Stop, go, stop, go, stop, go, stop, go, stop, go, stop, go! Whoever made the music for all of dkc knew exactly how to make the music for every level, it’s setting, its aesthetic, it’s tone, and mostly the sheer intensity and stress it puts on the level, it’s absolutely perfect

So the DKC stuff was prerendered on Silicon Graphics computers and then converted into 2D sprites. I realize that. Not even one in the final world... I reckon Kremkroc Industries Inc should've been the final world. All the trekking through DK Island...DK's home turf...leading up to the world where the Kremlings took over and destroyed the environment. That's more climactic than some cavern world.

You should really really really do more games like this. Especially those Super Nintendo games that have incredible soundtracks. Not just any random game, but the ones that are highly rated in soundtrack quality
So after listening to a few of these "restored" songs, I am convinced that there needs to be an MSU patch to DKC and DKC2 featuring these works. If you don't know what MSU means, its basically streaming CD quality audio to play on an emulator in the place of 16bit music. If you have never experienced a classic in this manner, then you are missing out. Its an addition that changes the experience of the game and makes it seem like what we imagined the audio would sound like back in the day. Nothing wrong with classic 16bit music, its just like being able to go beyond the limitations of the hardware and have amazing quality music along side our favorite games. Imagine this exact song coming out of DKC while playing the game. Breathtaking...
The HD versions were only released on the New 3DS, right? Really annoyed me that they weren't available for download on the standard 3DS or since then, on the Switch!

Unpopular opinion but this soundtrack goes incredibly well with red dead redemption 2. I played through the manor burning raid segment with this song in the background and it was the coolest feeling ever

0:00-0:42 Mechanical rhythms. This is an ALIEN and WEIRD environment, especially for Donkey and Diddy Kong. The entire game you have been outdoors, in jungles, on snowy peaks, in ancient temples, in the tree tops. But now you're in a decidedly UNNATURAL, UNWILD environment of industrial creation. 0:41-0:56 But still there's this combative flow through this part. It's not alien sounding, and it is goes directly against the entire first impression this environment gave to you in regards to its music. 0:57-1:08 This is David Wise doing his ambient music thing. Aquatic Ambience has the MOST of this, but this reinforces the hope aspect in this track. Notice how the beat at 0:00 just flat out STOPS at this point, too. 1:08 - the initial beat flows back in, bringing us back to the start of the song and allowing the music to repeat again. VERY important for video game music! A LOT of level themes especially in older games are a minute or so in length and are designed to flow back into their beginning. TLDR, You are a monkey trapped in an industrial, foreign environment. But keep going, these are the last few levels in the game, have hope.
Quick thingy, the monkey boom box sounds on "diddy's victory" are inverted (they start in the wrong order) just likeyour restored donkey kong intro theme. Don't know how to correctly explain it, but it is noticiable when you hear both of your versions with the snes ones next to each other.
