Hey guys, welcome to Donkey Kong Month 2017, I hope you enjoyed this change of pace. What's your favorite Kremling?? And do you have any guesses on what else we're gonna cover this year on DK Month? Let me know!
Kutlass gets bonus points from the flavor text in the instruction manual that says something to the effect of 'they bought the cutlasses online, only to realize when they arrived they were too big'
This is unlike any of your other videos, it's less formal and there's so much humor.... I LOVE IT. I still prefer your normal "tone" or whatever in videos but this was a nice change of pace. Amazing work keep it up!
In my personal headcanon, the reason the DKC3 Kremlings are a departure from the previous two games and they look kind of “off” is because K. Rool, in his scientist getup, genetically engineered them.
You showed the evolutions on some of the enemies, which was nice. But you completely disregarded an important one on number #1 Kutlass becomes Kopter in DKC3
I always saw the Klaptraps as an evolution of the Snapjaws from Donkey Kong Jr. That means... Mario somehow made a deal with the kremlings for Kong security.
The Kongs basically effed up the Kremlings so hard in the games that they continued to tranform. And basically k rool had to create his own Kremlings after the loss of the island in DK2. Since all Kremlings came from that island
I am surprised that he did not include Klumps on the list. Also Rockcrocs are pretty interesting enemies. They are pretty rare enemies only appearing in one level and they charge around at fast speeds. Because of their rock hard bodies you can't hurt these guys but you can temporarily blind them by hitting Stop and Go Barrels and the red light blinds them temporarily causing them to curl up and allow you to run by them unscathed. Also their design is just cool. They are brown and lumpy like you would expect from something made of rock and they have red eyes. The eyes glow in the dark too.
This was a really fun video Sno! That bit on the Klinger allegory caught me totally by surprise and had me in stitches. Good dynamic with Perrydactyl too. Good stuff!
I dunno about my favourite Kremlings, but I can easily say which Kremling is easily the worst...the god-forsaken Grey Klobbers. They are the only Kremling that can give a fate worse than a lost life...and that's lost *lives* since they cause you to drop a balloon every time that they hit you without actually killing you.
Yeah they are even worse then the red ones (Kabooms). I mean the worse the red ones can do is make you lose a life in the traditional sense or at the very least lose one of your Kongs. The grey ones though can just steal multiple lives at once. In one of the levels of the true final world of the game there is a level that consists of every member of the Klobber family so imagine losing all your lives from a grey Klobber only to die from a Kaboom. Hello Game Over screen. XD
Mr Snowman... this is a completely irrelevant request... but I'd love to see more videos about "Bad game design"... just putting my opinion on the table.
Hilarious video, I really enjoyed! DKC2 is my favorite SNES game and I love every video you make about its content. Btw I personally love Klinger for his "Wheeee!" sound that he does. He is just really enjoying himself and I always found that totally funny.
No offense to your previous videos, but this is the most candid you've sounded in a video and I really like it. Also, I always thought that the Kloak guy's eyes were a neck bone.
That actually was exactly what I was going for. There was virtually no script, so it was just a fun time being candid, thats a good word for it. Glad you enjoyed :)
Your explanation of the life of klinger touched me right in the feelers man lol..Ill always think of my life as the life of the klinger when ever I play Dkc 2 Now...poetry man ...pure poetry ..thanks for the entertainment that was a awesome video
You forgot a variation to The Klomps in DKC2 snomaN Gaming, The Kabiongs which instead of having one peg leg the Kaboing have two peg legs and they jump a lot. Just wanted to tell you that.
In the book series Kritter was the 3rd in command ranking Kremling, stated to be "a run of the mill common Kremling who rose to the top by being extra nasty". Klaptrap is stated to be the little brother of Klampon. The books also state that he's good friends with Zinger. In the books, Krusha is stated to be second in command. Kruncha is also stated to be his little brother. Also, just an FYI, in the books, there were 5 leaders of the Kremlings. Ranking from top to bottom, they were: King K. Rool, Krusha, Kritter, Rockrock, and Klump.
Great video. Did anybody else notice that Klomp's peg leg is always the leg closest to the screen... they must just invert everything for him to move the other way.
I think Kerozene was pretty badass, like, he really has some potential for seeing him in future games, like, he's probably the most large and powerful kremling out there !
Your comments on the Klinger make me think of the myth of Sisyphus: pushes a boulder up a hill, only to have it roll down again. Repeat. Again, and again, and again: for all eternity.
In DK64 there apparently is a relative of the Kutlass in that game and they are probably the toughest enemies in that game too despite how small they are. They are called Koshas. Instead of pirates these enemies are vikings and they carry these massively huge clubs and they can either swing the club at you or hammer you with it which takes 2 unites of health as opposed to just one. To defeat them you have to lob an orange grenade at them but you can only do this when their club is stuck in the ground. Any other time they will just swing the orange away. Very nasty enemies. They actually drop 2 melon slices as opposed to just one if you defeat them probably because of how tough they are. You first encounter one of these in the caves of Gloomy Galleon. After this they slowly start becoming common enemies. They appear at night in Fungi Forest, found as somewhat common enemies in Crystal Caves with a giant one serving as a boss enemy for Tiny Kong, and in Creepy Castle they are practically out on full force. Needless to say I would rather face an army of Kasplats then a bunch of these club carrying pains in the rear.
I think when you kill Kritters when they fall of the side but their right leg breaks off, then in DKC3 they regenerated their leg like how lizards regenerate tails.
Klomp in DKC2 had a lazy quirk with the sprites. Because it's mirrored whenever he changes direction, the peg leg swaps from his left side to his right side
Klomp 'n Klinger are cool guys! And uuh... Kannon, from DKC2. You know - they've first appeared in DKC as Klump, and, later, Klump took shooting lessons, and he changed his name into - applicable - Kannon.
Omg I realized something. In DKC2, Klomp has a missing leg, but when he is facing the other direction, it the other leg is injured. Look closely at 1:21.
Actually, Kutlass is at least old enough to order things over the television... because according to official media that's how he got his swords... dummy didn't verify the size before placing the order though.
DK! Donkey Month! Oh wait, that doesn't fit in right. Dammit! Anywho, great list. I like the Kutlass for some reason too. Nothing says badass then giving a tiny underling 2 bigass swords!

I am a bit late, but my favorites differ from the games; DKC: Krusha, DKC2: Kutlass, DKC3: Bazzuka.
I love these little guys their both cute & yet dangerous Klaptrap 4:15
will you snoman gaming review caption scurvy today
You'll notice that the Klomps' peg leg changes leg when they turn around. Classic fake peg leg gag, oldest joke in the book
LOL I never noticed that you're so right! Man...that changes everything :P
ShayMay I'm guessing that's
one of the reasons why they weren't used in DK 64
That, or they didn't bother to make sprites to address the swapping wooden leg.
Peggy the Pirate, lol.
I was also Right
This video was hilarious dude. Specially the #2 segment
Thanks Goomba :D It was ridiculously silly to put together but I think it turned out well :)
Goomba do ask goomba 6

Yeah, definitely just wanted to try something new and fun, glad it went over well :)
the rockkrocs are crazy AF. I had a ton of anxiety getting to those stop barrels before they woke up!
YEAH those guys are nuts!
and bolts!
TheRanudo Nuts N Bolts!!!
My introduction to horror gaming as a child and I have loved it ever since! Still do!
I don't think that's a moustache on the Kutlass. It looks like the outline of his nostrils
Yeah upon closer inspection that could definitely be the case lol
BUT ON THE OTHER HAND
*MOUSTACHE*

Captain Skurvy from the DKC cartoon.
TheCartoonGamer8000 isn't he a Kannon from dkc2
Cutlass
You are so right
You showed the evolutions on some of the enemies, which was nice. But you completely disregarded an important one on number #1
Kutlass becomes Kopter in DKC3
I forgot about that
Bazuka looks like he belongs in a Spyro game.
I can see that being a thing

I'm surprised Kritter wasn't closer to the number 1 spot, he's the iconic kremling. And no Klubba?

Same here.
I have plans for one in the future...stay tuned :P
ive been anticipating a new episode ever since the first one he did all the way back at the end of last DK month
Buskman I completely agree
I think he should do one on No mans sky
Could've sworn #1 would be Rockcroc.
Finally donkey kong month Been waiting forever. And what makes it even better is that you make the videos.
Love the video man.
Well, this is oddly specific...
I'm getting down to the nitty gritty for DK Month :P
Dk is a great series I will mark this in my calendar yearly.
Yep
The klingler's spech conclusion just kill me..

Loved the vibe of this video bro, a countdown video that felt like a podcast
This list was a different style but I really liked it
Yeah I wanted to try something different :)
snomaN Gaming
Keep doing this
This is hilarious
No Klump 0/10
Haha, nah, great video! Great to see this channel active!
I think Klubba should be on this list...
Klump as well, big up General Klump 👊
Krumbles from DKC3 are the best, the sound they do when you beat them is AMAZING!
Your explanation of the life of klinger touched me right in the feelers man lol..Ill always think of my life as the life of the klinger when ever I play Dkc 2
Now...poetry man ...pure poetry ..thanks for the entertainment that was a awesome video
honorable mention to Klump.

Before there was Re-Koil there was KaBoing. One of the most difficult stages in DKC2 was Rattle Battle. Never forget.
i like the klump bc he never really change at all unlike all the other kreamlings. also because they are pretty smart despite their health.
5:58. Wow, that was a nice picture.
so he's finally here

One of my favorite Kremlins has to be Kaboing. His design with Pogo Peg-legs is so memorable.
All the kremlings featured in the cartoon. They carried the show tbh
Great way to start off DKC month
That promo code, you're a mad man.
What you said with thing klingers hit, and it felt so relatable. Masterpiece of a video.
I love how Re-Koil sounds like he’s saying “warthog” while bouncing
This is my favorite video on snomaN Gaming
My favourites, least to most:
10- Kuff N' Klout
9- Kasplat
8- Re-Koil
7- Krumple
6- Kutlass
5- Kritter
4- Klump
3- Krusha
2- Krook
1- Knocka, Klasp and Kuchuka(the 3)
Good list. I always loved #1 most, too
Aside from King K. Rool, my picks are:
1) Krusha
2) Klump
3) Klaptrap
4) Kritter
5) Kasplat
Kutlass for DKC cartoon :D
I love the kritter in a sheet and the kritters that hide in those green barrels.
In the book series Kritter was the 3rd in command ranking Kremling, stated to be "a run of the mill common Kremling who rose to the top by being extra nasty".
Klaptrap is stated to be the little brother of Klampon. The books also state that he's good friends with Zinger.

Love your videos man! It is crazy how much you sound like a college professor I had.
Very entertaining. Good work Mr. Snoman :)
Klomp changes what leg is pegged depending on witch way it's walking
I think Kerozene was pretty badass, like, he really has some potential for seeing him in future games, like, he's probably the most large and powerful kremling out there !
If Kloak is a Kremling, I don't see why Mankey Kong can't be.
Manky is Lanky's uncle.....
BUT THAT'S JUST A THEORY, A GAA... yeah ill leave now
And cranky is the father
Cutlass was always my favorite since was 6 years old and still is today 22 years later. So happy to see him take the #1 spot.😁🐊⚔🥇
I knew a dude who skipped let day in his workouts. He reminded me of Tiny from Marvel.
You deserve more subscribers. Your videos are excellent!
Such a great video to start DK month
Your comments on the Klinger make me think of the myth of Sisyphus: pushes a boulder up a hill, only to have it roll down again. Repeat. Again, and again, and again: for all eternity.
I like the krusha.
My boy Klump was forgotten. He is overweight, so he enlisted in the k rool army to lose weight and serve his king. What a hero.
Can we be sure that Kloak is even a Kremling?
I don't think he was 🤷♂️
This was just the best video. Real wholesome
My favorite are Kackles, you know, the skeleton ghost kremlings.

WOOOO DK MONTH! Great video, dudes!
"It would be nice if K Rool started enlisting mentally handicapped Kremlings."
Mad Jack: *Glares angrily*
Edit: Mad jack is my no.1
Kampon is stated to be the older version of klaptrap in the dkc2 manual
Also Klinger also has a knife
This video was so much fun
1:21 FUNFACT: They chance their "lost leg" every time they change direction xD
I think when you kill Kritters when they fall of the side but their right leg breaks off, then in DKC3 they regenerated their leg like how lizards regenerate tails.
I didn't know that Kloak is also a Kremling. I thought that it was a totally different animal ghost.
My favourite is Kasplat.
My favorite Kremling is Rock Kroc. The best Kremling is probably Kutlass and Klank equally; they have so much personality!
Ohhh Is there gonna be a speedrun race again!? I love those videos!
The Klomp's wooden leg changes sides when a Klomp changes direction...
Klomp in DKC2 had a lazy quirk with the sprites. Because it's mirrored whenever he changes direction, the peg leg swaps from his left side to his right side
I had no idea it was donkey kong month!
The get bigger and wear less clothing? Krusha, Kruncha, and Krumple are the Incredible Hulks of the DK Universe!
I really like the kremling that goes "Ugh!"!
why...
i cant believe you would give kritter-in-a-sheet the shaft like that man :(
Oh my, how did I forget about donkey kong month! Immediately stopped playing specter of torment on my switch.
But PBG, it's not Zelda Month yet!
I wonder if Nintendo or Rare were listening in to the whole Kasplat love story idea...
I too am a big fan of the one that goes "UUGH"
Klomp 'n Klinger are cool guys! And uuh... Kannon, from DKC2. You know - they've first appeared in DKC as Klump, and, later, Klump took shooting lessons, and he changed his name into - applicable - Kannon.

DK! Donkey Month! Oh wait, that doesn't fit in right. Dammit!
Anywho, great list. I like the Kutlass for some reason too. Nothing says badass then giving a tiny underling 2 bigass swords!
Those damn krunchas in the ice level with snapjaw.
kopter is my favorite.
I keep coming back for "they're losing their clothes"
I just noticed that the klomp animation is the same sprit mirrored, which implies that their missing leg is whichever one is pointing to the camera
