    Really like the straightforward captions/infographics on this vid. Helpful in being able to focus on the important points. Perfect combo of auditory/conversational and visual.

    David makes the point that water is a solvent, not a lubricant. I do remember so very little from grade school science, but water was called a universal solvent.

    A very cool video, I liked the music in the background, the sound on this one is good, and I like that it's all real time - it's a much needed break from time lapses most use. I can focus on this technique and the sanding process better that way. And Ivan the Ninja in the background 🙅‍♂️

    Excellent video. Really helpful content and I appreciate the questions you are asking. Sometimes I wish we could slow him down a little bit or simply reiterate what he said. Just to make sure that we're understanding his comments correctly. I'm thinking about a scratch right now that's on my wife's car. I think it's going through all the way to the panel, but maybe a little wet sanding and a polish will help smooth it over. Maybe I'll put some touch-up paint on first.

    Great video - nice to see machine polishing shown in real time rather than the annoying time-lapse which everyone seems to use which tells you nothing about polishing technique. Just one suggestion…fade out the music backing track completely during the talking sections.

      There was so much background noise at the event I needed the music to try to hide it but note taken

    I usually wet sand with 1,000 or 2,000, then use a rotary with a wool pad with heavy cut, then finish with a one step polish. I'm not sure if this is the most effective and efficient way but it seems to do a good job.

    • @attention2detailswchelsea
      @attention2detailswchelsea  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For those that don’t have multiple tools or prefer the da though this is a great system

    • @brianhenry7983
      @brianhenry7983 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@attention2detailswchelsea I'm still trying to figure out the best way, do you prefer to wet sand all the way back to 5,000 and then finnish with a DA, or do you use a rotary to speed it up, then finnish with a DA?

    • @oberkcarcare
      @oberkcarcare ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brianhenry7983 either will get the job done. When doing large sanding jobs or more difficult area to polish, I prefer the rotary for precision as well as long cutting with reduced heat. If it is a smaller sanding repair or a flat area, a DA can be very efficient.

    Great video !!! Can you wetsand a plastic bumper ? Thank you !!

    • @attention2detailswchelsea
      @attention2detailswchelsea  ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically yes because it has the same base primer, color and clear over top of it. Just be mindful of heat though from correction as it will create more being plastic and a slightly higher risk of burning through if you polish too aggressively. I’d try 3000 grit then compound and polish on that surface but that’s just me.
