Had my op in Jan this year and still recovery. The pain is unbelievable!. I was hospitalized for 2 months. Most of the cancer was removed, but, still in my lymph nodes and blood vessels. I am on the road to recovery thanks to my brilliant surgeon...Check up in August. Still cannot walk far or stretch or carry heavy loads. It's gonna take a while. I'm just glad to be alive.
I had colorectal cancer and had an Iliostomy surgery and reverse Iliostomy surgery with no issues which sounds easy compared to some of the comments from my fellow cancer survivors on here. God bless you all and glad you made it
Your presentation although short sums up everything one needs to know about the procedure and the outcome. Your comments on screening should be taken very seriously especially if there is a family history. As a stage 3 colon cancer survivor I rate your video 10 out of 10. Well done Sir.
Just had the operation and although the prognosis is good, I'm laid up for at least two months, painful recovery and never thought I needed the screening Dr. Staley emphasizes. Please, if you haven't done so do yourself a major favor and get that the screening to prevent this horror show.
I'm a colon cancer survivor, lest been honest after survive colon cancer are life never never going to be the same always the digestive problems they going to be there
My mom just had a colon cancer surgery and she has been vomiting green bile is that a normal thing? I am scared, she barely eats, but she tried to stay hydrated.
My mom had a football sized colon tumor removed about 7 years ago. I'm glad to say that she's is cancer-free and that without the help of these doctors, I doubt she would have survived long. Now my question is: What can a post colon tumor surgery patient eat that are not liquid foods? I'd like to know in case any other of my loved ones will have colon surgery (knocks on wood) in the future. My mom was told that she should keep consuming liquid diet. Throughout her post surgery years, she had to keep consuming just soup with no meat or veggies in them (basically she just kept drinking soup). She had struggled with hunger since she wasn't able to eat solid foods for a very long time. I felt bad for her.
I was diagnosed with colon cancer, cancer had spread to my kidneys. I refused treatment and tried a natural cure instead. Now 21 months later I'm cancer-free [Passed two medical exams] and I'm healthy as a horse. Some natural cures do work but it's a gamble. You need to consider what's best for you. I respect doctors but unfortunately, they are still not that good at "healing" cancer. Peace.
@@ZeroGravity60 what natural cure did you use? Curious to know. Chemo does not seem healthy, although oncologists recommend it is the best steps for cure. Thank you!
@@ZeroGravity60 can you please share what you did? My husband has colon cancer and is scheduled to have his tumor removed in a little over a week. He stopped eating anything with sugar, organic fruits and veggies, nuts, legumes, and no more meat.
@@ewermysunshine Hi :) So sorry to hear what you're up against. I have to say there was a series of mixups in my original diagnosis and lead to a misunderstanding in my claim for healing. I'm sorry for that. Bottom line, after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in Dec. 2018, it has now been confirmed I still have stage 4 cancer. Three years, no treatment, and I move and live as healthy as a horse. I've none of the regular symptoms & I've passed two given dates for my anticipated demise. While my situation seems to baffle my doctor who keeps in touch with me, I'm sorry, I've no explanation for my condition other than me surrendering my cancer to my higher power. I'm a firm believer that everything is written. What God want's God gets. I send this note to you and wish you well in navigating the storm. I will delete this whole thread after giving you a few days to read this comment. Sorry I couldn't help. Peace.

I was in the hospital for 4 days, went to my daughters for two weeks to recover. Had no issues, could walk up and down stairs. Feeling pretty good.
