Pretty sure Perofeta would have priority over Plummer, given he's already in the main squad, and unlikely to play Fullback. Cane also doesnt have the same impact off the bench, he's at his best when starting.

It certainly would be a shock to Andy Farrell and make him have to deal with some real adjustments. Ruben Love as the 23 to complete the impact crew which stacks up as a very dominant force. @TheKiwiLads then have MacKenzie and Jordie compete for fullback? Reiko on the wing? And I think 4 years as an 8 plus World Player of the Year is enough time to bed into a position...

@TheKiwiLads Dalton Papalii, or with more tests under his belt, Lakai. Hear me out: in terms of roles, a 7 or 8 are very similar in terms of getting to the breakdown. The 8s role has also been to run from the scrum base or linking out wide, both of which suit Ardie better. He's a natural ball carrier. If you look at our best backrow, imho McCaw, Kaino and Read, who was the most natural ball carrier? Read by a country mile. Even McCaw stated a 7s role had changed. Sititi is playing really well at 6, both in defense and offense. My argument is: put either the guy who has been the 7 understudy for 30 tests or Supers in-form 7, eventually.
