  • Across North America, Bluebirds are easily identified by the fact that they generally live in wide open places, perch in obvious places and more pretty darn blue.
In Episode #39 of Learn A Bird, Dan Gardoqui does a ringer of a job imitating a few versions of Eastern Bluebird songs and calls while sharing a bit about the birds lifestyle.
Watch for yourself. If you like it, lemme know and please share it with others.

You are doing it so well that the bluebird reacted to your call. And you did a perfect Raven's call as well.👍

Cool, except that wasn’t a Raven, it was an American Crow call. And before anyone tries to say that they are the same bird, they are distinctly different. They might look the same and have very minuscule physical differences, but nonetheless behave and function distinctly.

Okay...so I just carefully re-listened to the video and I'm 99% confident -from both the audio.and from my memory of that day- that the corvids vocalizing are, in fact, Common Ravens. We have Ravens, crows and fish cries here and I'm quite familiar with most of their calls. Thanks for the prompt.
