Frankie is wearing the Lordhair Neo hair replacement system. Its freestyle hair direction allows him to style his hair system as he wishes. The base of our Neo hair system combines a French lace top and front with a thin skin perimeter. It is a very natural and lightweight hair system. I can’t believe I watched this whole video . I’m a woman with no use for a unit but you did a great job making the video fun to watch
As an ex-hairdresser I can tell even the good hair pieces from a mile away. This hands down is so good, it fooled me. Amazing. I wanted a system when I was younger, but now at the ripe old age of 58, I decided to just shave it once a week. I no longer have the patience or time to deal with the system. If I was going to do it, I'd find you to train me.
I have a question for you: I shave my head, with clippers, every 4-5 days. The clippers I use are like 80$.
Will a 250-300$ pair of clippers save me time?
@@mycommentpwnz Not really. For $80 they should be pretty good. I find the Remington Shortcut Pro does the job very fast and they are not professional clippers. If you want something that gets closer, the Whal Balding clippers are good, but I like the Remington because of it's size, it makes it very easy.

well I bought a frontal 2 months ago and only were it twice and it litterly fell apart. I said okay, maybe i did something wrong, what I don't know. However, I ordered another, hasen't arrived yet but I will see how this one works. They should refund for the first one I think. @@Lordhair One should realize it take several weeks to receive the unit so have patience.
Someone commented that the hairline was too low on your forehead. I disagree with the hairline being to low. It looks 100% perfectly, biologically natural. That's a great hair system. The hairline was tied and colored perfectly up front.

No with this application. His looks as real as it gets . In my opinion
It looks fine on him. Sometimes if you're older or your surrounding hair is thinner then you might want it to be higher (or if your head is shaped differently), but this looks fine where it is. Some people get really carried away with the idea of "higher hairlines look more natural". Jason Alexander's hairpiece is a good example of a hairline that's too high (not the one George wore one time on Seinfeld, I mean the one the actor started wearing in real life a few years back). They talked him into a hairpiece that looks like a weird receding hairline, which kind of defeats the purpose of wearing a hairpiece. They said it would look more natural that way.
I will say that lower hairlines can sometimes be uncomfortable if they overlap the muscular, moving parts where the forehead meets the face, and if your hairline is just WAY too low or uses an unnatural contour then it does look weird.
But this is not an example of that.
yeah, the hairline itself looks amazing, but i agree, i think it is a tiny bit too low. the space between his hairline and his eyebrows looks like about an inch and a half...which is unusually low. thats the ONLY thing that might make me look twice at his hairline, cuz the hairline on the piece looks great

Before apply the Glue you can spray Aftershave on the skin as this will prevent any bad odours if you intend to wear the system for a 2 or 4 weeks

😂😂 I watched this whole video and I’m a bloke with a full head of hair, that hair piece looks exactly like my own hair, complete with the little thin bit in the front. I have a mate who wears a wig and he thinks no one knows but it looks like an acrylic mat. This one in the video is in another class.

No, it's not. PhantomPheonix1 must have been referring to our SuperSkin-F frontal hair system but this is a regular-sized hair system (8" x 10").

Have you ever thought about of getting a hair transplant just for the hairline, to get a natural perfect hairline and behind that to wear the system?
Im currently thinking of this since the one downsside if hairsystem is that the hairline doesnt look perfect and this way i could get the benefit from both.
@@mauelmuller5960 I have gotten one before getting into hair systems. This was back in 2013 and trust me surgeons able to give you a perfect hairline back then didn’t exist in Canada. Even now, it’s not perfect. You’d have to travel to Spain or Eastern Europe. On top of it, the best surgeons are overbooked, so it’s a 2-3 year waiting list just for a consultation appointment. Your idea is good though. Just harder to apply than it might seem.
@@godbrother22 im from europe btw, and id say surgery can gove you a perfect hairline, even in the us there are some amazing surgeons, whats important is to pick a good surgeon and not go to turkey. There also are plenty of good one in the us but they are bit expensive but who cares you just need like max 2000 of em for the hairline.

Other companies may differ but our #1B is an off-black color so that might explain the lighter color you see here.

I'm going the derma roller and minoxidil route right now. I don't have extreme hair loss. I'm glad of this 'cause I don't think Hair system route would work for me simply due to the insane amount of sweating my head does all day while working. I've ALWAYS been a sweater.

Hi Will - glad you liked Frankie's video! We can answer your last question. We can add highlights for custom orders but they're not an option for our stock hair systems. We don't actually recommend dyeing the hair yourself as it can harm the hair but we realize coloring the hair is something people like to do.

I looked up this sytem and it said medium density, I like it and I was going to order a medium light density.

Idea: use a MIST spray bottle and mist rubbing alcohol on scalp and the apply unit. Give a longer adjustment period. The alcohol then dries and it gives full adhesion in a minute or less.

The cost per year (of the hair systems) will depend on the type of hair system and how long you can make your hair systems last but based on a hair system like the one in this video, you may wear four hair systems a year.
That's a great hairpiece and a very good video. I have been wearing hairpieces for 50+ years and tried Lordhair but after a long delay was told they could not source grey hair. Grey is essential for me so I'm stuck, it's getting very hard to find a company that can do grey/white hair any more.

I have a question. My scalp ranges from dry to oily and sometimes it causes scalp acne. Is there any way to prevent that from happening under the unit?
If I want to make it last longer should I take it off every few days to clean the bottom and reattach the glue and clean my scalp if I want it to last longer?
How do you handle your back side while installing and also , exactly what part no and how much you paid for this unit ?
When self applying the system, how to prepare the area where it's supposed to sit on the head? Do you order the smallest size that would cover your hair loss area and then shave your head accordingly? Is there a tutorial on how to do this? Or is custom made a lot more recommended when you not match like 90% the base of a non customized system?
Thanks for your questions - hopefully we can help. You should work out the size of your bald area before thinking about the base size. Creating a template www.lordhair.com/how-to-order/send-in-templates-hair-samples/make-template.html and th-cam.com/video/nY_zQWzAQp8/w-d-xo.html of this area would help you when it comes to shaving your scalp and this template should match the base size of your hair system. If our stock base size is too big then you can always cut it down (you might be restricted by the base design, however) or we can do it for you for an additional charge.
You should chat with customer service to decide whether a custom-made hair system is best for you as it will depend on the area of your hair loss and the type of hair system you are interested in.
Should I follow the contour instead of making it wavey when I cut the front since I use tape only? Or if I do the wavey technique with tape is it going to show or hair get stuck on the little exposed areas of tape I'm not sure, and kinda new to all this just got my second system, my first was french from ebay and it was OK but I hope my new unit is better once I get it here, thanks
We'd recommend you follow the contour because you also run the risk of cutting the hair or into the graduated front hairline. We can actually customize hair systems with a 'wavey' or 'scalloped' front but it's only necessary for less natural base materials.
Fold the extendabond and cut lengthwise. Easier and consistent width when taping. One strip with do the circumference

Glad you like the video, Dean! In response to your question, there's no fixed answer but it'll usually be time for a new hair system when the hair color has faded too much or when the hair has shed too much.
Because of you, I actually bought the neo system. I've never had a hair replacement system before, but I took a chance on it. So far, I'm loving it, but there's a lot to get used to. It's far from perfect as a beginner, but I believe in time I will get the hang of it. One question I have.. When you're gluing the lace in the front down, how does it not stick to the bandana? I'm afraid of I do that it will stick to the cloth and then I'll ruin the lace 😂
hey how is going did you get used to it? Can you take shower daily? I am doing active sport almost on a daily base. Do you think it is possible with the system?
@@OUCGN hey. I'll be honest, some days it's great and some days it's annoying.. Probably like real hair, you can just have bad hair days. I shower with mine on, just not for 24 hours after I apply tape. Sometimes the glue doesn't stay in the front, but it's not hard add more. I suggest having a headband that's not fuzzy or anything.. Like a sports one.. That will help keep the lace front down when you're working out, and keep some sweat away from it. It's also good to have the headband for after you glue the front lace down, I usually put the glue on, let it get tacky, put the lace down, and then put the headband on for like 20 minutes just to make sure there is good contact and it will stick well.
You do get used to the process. It's not too bad. Some days you'll not want to deal with it, but if you like the way it looks most days, you just put up with it 😜
@@OUCGN also in pretty sure lordhair has some systems that are meant more for active people.. You may be able to find one that's bet suited for working out, but this one has been doing well for me

did you give them your measurements before they send the unit? it seems like the unit fits you perfectly.
Frankie didn't as this is just a stock hair system that we didn't cut down. That said, you should, of course, first measure the area of your hair loss to make sure that our hair systems will not be too small. Our default stock base size is 8" x 10" but a few models - like Frankie's are available in smaller sizes.
However, you would need to share your measurements with us for a custom-made hair system or you could send in a template or an old hair system.

This is actually an uncut hair system as Frankie cut and styled it himself.

Glad you like the look of Frankie's hair system, Jason! Our haircut service costs $20. How long you keep it on depends on the wearer/the tape or glue they use but in theory, a hair system could remain in place for weeks at a time.

Yes, but you should discuss it with your stylist. We could cut the hair for you but you could also just go to the hairdresser's and they could cut the rest of your hair at the same time.
Im so conflicted. Mt twin bother and i got our first unit in 1991. Our first unit came with clips. We used those for about a year. Shortly after, our hair at that point became then so we stopped. From that point after we were using tape 100% of the time. Nothing else. Our units were synthetic. Keeping in mind we were completely careful making sure they look good, no one knew except those who knew us before we had the units. We were essentially careful to the hairline. You mention the units last 3-4 months. With us being so careful our units lasted at least a year without detection. So my question is did they last longer because they were synthetic? We stopped wearing units in 2010 due to my brothers health issue. He coukdnt keep up so he stopped. I followed. We are back to looking into purchasing and wearing sgain. So again can you let me know about the question above? Thanks

In answer to your questions, then hair systems have different lifespans. Frankie's lasts around 3-4 months as you say but hair systems with other base designs will last longer. Without knowing about the base design of your old hair systems, it's difficult to say why yours lasted that long but it won't have been simply because of the synthetic hair. Clips increase the lifespan but you say you switched to tape.

How much different is 1a color may I ask? It's hard to tell from the photo example on the web site. It looks to be slightly lighter than 1b? Maybe even ashy in color? Please advise as I'd like to look into the Neo option. Thanks.
Hi Ron - 1A is actually darker than 1B. It's more of a black color than 1B is. It might be worth you emailing support@lordhair.com as they can send you some more photos of our hair colors.

Excellent job. The only problem is when you order from lordhair the knots do not come bleached like your system. They just don’t ever period.
Hi - we don't know your hair color (not all hair colors can have bleached knots) or the models you usually buy (some only have bleached knots on certain parts) but we do bleach our knots. Please let customer service know and share photos with them if you haven't already as we would like to help you with any issue.
@@Lordhair just because someone throws some bleach on them does not mean they are properly and undetectable bleached knots. I have no doubt you bleach them but whatever process you are using clearly does not work and I don’t think anyone who has ever bought a stock hair system in anything darker than light brown from you would disagree.

How does the base fit your template so perfectly? Did you cut it beforehand or is it a custom fit? I'm wondering if and how I'm supposed to cut down the base of a stock Neo
Frankie doesn't need to cut his hair systems down to size but our Neo model is actually available in a few different sizes. Please type 'Neo' in the search bar on our site as that will be the easiest way to see the different base sizes we have.
Is there a hair system that attaches to the top of your head without glue? I've done multiple hair transplants and have decent coverage on top but only looks decent when the hair is short. Is there a system that attaches to hair on top like velcro or something?
Clip-on hair systems require no tape or glue and simply clip onto your existing hair. We can actually sew clips to virtually any base for an additional $10.
