Last year was my first full year with the Dragonfly 7 on my walleye boat. Awesome machine. Ordering a 4Pro for my jon boat. I'll never go back to the other brands.

Hello there I have the dragonfly pro 5 and I have a question since my sonar start to stop working for me on the water brings a message of ‘low voltage suply sonar might stop working’. Can I ask if 11.3 volt that comes out from my lithium Ion battery is to low for the sonar to function?

Your Dragonfly Pro is designed to operate over a range of 10.8V to 15.6V DC. The sonar is the most power-intensive function and will drop out first if the voltage starts to get too low. It does this to prevent damaging any components in the sonar. The 11.3 volts your battery is outputting is pretty close to the bottom of the acceptable voltage range.

@@RaymarineInc thanks for this. I got new battery (the supplier sent me one for free after 3 years of usage, same one but new! Amazing customer care..), and I got a new CPT DVS transducer that I have picked up for 75GBP as mine looked already pretty damaged and cracked in the rubber around its eye. Tomorrow I’m going to test it out with the old battery and the new one, then hopefully I’ll be able to say if it was pure battery issue or transducer issue. Thanks again

How would I add a dragonfly to a carp bait boat when the onboard screen isn't needed? Would it be a case of buying a unit and stripping the internals out to fit in the Hull? Thanks

We can't recommend dismantling the Dragonfly housing and screen. Doing so would destroy its waterproofing, and void any warranty coverage. If you don't need the screen and want to reduce power consumption I suggest just dimming the screen down as low as it will go. Its the backlight that uses the most power, not so much the LCD itself.
There are a few bait-boat integrators out there who install our hardware into their larger systems, but I cannot comment on what modifications they do to it during their build. In those cases we are really just a component supplier as our hardware is part of a larger finished product.

The Dragonfly 4DV does not have GPS. It only offers our CHIRP DownVision sonar. In order to have GPS onboard you would need to go to the Dragonfly 4-PRO level model.

most manufacturers give you a candy video with little useful info, dragonfly vid was far more informative to me and invites me to consider their product more enthusiastically as I explore which model to buy

Most of our Dragonfly content is rather old. We do have a playlist with some information: th-cam.com/play/PLcTGtiTaDj5PaICsn7SIZ8Xa-NTB-a3lZ.html
There are quite a few great user-generated Dragonfly videos here on TH-cam too. Just search "Raymarine Dragonfly"
