Hey so about the battery being dead. Chromebooks (unless they have been sitting in the box for months) have battery in them, but for safety you need to connect it to power for a second for it to turn on. So you didn’t need to wait that long.
Can you use an external CD? What is the best way to transfer photo's from your camera. The USB port doesn't seem to read the CD or the picture information from a memory card. Is there something I cand do or isn't this possible on a Chromebook?

If you buy a Chromebook that supports a mobile data connection, sure you can do that. Most devices don't though. You'll have to specifically look for Chromebooks that are LTE/5G ready.
Ive tried about 10 times and it keeps saying “ bad password” Ive changed my password 3 times , shut down this & wifi / restarted, nothing works !! Help please !!!!
@@truthhurtshuh5443 This is the same person but on my Chromebook you need to go somewhere else with better WiFi. I made a mistake by taking it back and getting a new one.
It is a linux based operating system. You can enable linux based apps on your device, but that is not recommended. Because it roots your device and you are highly likely to get attacked.

after you are connected to wifi , can you not go straight to browsing as a "guest" without signing into a google account ?

Hi Mate. It can, but with limited functionality. For example, some apps do not load, and the system is not built for being offline.
