I've been riding and building banshees for more years than i want to admit and the one thing i stick to now is don't overbuild the motor. I have one build stictly for drags and the rest i build mild 55-60hp motors mainly low end power for trails and fun. You start going over that unless you mainly drag and they're no fun. It's like hanging on for dear life everywhere dealing with shoulder pain for 3 days. Way too violent for trails and fun. But in my opinion nothing beats or comes close to sounding like a well built banshee. A few hundred in personalizing and needed accessories and you're in for a good time. Oh. Yes i would like to see a build series.
Nice banshee I have same one mine is a 2000...stock bore & stroke, V Force reeds, carb work, and Toomey pipes...don't get much time to ride, but as long as I have it I'm happy...

Always like your channel. But have to say totally digging all the yammy content man. I had a 02 raptor, second year they came out. Sold it to my best friend. And he still has it. Love the banshee build idea. I powder coated everything on my friends banshee build. I’m currently building a 09 ktm 525 XC. And the YXZ is awesome 👏🏻, so hard to find and good vids. I’m a waiting to hear from one of our local dealers about the 2022 YXZ. Keep up the great 👍🏻 content.
I’m not sure. It was on the Atv when I got it. I just now searched banshee handle bar clamp key switch and it looks like many companies make them. Found it on eBay.
@@WvTrailN I found it and ordered it. I believe Mod Quad makes it. I am currently rebuilding a banshee. powder coat the whole works and I wanted aftermarket bars but id like to have a key and that looks OEM but its not. Thats why I asked. Thanks again for the reply

I’d probably leave motor as is since it runs good. (Don’t fix if ain’t broke) Kind of a bring it back project. Get it looking nice and clean.
