    ---
How do you find your power when life knocks you down?
What do you do when you are in the middle of an emotional tsunami?
How do you respond when the universe is testing you?
This is the ultimate episode about #resilience, #confidence, #relationships, and taking your #power back.
Yes, you can take control with simple tools whenever you feel that insecurity spiral kick in. You can pick yourself up, shake off the sh*t, and you can make it a win for you.
In this episode, I take you into my life as my 22-year-old daughter gets news that sent her spiraling: her ex was now interested in one of her friends.
This episode unfolds live, over the phone, in real-time, and it is about way more than dealing with #heartbreak.
This is for everyone, including you.
This is about how you can make those moments of #insecurity a win. It’s about finding your confidence when #selfdoubt comes in. It’s about getting your power back.
And this is also about how you can make better decisions. How to align your actions and reactions with what you want out of life, rather than letting your emotions hijack you.
    This is powerful stuff.
During this deeply relatable conversation, you’ll laugh, nod along, and probably think of a dozen friends who need to hear this too. My daughter and I unpack the situation live, and you’ll hear Kendall process her feelings, rise above the noise, tap into her power, and start coaching herself forward from a place of confidence and clarity.
Honestly, as her mother, I’m incredibly proud of what she shares in this episode.
I want you to listen because I want you to feel empowered too.
In one hour, you will learn how to turn hurt feelings into a WIN for you. You’ll hear the best advice I’ve ever received when life knocked me down, and how you can use it to make your life and your attitude 10X better.
You’ll understand how to break old patterns of self-sabotage and kick them to the curb for good.
Holy sh*t…I almost forgot! There is swearing in this episode! If you have any kids around, put those headphones on!
And seriously: for anyone in your life struggling with insecurity, do them a favor and remind them of who they are. Send them this episode so they can take their power back.
    Xo Mel
    In this episode, you’ll learn:

That's beautiful! Good luck to you! Hopefully then are inspired by your change in communication with them and you get the gift Mel just showed us. What a happy and healthy young adult sounds like working through a problem! What insane pride knowing that you taught them, or in this case are going to show them, how to be honest with you and themselves. I hope it's a great moment for you as well!

Hi Mel, I’m very new to your stuff, I was recommended to you by my boyfriend and we both love your work ! I really enjoy how raw and candid you, and your family are. It’s truely inspiring ! But this episode in particular really resonated with me, especially in relation to insecurities and choosing to go right, instead of continuing left. I have recently been struggling a lot with my negative inner dialogue, which would have me believe all sorts of crazy things, for example, a few months ago, a new female friend came into our circle, and she is bright and beautiful and bubbly at a time when I was feeling quite the opposite. So my inner negative campaign had me believe that she was a real threat to me and my relationship with my boyfriend. But the rational adult in me knew this was not the case. I actually thought this new friend was amazing, and wanted to build a great friendship with her, but instead old patterns and insecurities were making me feel like I had to remove her from my life. And one morning while I was in inner turmoil with myself, I had a thought that I need to confront this jealous feeling and prove to myself that it wasn’t real and that she was not a threat at all. So I worked up the courage and explained to her, that I had not been myself lately, that I was feeling threatened and insecure around her, but that she had done nothing to warrant these feelings, and that deep down, it’s actually because I think she’s amazing and that we could be great friends. And she listened, and understood and gave me the biggest hug and we are now great friends! ❤

Ok um Kendal is the same age as my daughter and amazingly these children of our are quite wise as they see life with fresh eyes and ours have gone blurry due to repeated behavior and thoughts- I learn sooooo much from my two children and often ask for their fresh eyes (even though my 18 year old son doesn’t want much to do with my fresh eyes 😂).
    So to the point:
    Kendal,
    You are extremely wise.
Your advice to yourself was beyond your years!
What a wise kick ass old woman you will be in your rocking chair sharing the overloaded advice to your grandchildren 🤗❣️
    To Mel’s team:
I watch on TH-cam- I often follow along with transcript (helpful with ADHD guys watching…)
Kendal’s words I relate to and want to implant into my brain permanently.
    However,
I do not have time to write down everything that blew me away and I want to practice.
TH-cam as far as I know doesn’t have the option to print out the transcript. Is there a way for me to do that or is it possible for you to send me a copy of this episode via email.
I’m Sae Gomez and I’m on your emails and texts.
I hope you can get ahold of me. I will try to text you as well later.
Yet if you could show me or if anyone out there knows how to print a transcript of TH-cam videos that would help me so much to actually reallllly change my life!!!
Any replies or from Mel’s team- this is beyond any gift one could give me.
Yes, Mel Dyslexia slows possessing as well as memory- add the ADHD and there you go……
    Printed copy necessary!
Kendal, Mel, Mel’s team, and all those on this journey High 5’s and I loves you to all!!!

Pride! looks pretty great on your face Mel. Wow. And going through this huge life moment myself, I needed to see this.
Your baby girl just inspired the f×(k out of me! OMG, if my boys are able to be even an eighth that honest with themselves and able to do inner work in their head.... oh, my heart would melt!!! It's all we want. Trying hard to get them into great habits. They are only 6 (twin boys). Any advice there?
I am so curious about how you were able to get the family on board when you started high-fiving mirrors. Where were your girls (like mentally) before you taught them the things you have been learning? Or have they always just been that self aware? How is your son? Jeez Mel, you just push through! Look you making your own dreams come true! Again! I know you go into some depth about the kids mindset when you talk about discovering the High 5 Habit. That the kids were home from school and not in a great place mentally themselves due to the Covid-19 outbrake. Did they just see your transformation and want to give it a try? Did you have to convince them? Did you just ignore their reactions to deal with yourself and they followed from your results?
This is so beautiful! No matter how you got there, damn Mel, go ahead and High 5 yourself, yet again! lol
If we could get even a very slight number of of young adults to start thinking logically like your daughter just demonstrated, wouldn't we all have a lot more hope for the future!?!
I would absolutely love it if those in control of our freedom and rights put that much into making the right decisions!
There you go. Your next world changer! Create a mandatory emotional wellness, moral, and integrity test you create for politics before they get to take office or become a judge in the US.
Sorry, got lost in wishing and hoping again...... Great show! VERY interesting and entertaining! Keep us updated on how she's doin! another amazing job

Tell her to pretty much get used to this. Most guys will not commit to someone for long. They think they have to pollenate the world. Be self sufficient and make your own way in the world. Get to a place where you are okay no matter what. Men come and go. Ground yourself and always have a backup plan. I'm 59yrs old and let me tell you they are no better at my age. Im sorry you are going through the pain of a guy that you care about doing this to you but that is just how they are. Don't take it personal. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you. Its them. Just keep being you and love yourself. People also like to sabotage the people they are jealous of especially women. Keep your eye on the prize and don't let others dim your light. Keep shinning :)))

It sucks, and I know/feel that pain she's going through. She will become stronger.... trust me! Tell her to walk tall with her head up high and walk away. People are put in front of us for a reason. Some are made to last and others are not and those are the ones we learn from. Not easy at first, but she will find peace. Tell her it could be worse. I was married for 26 years. Yes, I left the marriage because I fell out of love. I needed to find me again, but I was hurt that he started dating my best friend two weeks after I told him I was filing for divorce. Sending her a big hug and much love.

Love and war aside. As a lifetime musician I can attest to the fact that what she is going through is because this is what being a musician/artist is like. Music (and life) is full of f'cked up people with low integrity who will waste your time and BS you and jerk you around unless you get serious and surround yourself with more successful artists than yourself who have their shit together and will help you learn and grow, so you stop wasting your time with amateurs who have never done anything and have no experience in music and in life and will do nothing but drag you down. Seriously!

    • @Lucaplayshorts
      @Lucaplayshorts 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Why would more successful artists have someone less successful around themselves then? Your advice is contradictory. There are two sides to every story, and if you heard his first perhaps you’d be saying the same thing to him.
