes, that's what Michael did.
Any link for getting that dobber bottle of glue ? Thanks
I think he said he got it from Hair Direct.
I wanted to know how many days you take off the piece for maintenance ?
Looks really great on you.
Thanks Ian!
Question for Lord Hair - Which type of base is suitable for Indian Humid weather. French Lace or S1-V?
Hi Abhishek - French lace would be better because of its woven nature. That means your scalp will be able to "breathe" more. Please let us know if we can help you further - our customer service team (support@lordhair.com) will be happy to help!
How does this super thin skin handle breathability? Does it get hot under there on the scalp after awhile of wearing especially in humid day?
I really liked the 0.03 poly - it was light and has tiny tiny TINY micro holes maybe just from the way the hair is placed in it? It felt good on my head and whenever I took it off my scalp appeared normal / not oily / just needed a nice washing
I get the thinnest possible ultra thin skin units, NO HOLES poked in them, and they're so thin that heat pretty much just transfers right through. I don't feel hot in them.
@@AJ-on-youtube Because it's so thin does it easily break or torn easily? Does it get out of shape?
I will disclose that I've never ordered from Lordhair (YET), but a lot of these shops are selling the same product.

Michael McFarland .. would you tell me what’s life on your hair system ( S1 V) last??
Thanks

I’ve only had the S1-V on my head for a lit a month now.
What cut is that? I wanna get the exact same one.
Hi Manuel - it's LD0049. For more info about the hair system, check out the video description.
How long does the hair starts to fall off from the system
Sorry but there's no one answer for this as there are so many different factors are at work. Aside from how the wearer treats/handles his hair system, you would need to consider factors like the type of base material or how the hair is ventilated (attached) to the base. Double knots, for example, are more secure and will result in less shedding than the V-loops of this hair system.
Real talk is it itchy with long time use?
Hi D B - it depends how you define long-time use. Lots of wearers would take their hair systems off after a week and clean it as well as their scalp. You shouldn't find any issues within a week.
Is the tape hard to remove? Have read the poly is easier to tear than the lace.
Take your time - use adhesive remover or I use alcohol too. As they said the 0.03 is easy to tear and I’ve totally done that before.
Wonder if anyone just put tape all around that way no worries about the glue turning white
Looks really good man. How often do you wash your hair?
Maybe once a week? I get it wet all the time in the shower.
Hi, I cant find my size online and cant afford more than 200, my question is, can you cut super thin skin hair system to make it a bit smaller, and why all a sudden a regular thin skin so hard to find?? Thanks

Some very useful tips for people there, Mike - thanks very much for sharing!
@@Lordhair by the way, I wish you guys would get more colors in for the older grey headed men lol. Everytime I look at a stock piece and I check for any one of the few Grays I know would work for me, its unavailable. I would have already bought a few from you.
