Hi John. One guy i rode behind ( supposed to know all there was to know ) was progressively following some traffic and assessing HIS limit point when a "kit car" on the road ahead (lost within the hidden dip of his "dead ground" )"suddenly braked", apparently due to a missed exit. The incident nearly caused a nasty rear end collision. Embarrassed ... he later asked for my point of view ! I just said, "was it your furthest "uninterrupted" view of the road "surface" ? He nodded and took it on board...
That's exactly the concept Graham, as you say a simple concept which also works at junctions, in heavy rain, mist fog etc etc. In fact in L test training we are not really supposed to refer to the vanishing point or limit point, like countersteer it was seen as being too 'advanced'. Which is crazy but there you go.
Yes unfortunately the limit point is not visible over blind crests Kyle. But your limiting factor now with regards to speed is being able to stop within the distance you can see to be clear. 👍 Cheers John Mac 😉
Good one John - been doing it for years but good to see it on a vid.
Finally subscribed, watched and liked all of your clips >>>
so what vids are you making during the next lockdown john ?

Pre TH-cam days, the more Rd you see, the quicker you can go, the less Rd you see, the slower you should go, simples!

Thanks for the video John it was interesting 👍🏼
Last Right hander the Limit Point seemed to disappear as the road dropped off to the Right!
