I saw on CBS News on 09/20/24 (yesterday) they had on an election expert who was complaining that having the election workers simply count the number of ballots received by election day before they went home for the day was too onerous a task because many poll workers were elderly and retired.
The pretty young news woman interviewing him didn't challenge him on this ridiculous reason not to take this minor election security measure.
If you are a cashier, and it is the end of your shift, you and your manager need to both count out the not just the dollar amount, but the number of ones, fives, tens, and twenties.
If thus simply task is done for every shift change for every cashier since forever, it's not too much work to do it for every precinct in every election.
Also, if you worked at a bank, and you complained about security measures the way this "election expert" did, you would be under suspicion and probably investigated.
The entire exchange left me distrustful of CBS News.
Also it's one friggin day - they can handle this "onerous" task for one day every couple of years.

Either they wanted/orchestrated the October intelligence fiasco, or there are known exploits in electronic devices that can be remotely accessed to overclock and cause a catastrophic reaction due to overheating. This includes our commercial devices. There's evidence to suggest both are possible, and yes.... our voooting system is likely compromised - if not by foreign entities then certainly by domestic ones. Doomposting complete.

Hand counting ballots in Georgia is suspicious at the outset.
Tennessee has, at least in my county, paper ballots that are scanned into the computer before the voter leaves the premises and the votes and ballots are reconciled before data is taken from the computer. The computer is not connected to any other computer, wirelessly or otherwise, until it’s delivered to the central location, but the results of the precinct votes are printed and put on public display before the computer leaves the precinct voting site. Paper ballots are secured and made available should there be any question about the accuracy of the published results. Simple.
