Like Bricky said "He is someone so laughably petty, so incredibly bitter, that he goes full circle and becomes likeable. Why, because he is competent."
Perturabo was such a fool. His actions lead to his own misery and he chooses every single time to wallow in his bed of misery. He is in total denial that he is at fault for anything. Blames everyone else. He chooses again and again to do awful things to everyone around him just so he can have a few more excuses to prop up his own delusions. Misery loves company so he treats his own soldiers and people with nothing but contempt. He eventually becomes more machine than man. Deep down behind the veil of cold emotionless steel is a man raging with emotions, regret, anger, hatred for others but probably hatred for himself above all else. When confronted with the truth he just doubles down, pretends that killing his foster sister is a act of cold emotionless but in reality he's just petty and fuming with anger at hearing all the truths she spoke. He make me so sad bit o still love him
Me in a group of 3 people including myself where 1 of the team members straight up quit the whole course and the other showed up for 1 class in the entire semester, and never again... Having been given a report from the semester before, grading my teamworking skills as low, and then being put into a group like that... **I WONDER WHY THAT MIGHT BE**
And even further, he never complained because he saw what happened when you complained. Angron wants the Nails out? Nah, too much work. Magnus wants to use Wizards? Nah, you use them as basic soldiers. He saw what complaining gets and knew it was useless.
If only his adoptive pops expressed his love more, Peter thought his pops hated him, if only they sat down and talked, the galaxy would be very thankful if the Daemonculaba wasn't a thing
Perturabo is that one loner in school who is clearly miserable, always doing all the work on every project, and constantly gets made fun of. Then you try to get to know him and he cusses you out, and you find out that people let him do all the work because he gets mad at them for doing it wrong otherwise, and he tends to responds to attempts at friendship with punches to the face. He's the loner who is genuinely miserable but absolutely doesn't let anyone help and is the architect of his own misery. Silent victories tend to stay silent when the victor refuses to speak of them.
Exactly! I have kinda grew up (as in I don't throw tantrums like I used to as a kid and a teen), but I'm aware I'm not Dorn yet (and am very far away from Dorn), people still don't bother actually listening to me and don't understand me most of the time.
He actually told Ferrus (he wanted to be friends with him) about the Eye of Terror and Ferrus didnt knew what he was talking about , somehow Peter Turbo took that as insult or a weakness and would never open up to anyone (i always thing what if he sopke to Magnus about it first, maybe things would turn different)
as someone else I saw put it: Perturabo got done dirty by Chaos. By keeping him paranoid, which kept him isolated, he got an inferiority complex and repressed all his emotions to always project strength to not show weakness. Which means he could never give himself a break. Which turned into a martyr complex because he was hurting but couldn’t tell anyone and never got help. Which made him bitter and petulant. He’s literally some kind ex-gifted kid story. Extremely competent, but burnt out and mean.
Perty could be the GOAT if GW gave him the chance. He is the perfect foil for both Guillman and Lionel Johnson in 40k. He has the best logistical ability in the galaxy other than Guillman. And he is a commander below but close to the level of Lionel Johnson. Give my man his chance!
He's by far my fav traitor primarch. Angel Exterminatus is incredible. I just love that he's super stubborn and grumpy. I hope when we see him on the tabletop he's basically a Dreadnaught.
I feel like it would have fit his character more if he wouldn't have turned into a demon Prince and instead would have augmented his body to the point of being a cyborg. Not only would it not contradict his hatred of religion and chaos in general but considering how intelligent he is he would be the only traitor primarch who could pull it off. Iron within and iron without.
Unfortunately I think that is outside the power of the creatives. GW has had Perts as a Daemon Primarch since before he started to get actual characterization, so everything they do now basically has to have a confirmation bias. Like how HH novels pertaining to the Iron Warriors had to explain why characters we saw in the Honsou books were super down with Chaos worship and why that warband was more or less stoked to be doing Chaos shit. Everyone today is playing "fix the last guy's mess" when they write for IWs.
He is a lonely, easy to unamused and sulking, always wants everything is perfect in his own way, bad at making friends. Sad how behind in a stoic unwavered armor, hiding a boy that regrets everything in past
I love Perturabo. I think if him and vastorr work together, they could turn the Tyranid threat into new war machines thanks to Vashtorr’s power over machines and Perturabo’s technovirus! Thing is, they have an uneasy partnership, which angers me, because Vashtorr is the most honest and straightforward demon who genuinely is all about business and gives it to you straight about the price, and he only deals in souls, demon engines, warp smithing, and the dark mechanicus, which Perturabo uses heavily. All vashtorr has to do is give Perturabo approval on his works and they have a jolly cooperation!
There's a funny juxtaposition between Horus and Perturabo and I wish they would explore it more. Horus is a man of limitless charisma but questionable qualification for Warmaster, while Perty is a man of no charisma but fully capable of succeeding in any task. In that same sense, the Lion is really the most similar primarch to Perturabo, as they both share that obsessed genius quality, the Lion just having a crystal clear sense of purpose to keep him balanced, in contrast to Perty's flailing introspection. I think it would be really cool if/when the Lion meets daemon-Perturabo he's struck by how confident and self-possessed he's become unlike the gibbering slave he saw in Angron.

My favourite Primarch. My favourite Legion. Like you said, he kept quiet because he was just doing what he thought the Emperor wanted him to do. He was smart enough to know his place as a tool of war, not some grand architect for the good of the Imperium. So he just shut up, and got down to work. I wonder if something could have been different if he even TRIED just a little to advocate for himself to the Emperor and his brothers. But I guess he just figured that would lead to his own termination, since it wasn't in line with his "created purpose".
I think Pert should have been made war master after the Heresy and Abbidon his lackey or figure head. Acting much like the emperor and his forces he commands. You don't really hear from him but you know Pert is doing something like the emperor playing chest with his war bands. It fits well into the setting of bad shadowy figures that is playing the long game of siege and attrition. Explains why a lot and periods of nothing happens in the lore as he's plotting.
I think perturabo works more as a frank horrigan enforcement type rather than a leader. I don't think he would ever be Abaddons right hand man considering how he is as a person, but he would certainly do some damage. Thanks for watching!

Perturabo is a narcissists, he knows he is a genius and expects others to know the inherent value of it, because he is self centered and ignores the fact that everyone is too busy with their own problems
I jjust remain amazed that GW can spend years writing the Iron Warriors as hypocrites who decry mutation and the Emperor's Children's use of monsters while constantly making mutants and monsters, who insist that they don't worship Chaos while worshipping Chaos, and yet when they reveal that Pert is a daemon prince, the fandom is shocked.
Perty is one of those characters that I can see exactly why he is the way he is. His power set is a blessing and a curse. Smartest man alive but no fun in the journey and he has constant paranoia. Shit sucks. But on the other hand. I have never had a character so easily remind me of a handful of people I have had to be around for long periods of time lmao. A person who just cant communicate their feelings properly and will instead quietly seethe. All the shit that he gets memed on for his manchild behavior basically lol. Its because of that part that I cant stand him. Which is great writing honestly 10/10 wouldn't have it any other way.
You forgot about his relationship with Magnus in his Primarch novel. Honestly one of the more slept on novels imo, the Thousand Sons, Iron Warriors and their Primarchs are shown to have a lot in common in that book. Kinda makes you wonder if Perty and Magnus stayed loyal during the Heresy. Horus wouldnt have stood a goddamn chance.
Yeah, sure Perty is a salty bitch, but it seems to me, at least, that Magnus was his favored brother, despite the on-the-face differences between them. Perty genuinely cared about Magnus and his consul. I see them both as tragic characters that were meant for so much more in the Emperors vision. Imagine what those Legions could have done in concert with each other if only they had stayed loyal?
He is a Competent Man Child. Although as a Man in his mid thirties that works a trade job and carries the majority of the workload for the shop for the same pay and recognition as the rest. I can relate heavily with this man. @@unclesamlore
He didn’t know what the Eye was or what it contained when growing up on Olympia. The attack on Terra didn’t fall apart the instant he quit the siege. And he is quite right. There are no gods in 40k. The chaos pantheon are warp hurricanes with sentience.
I want GW to reconsider his demon hood but I know GW doesn't care I want him to have ether being forced to be a daemon primarch or be like corax embracing his truest form and perty being made of iron would fit him perfectly to me
The little bit we've seen of him (he shows up in one of Hansu's books where he plays a a couple games of regicide with him) Perterabo is described to have extremely pale skin like a corpse and he wears an absolutely massive set of power armor. I think it would be cool if he used the Imperial fist geneseed to make a deal with Vashtor or the other 4 chaos gods in exchange for an extremely powerful demon. And the suit he is wearing is essentially a primarch sized dreadnought or terminator armor with said demon trapped inside it allowing him to use the demons power so he's technically not a demon prince but he has powers similar to one.
Perturabo speaks to me. I am moderately gifted in the IQ department but I am so severely autistic I am functionally only average to above average in the IQ department in practice. Most of that IQ has to be spent figuring out social rules and memorizing flowcharts of how people normally socialize and reading social science literature so I can mimic a visage of normalcy. This has never stopped giving me intense angst. Worse is that all of my friends are high achieving fellow high IQ autists born into big name families where their autism was considered a blessing rather than a curse. So I'm living life as a nobody while seeing my friends all become big name lawyers, doctors, accountants and then inheriting family fortunes and names while I am just another nobody. Life is suffering.
06:37 The problem here is that the year Perturabo burned Olympia is right at the year 000 M30 about the same time as the Triumph of Ullanor. So Angel Exterminatus' description of a corrupted Horus approaching Perturabo at the time was either retconned or no one noticed when his Primarch book was written. 13:23 The same man who drowned his own son instead of a moderate execution or exile.
It should be know that Perturabo wrangled Angron back for the Siege of Terra, by this point he is a Daemon Prince and Perturabo beat him down dragged him back to the ship and stuffed him in the labyrinth he built for Curze to contain Vulkan in. Once they reached Terra he just opened the labyrinth and let Angron drop from orbit onto the battle field
But not go loyalist. He should go on a campaign, and at the end become human again. However, he still stay renegade, and fights chaos and the imperium at the same time cause all this time, he consider both sides as a bunch of cunts
@@Joseph-mw2rl I rather see him either repenting become a pocket autonomous empire of future Imperium, or absolved by Emperor from chaos corruption, but given the opportunity to became separate faction akin to King in Yellow which is Constantin Valdor, so he can add more dimensions of wars beyond chaos gods' great game nor the invasions of Tyranids' Hivemind, nor the attempts of Necron to reunify and became the biggest threats to any sentient and psychic beings
Perterabo is the perfect example of what would happen when an average man was born with godly powers. Primarchs are suppose to be higher beings and guides to mankind. Bringing humanity up and out of the miazma of the warp. Perterabo is the emperor's ultimate failure. The tragety is not his backstory and trauma. But the fact that he was given the gift of godhood and remained an average human.
@@unclesamloreno from what i read its more what if a specific type of person got power cause the average person wouldn't be a perturabo that takes a specific type of psychology.
🔴 Khorne Magic: Metal (Iron=Blood)! Perturabo the Daemon Primarch of Khorne and his Iron Warriors, with iron bodies bleeding iron blood! (Perfect example Azariah Kyras Daemon Prince of Khorne) Not Kharn but Kroeger the Betrayer!
Ohh shit :( Then the change makes a whole lot of sense. Perturabo and Angron are my 2 fav Primarks, as they are the only 2 that go "traitor" of their own free will. But then Perturabo 1 ups with becoming a demon of his own choice (more or less). I love warhammer lore :D

as much as I make fun of ol' Peter Turbo for being a salty manchild I can understand his circumstances. If I was placed in the same set of events he had to go through I wouldn't be coming out very nice either.
Counterpoint: Perturabo is the Reddit primarch -Thinks he is superior to everyone else because he is "le heckin atheist" -Needs constant validation or he throws a tantrum -Somehow worse with women than Angron -Probably wears a fedora unironically
Peter turbo wanted to be a builder, a architect but instead was to be used as a tool for war. He hated it and kept going through spite, witch secured is role as the primarch that get the shit campagns over and over and pulled through it. He was bitter at core and coat hilself in bitterness. It's a shame because all the primarch got impressed by is feats in building and archutectural wonders, tho they all agreed is legion was a well oiled machine . He got the treatment of the incompetant bitter jober vilain in curent novels while being one of the biggest threat to both the Imperium and possibly the dark crusade, witch is funny.
@@unclesamlore i won't say ''the best'' but by far the most intriging and relatable one of all the bunch. He is quite the definition of ''power through misery''. You did a good portrayal my dude.
Dammekos wasn't perfect. Perturabo had quite a bit of justification to think the way he did about the Tyrant of Lochos, but Dammekos was also a product of his environment, and tried to politik his way into the safety and interests of his own state. Plus another very important thing was the constant assassination attempts. Also, I have a feeling Big E really did seem to value Perturabo, maybe even more than characters like Guilliman. The Iron Warriors are provisioned so much battlegear, more than any other save The Dark Angels, he has the second largest Gloriana Class Ship, _and_ critics of his actions like Guilliman were censored by The Emperor himself. I think that The Emperor probably thought, as privately as he did, that The Iron Warriors did some of the best work that they were made for, just given his behaviour above, an attitude that Horus seems not to share.
So basically, Perturabo is what happens when you don't invest ANY of your skill points into charisma.

EXACTLY. It makes him such a human character and I just adore him so much. Thank you for watching man!
Perturabo and the Iron Warriors: butthurt within, butthurt without.
The fact that i identify with a lot of Perturabo's issues is some kind of wake up call maybe.... except I'm not nearly as dangerous or smart.
Finally some recognition for my boy Peter!
OH YEAH PETER. thanks for watching!
Great video ! :D
Thanks boss! Appreciate your kindness!
Iron within iron without. I agree with you a lot. But I believe chaos was constantly messing with him. The eye is the 4 gods watching.
If that is true, that is hilarious. Thanks for watching!
Thought perturabo acted like a stubborn spoiled petulant child before this video. And that opinion hasn’t changed.
Fair enough! Thanks for watching!
Oh. FYI. Awesome video. It was entertaining
@@VictorMartinez-ft2op thanks man! Appreciate it!
@@unclesamlore I subbed. So again. Great vid
True! I should have covered that. My bad! Thanks for watching!
So Perturabo is the man child of the warhammer 40K universe I guess
Yep. That is who is he is. But he's so goooooooood
It didn't fall apart sure, but it might as well have considering how crucial he was to it's success early on, thanks for watching!
hes my favorite primach, i think if he was more praised and was set out as equal to dorn by the emperor he might have been more loyal in the end,
If he was treated the way he should have, he would have been one of the most loyal, without a doubt. Thanks for watching!
There was only one solution for Perturabo's problems..
Vulkan
I want GW to reconsider his demon hood but I know GW doesn't care I want him to have ether being forced to be a daemon primarch or be like corax embracing his truest form and perty being made of iron would fit him perfectly to me
I think whatever we get will be really cool! GW does a really great job at bringing characters full circle, so I am excited! Thanks for watching!
Yeah I am pretty sure it was reconned at some point. Thanks for watching!
Great video!!
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Oh no! It’s Peter Turbo!
TURBO TASTIC!!!!
SALTYNES WITHIN SALTYNESS WITHOUT
Enjoyed the video! Keep it up
Thanks man! Appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
I hope Peter Turbo could get his soul back and repents
That would be cool! Thanks for watching!
A simple Thank you, would Give the Emporer a New Robute. And the traitors would have never reached Terra.
if perturabo is the most human then a narcissist is the most level headed human
Perterabo is the perfect example of what would happen when an average man was born with godly powers. Primarchs are suppose to be higher beings and guides to mankind. Bringing humanity up and out of the miazma of the warp. Perterabo is the emperor's ultimate failure. The tragety is not his backstory and trauma. But the fact that he was given the gift of godhood and remained an average human.
You NAILED IT. awesome analysis! Thanks for watching!
@@unclesamloreno from what i read its more what if a specific type of person got power cause the average person wouldn't be a perturabo that takes a specific type of psychology.
Perturabo is a Nice Guy ™️ in primarch form
He just wanted to be appreciated and acknowledged by his father.
Yup! Always did. Thanks for watching!
Petty robo here literally could have avoided his fate had he just been willing to talk to his fucking dad
Unfortunately Perty while being my favorite is the one I relate to the most… for the wrong reasons.
Human characters are human, even in bad ways. It's what makes them engaging! Thanks for watching!

Khorne Magic: Metal (Iron=Blood)!
Perturabo the Daemon Primarch of Khorne and his Iron Warriors, with iron bodies bleeding iron blood!
(More terrifying, despite their rage their minds are intact)
Perturabo the master of Metal Magic, creating Iron Sorcerers of Khorne!
(Perfect example Azariah Kyras Daemon Prince of Khorne)
Not Kharn but Kroeger the Betrayer!
I feel like he would fall to khorne, but also his spite is just too darn strong. Thanks for watching!
Perturabo is literally me. Dorn too
LMAO thank you for watching!
Earned yourself a new subscriber lad, see you around the remembie server
Thanks man! Appreciate the support!
I want to see what would happen if you unplugged all those tubes in their face
I thought that he got his lifeforce back during the fight with and betrayal of Fulgrim ?
Nope. He lost it forever unfortunately. Thanks for watching!
Bro, the end of this where you’re summing up Perturabo and his failures sounds like you’re a dad giving tough love to his son who fucked up.
Hey. Could it be possible for Perturabo to become loyalist in canon?
So, thoughts on what his demon form will look like?
I am hoping a big fleshy dreadnought thing. That could be really cool
Perhaps THE Saltiest Person/Being in All of 40K even if he has reason to be. Especially once he joined the Heresy and Had to deal with Their Bullshit while Carrying It The Whole Team.
Hold up, is the tune from Sonic the Hedgehog (casino nights?) free license?
Pretty sure, haven't had any issues! Thanks for watching!
lol Don't worry, even if it weren't I'm fairly certain at this point I'm one of the 7 or 8 people that remember that, or even know of it anyways.@@unclesamlore
at first i thought i wouldn't like any traitor Chapter/primarch because i figured none of them would be as cool as the imperial fist/ Rogal Dorn
but then i learned about Perturabo and the iron warriors and the fact that they had never worked together at all bothers me

YES. YES HE WOULD. YOU DONT KNOW HOW RIGHT YOU ARE ABOUT THIS
I can't even hate Petty Perty because he literally got hit with the wombo combo of being subjected to the Project carry person and walmart retail worker at the same time
Like fucking hell dude, you know how internally pissed retail workers are because of people existing? Exactly
Hmmm. Nice video. But a lot of Curze hate without any explanation. Future video?
I don't hate curze at all, it's just something perturabo does. He does a lot of mentioning curze whenever someone brings up his issues, thanks for watching!

LMAOOOO thanks for watching!
as much as I make fun of ol' Peter Turbo for being a salty manchild I can understand his circumstances. If I was placed in the same set of events he had to go through I wouldn't be coming out very nice either.
He is the hater of haters.
In a galaxy of opps, he stands alone as the "erm, acktully" thorne in everyones side.
Counterpoint: Perturabo is the Reddit primarch
-Thinks he is superior to everyone else because he is "le heckin atheist"
-Needs constant validation or he throws a tantrum
-Somehow worse with women than Angron
-Probably wears a fedora unironically
Peter turbo wanted to be a builder, a architect but instead was to be used as a tool for war. He hated it and kept going through spite, witch secured is role as the primarch that get the shit campagns over and over and pulled through it. He was bitter at core and coat hilself in bitterness.
It's a shame because all the primarch got impressed by is feats in building and archutectural wonders, tho they all agreed is legion was a well oiled machine .
Without is invollement the heresy would have never reached Terra.
He got the treatment of the incompetant bitter jober vilain in curent novels while being one of the biggest threat to both the Imperium and possibly the dark crusade, witch is funny.
Either way, perturabo is one the best warhammer characters, always will be! Thank you for watching!
@@unclesamlore i won't say ''the best'' but by far the most intriging and relatable one of all the bunch. He is quite the definition of ''power through misery''. You did a good portrayal my dude.
hes literally me fr
He was a spiteful, petulant fool. There's a reason Rogal was chosen to build the palace. He doesn't have Perty's ego.
