We visited Parkdean Thorness Bay on the Isle Of Wight for a short break. This was our first break on the island and we used the Wightlink ferry to get there. The weather was kind and we went paddling in the bay and tried out the park's facilities and free activities.

Went there a few years ago,had a lodge, really nice 👍
We would like to stay in one of the lodges one day. I like to try all the different accommodations, to see what we like best.
Hi Kari! I love the Isle of Wight. I go every may and October. I recommend going to Lower Hyde. It’s a good park and it’s got Languard right next door and a lidl!
Thank you. We are hoping to go back to IoW one day, I would like to visit a couple of the different parks back to back. I like Lidl morello cherry drink, perfect on a nice day while the yachts sail by. 🙂
Great vlog Kari! I think you should include more of the travel clips like you did in this one! In my opinion, it makes the vlogs better!

Goodness you got an almost empty ferry....How did you manage that!!? I always watch your videos Kari and am amazed at how many parks you cover. Have been to Thorness quite a lot as I love the IOW. But a couple of years ago, found a privately owned caravan on the site which we now stay in...personal touches in it and more homely in a quiet area of the park with access through woods to the beach (and a lot cheaper!!). I wonder if you also went to Nodes Point Parkdean on the other side of the Island? Much nicer beach over there at St. Helens, if ever you want to try it. Jess always looks like she has so much fun bless her, even if there weren't many other children there the weekend you went. IOW is our go to place. My grandchildren love it. x J x
The ferry was fairly busy, I was just lucky with some of my shots and getting there early. We haven't been to Nodes yet, but it's on my list for next year. We really enjoyed the IoW, the only downside is the ferry prices have risen quite a bit (even with the Parkdean discount link), but we're definitely going back next year 😊

Hi Kar, is there easy access to transport for some of us who are not driving? Please help me out here I'm trying to book and will not be driving there.
You can catch the ferry from Portsmouth or Southampton, but once on the island, it's really only buses or a taxi (which could be expensive). The ferry prices have rocketed in the past few years, so make sure you use their discount code or Tesco vocuhers, too. I hope this helps.

When you go to the Haven Parks we went to this year Haven Blue Dolphin Holiday Park in Filey North Yorkshire Haven Marton Mere in Blackpool and Haven Presthaven Beach Resort in North Wales?
We're off to Haven this weekend, the video will be up in a few weeks. I'm currently editing a couple of Parkdeans we've been to (I'm a bit behind).

I can't say yet, but it's not one of the northern ones as we're only away for the weekend, and I plan to visit two or three of the north parks in one go. 😊

I guess the resorts think kids will be awake and bored that early, so it gives them something to do. Jess is often more awake than me at that time of day.

I would have to say funfair. I love theme parks and funfairs. Or maybe split the difference and say water parks 😉😉
