This is a great video showcasing that even if a funnel isn’t completely visible, it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Many people use visuals as their indicator to take shelter. Unfortunately, tornadoes like these can take those people off guard as they’re still extremely powerful, despite having very little visible funnel.
Even if a funnel is visible, take it from a Alabama resident like myself, "find shelter immediately" means go to the nearest window/stand on your porch to watch
Its very common for people witnessing a tornado to say things that, afterward doesnt seem to make sense. Its important to understand they are under intense adrenaline.
Stay Primal: I was born and raised in the Deep South, and I've seen a few tornadoes. I wasn't excited to see the phenomenon, I was scared for the people in its direct path!
That’s the scary part..a lot of the Alabama tornadoes are surrounded by rain and look almost invisible. not only that but most of the towns are covered with trees. Very dangerous combination.
In Alabama, you don't SEE them coming normally. Also, a lot of Alabama's tornadoes are late evening after dark. The trees and hills prevent folks from seeing the tornadoes as does the rain.

Especially when the tornado is "rain wrapped"!!! YOU can't see it!!!!

There’s always a Walmart clip, where there’s a group of people, prayers for Selma
I can only hear the late great Bill Paxton saying DEBRIS???
The best tornado footage is always from a Walmart 😂
Man? They definitely have a prayer from me. That’s horrible. 💔
Possible, hell! There was rotation, and debris was being picked up. That's a tornado, in a nutshell.
This tornado structure reminds me of the 1998 Nashville tornado
All I know is you need to look up in there
I guess the Walmart crowd doesn't really take tornadoes seriously. No surprise.
I don't think that's possible tornado
POSSIBLE? geeez
Here comes a Buick!
It's not the end yet
He's excited about the debris getting tossed into the air while not realizing it could be from someone's home the tornado has destroyed! 😔

Oh my
“Possible tornado” lol
WHERES THE REST OF THE DAMN VIDEO???
Who seen the leprechaun, say yeah!
It could just be a crackhead who got ahold of the wrong stuff
He was stuffing his pockets at walmart while everyone was distracted
Wait where’s the tornado? If that’s right this isn’t the type of tornados from the Midwest Oklahoma area

I heard the tornado was screaming out racist stuff while carrying an AR-15 allegedly
"Chris' internet history would put him on a list", said the tornado while flinging copies of it for miles.
@ chris lesley:
It's not a laughing matter. People lost life and property during this storm!
Thankfully that's a pretty weak one.
No tf it wasn't, it lofted debrees 20 thousand feet in the air and had one of the most impressive velocity signatures I have ever seen
I live in Selma the downtown area is completely destroyed sadly
Nope
the only consolation I have is that I haven't heard of anyone killed by it
that could change too
@@karlitatum7245 dammit! I'm so sorry
@@Bluebelle51 Not in Selma, but in Autauga Co, at least 7 people have been confirmed dead.
