  • The term investment bag is widely used all over the #luxuryfashion TH-cam community and beyond. I wanted to sit down with you guys today to dig a little deeper into this concept and figure out whether or not the arguments are valid. This video is for all fashion girls who love a good bag, but also want to build wealth and make smart decisions for the future. So let's chat about the reasons why and why not purchasing a #designerhandbag is and is not an investment. What is an investment? Can your luxury purses be a good investment? Or are we all just wasting our money and using the terms #investmentbag and #luxuryinvestment as justification for our spending habits?
What do guys you think? As always, I want to hear your thoughts!
Would you or do you purchase luxury handbags as investments?
Do you think you can make money from luxury items?
Or do you think people use this term as false justification?

I don’t think bags are really investments. I do think some bags hold some better value than others. I’ve had luxury bags since 2005. Collection is smaller but fairly well rounded including flaps, Kelly, birkin etc. that being said, selling it to reseller websites isn’t great. They low ball you. Selling on your own is a huge risk & actually quite scary. Investments are homes, stocks, real-estate etc. Most brands don’t hold value. Hermes and chanel prices go up or break even. LV breaks even or gets you close to initial spent. Other brands you’re gonna lose the $. It’s more on if you want it get it cos it’ll just cost more in a few months ie: Chanel

Glad you agree! Luxury is fun for sure, but it’s not an investment like real estate, the market or growing a business.
