- The GMMK Pro in arctic white just hits different. Today I'll show you my custom build with the polycarbonate plate, Everglide Aqua King switches and some EPBT Kuro/Shiro keycaps that tops of my suuuuuper clean looking build.

The attention to details in this video is so nice!! The fact that you blacked out the paper with a marker, underneath the waterking switch parts showcase is such a nice touch

I like the fact, that he made a small pause between the keyboard-asmr and him talking about it again so we could turn our volume down again. Love your videos man, keep it up 🔥🔥

I really like how he puts a timer to tell us that it’s going to end in 54321, so that we can decrease the volume.
You should check out BadSeedTech. Very underrated Techtuber that has production values to the walls. Courteous in making lots of sound/ASMR and warning before blasting you with the louder sound.

Would you prefer these over the black inks? And did you lube the switches yourself for the sound test? Cause i really liked the sound of these switches

I picked up a set of these aqua kings just a few minutes ago from kprepublic, they still say in stock. I have a set of the c3 tangerine v2 switches inbound as well so I am excited to see how they compare.
This is one of the best builds Frank has done.
For others I recommend changing the stabilizers. Durock, C3, or Zeal stabs are fine. Depending on the plate, you might need to sand off the durock stabs a bit to make them fit but changing the stabs help a lot in your overall experience. Mind you this is a 75% so you only need 3 2u and 1 6.25u stabs. There's a bunch of guides on youtube to lube and install stabs so I recommend checking it out.
would everglide panda v3 stabs work well?
Didn't know these type of keycaps existed so I've made the plunge on a GMNK Pro, the switches and these kind of keycaps but in a red and white aesthetic after watching this. Cheers Frank.

I normally go for silent switches, but your sound test sold me on these fellas. Plus I like the idea of not having to lube another set of 90 switches.

Will the aura custom keycaps fit this board since the right FN and ALT buttons seem smaller than regular?
They're releasing a new set of puddings to fit this.
@@paper2946 so technically that new set of puddings will also fit a 65% keyboard, for example ducky one 2 SF?
Aura V2 will be available in 2 colorways.
@@markotesic the one 2 sf has a weird 2u right shift, so you’ll probably have to use one of the keys from the numpad on it

I feel like with those Aqua King super clear switches, you're missing an opportunity to use the White version of the G.Skill Crystal Crown keycaps. Just Clear on Clear for the ultimate RGB.
I just found your video and I legit just bought the exact same setup. With polycarbonate plate, the kuro/shiro caps (which hurt my wallet so bad) and I’m about to build it this week. Love how it looks in this video.

Keyboard turned out super clean! I'm going a similar route with mine, only I'm going with the black cable and using Drop's Dark Dolch caps.
My Aqua Kings are... worrisome. Four were unusable due to tight-fitting stems, and the rest have inconsistent lube/feeling.

I'm in on the gb for the Everglide Crystal Violet switches (tactile, abs housing, violet stem & bottom housing) and now I'm super excited to try them, wish I'd seen the Aqua King gb now though lol

I own a 60% keyboard I made with those, I say that the gateron black inks v2 and the novel key creams are both quite a bit better and cheaper

The spacebar sounds off and there's something obviously wrong with the backspace. It looks good though.
It is such a shame, that the gmmk pro white ice is silver not white :( e white would be an instant buy!
E-white is so common now. I prefer the silver-ness of this white.

@@arispokony2944 Haven't tried them so I can't really say. Though someone from the Philippine mech community mentioned that there are issues with some of the switches (also confirmed by the vendor) as some of the top housings are overly tight. If you intend to buy, please make sure to buy a lot of spares just in case it does happen to you.

I copied the exact same build and it's freaking amazing. Only thing is the stabs for the spacebar rattles a little but everything else rocks. My first keyboard build and i love it
Get the Durock V2 stabs, my GOAT stabs got sticky 3 months in and relubing didn't work either. Got the Durock V2s and they are such a huge upgrade, no rattle whatsoever with the minimal amount of lube

I just got the Aqua king switches and they're seriously amazing. Incredibly smooth and just the right travel distance and weight. So much better than the gateron clear I had before. Now I'm so satisfied with my gmmk pro
I have the gmmk mini and i absoloutely love it, i have glorious red switches and hyperx pudding caps
These switches are goated, aesthically especially.

I really hope that their QC gets better, my gmmk compact has developed some latency and input ghosting when I'm playing rhythm games, which has completely ruined my experience with the board.
I know that the firmware update bricked BT's board and Durock stabs are incompatible with some plates... this is an amazing board despite these flaws. If Glorious sorts these out, they have an amazing product on their hands.

Great video @Frank. Could you do a comparison between this and the Keychron K2? I know they are in quite different leagues, but I am wondering if the trade-offs from something like the keychron k2 v2 are worth it
