That cabin is amazing, really good value considering what you paid given its a suite. The food looked really good too - sometimes I prefer a nice light meal that fills you up rather then having so much choice it's overwhelming. I like how you get introduced to all the crew! I might have to consider this for a future holiday.

Thanks Angela! We didn't see all the hen parties etc after we got of the plane so not sure where they were all partying! Budapest was fabulous we would love to go back. We were so glad we chose the French balcony suite as it was perfect, couldn't fault it!

I’m very excited to see your vlogs of this series . My husband and I have never been on a river cruise but would love to try one .I’m assuming there wasn’t much of a language barrier at your hotel in Budapest . We’ve been on a cruise with celebrity out of Dublin before with no problem of course
That was a good vlog, your cabin is huge. I've stayed at the Clayton before when we had early flight. Our cabin in Oct on that boat is lower deck, will see feet on quay sides and water swishing past window lol. So we will be sleeping under water lol.

We should have done our first river cruise last October with APT on your next door neighbour the TMV Vega. We ended up doing a Christmas cruise with TUI on the Skyla and loved it.
This looks fab, always fancied a River cruise. my partner not so keen he prefers sea cruising. I'm not the biggest fan of flying thats my issue. I may get on one at some point. Always nice to have somewhere to keep your diamonds. 😂

Don’t believe what other bloggers might tell you, you can definitely just purchase the cruise, search cruising Canucks on TH-cam they’ve got a video all about it 😊
Not sure what your point is about paperwork or your frustration. Before flying to Barcelona for our MSC Med cruise in March, we had to fill out a medical form for Spain to apply for a Spanish equivalent to our Canadian government Covid vaccination passport even though Spain did not require a Covid test to enter the country. Then arriving at Barcelona Airport, we had to take a PCR test for the cruise - hoping it would be negative so we could board the ship the next day. The next day at the cruise terminal, even though we showed all our paperwork including Covid medical travel insurance and the negative test PCR result, we then had to have an Antigen test and await hopefully another negative result. Thankfully it was so we got to go on our cruise. Therefore, we flew with uncertainty. Had any of the results been positive, even though we flew all the way from Canada, we would have been refused boarding. Believe me it is easier for Europeans because we have to time the test result with the boarding time and that is tricky when you can't possibly arrive the same day from North America.
So many hoops to jump through, particularly if you are travelling from a far and over time. For this trip the point was if we had had to show our negative tests at the airport we wouldn't of been able to get on the plane. Hoping in time testing for cruising will be a thing in the past.......but don't think it will be for a long time!

Whilst our cruise lines are so completely different ( I'm I Silversea / regent.cruser I love you both so much ..your energy,your out look to different lines & experience always makes for a good video experience .. I wish I had your vest for all things cruising...I started cruising in 1989 royal Caribbean ( after watching bbc holiday program) wow it was so out there ..had almost 35 plus with them and it was fabulous ..done p& o ,Cunard Norwegian,regent.. but fell in love with Silversea since our first cruise with them 2005 and never looked back . 45 plus cruses to date .. Luv you guys happy cruising ( please try a luxury line sometime) ...🚢👔🍾

Just found your channel because I've been looking at Tui river cruises 😆. My problem is that I'm a solo traveler, so will need a far cheaper cabin. But this boat looks fabulous, and I like you two. I'll be following your trip 👍
I was a solo traveller on the Tui Maya a few weeks ago, and had a single cabin. It was a little more basic than this cabin, but was perfect for me. The portholes didn't open, but I had air con. It cost me £1954. I'm about to check the Isla for next year.

River cruising is quite physical, this ship didn't have a lift. The Avalon river cruise ship we cruised on had a lift but still to get off often there were ships to walk through. Getting ready for our Rhine cruise with TU I in August...in addition to being fully vaccinated, did you have to take a Covid Test up to test 48 hours before boarding and show the results with your vaccination certificate?

I'm with Paul, just imagine getting on the river ship and finding you didn't have your documents, what would they have done about getting you home. Documentation should have been checked before boarding in my opinion.
I was on AMA waterways last week and YES there were what we call "sheers" (slightly opaque white) curtains as well as proper blackout curtains. I think this may be a lower quality line.
We didn't ask as do not have any ssue, however I guess you would need to discuss this with the hotel manager. The staff were very helpful so presume they would accommodate.

We had no problems, however, you would think that people would get it correct......but sadly that's not always the case!
Thx for this, so are the shore excursions included like they are on so many other lines.

Guys we were in Budapest over the weekend and the weather was hot 25 degrees . Saw lots of viking and tui skyla but not yr ship

No there is not. We talk about accessibility in our other video, river cruise ships don't seem to cater for passengers with accessible needs.

Do TUI account for disabled passengers on river cruises if so how would they have boarded bearing in mind the passengers had to climb steps to get over a pre moored river cruiser to be able to board the TUI SHIP
River cruising in general is not accessible friendly due to that and not having any lifts on board either.
