    Never would have thought I'd be as interested in watching vids about culverts and drainage systems but something about your vids made me this way. Now whenever I see them I think about their practicality and if they're clogged

    The first culvert-the holes you were pointing out that are about 1 1/2 or 2 inches in diameter in a line were not for dynamite or blasting powder but to put wedges in to split the rock. A series of holes were drilled and wedges inserted then driven in turn back and forth to make cracks which broke the rock. That was how granite rocks were cut and shaped back when.

  • @JB-mk4ry
    @JB-mk4ry 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I do the same... No going in (abandoned) tunnels unless there's a breeze.
    If you get a hold of a Geiger counter you could measure what the granite is emitting, which would be cool.

    "they built them to last" so true. there are many buildings from like 1700s in my area that still stands today, strong af, no need for air conditioning because they actually take into account about the air circulation when they build it

    Nice video. I find your videos very relaxing. In the winter I like watching the snow removal videos in Canada. I like how they plow the snow into the area 2 car widths from the curb, then come in with a giant snow blower and shoot it into semi trucks and haul it away.

    Do you keep an actual log of where the pipes are you have inspected and their condition?
    Have noticed some piles are seriously in need of replacing.
    Am wondering if some of the logging companies have contacted you?
    They should. You could be an invaluable source of information to them in so far as helping them maintain their logging roads.
    Anyway. Am enjoying your videos. They are very good. Full of information at the same time the water running is very soothing.
    God bless. Keep up the good work.
