Yes, thanks for sharing! The construction of that automatic calibre leads to a thick case… a manual wound, thinner version with a good power reserve would be a very good alternative…
Looks great from the front. Wish it was at least 3mm thinner otherwise it would be on my buy list... It's even thicker than the GO Seaq Pano date flyback which has way more complications!
This is caused by the 7750 based calibre ... The NEW GO SeaQ chronograph measures 17,1 mm ... so no big difference... anyhow you must try these watches on your wrist first...
A Stunning watch! It is thick, very thick but dont judge to fast, try it first! My speedy is 13 Bund the same but on the other hand IWC 3717 is 15. There is a difference between hand wounded and mechanical watches. Apart from thickness ....a beautiful watch. Type20 flayback of 21st century!
Had the possibility to check out the Spirit Flyback in black and blue. Love the black one. Its astonishing! Very good value for money! Did you know, that the folding clasp for the leatherstrap has a microadjustment button? Thats great. I can recommend this stunning watch to everyone, who wants to have a pilots Flyback-Chrono which stands out of the crowd and doesnt crack your bank account 👍
I own the Zulu Time GMT and love the fit and finish…it’s first rate. Interestingly, the strap is much nicer than the bracelet(I have both). I went to see the new fly back and it’s great, just a tad thick IMHO. I didn’t purchase as I already own a Breguet Type XX Transatlantique, but make no mistake Longines is putting out very high quality watches.
I have been in touch with you previously as I have had two Spirit Chonographs (not the flyback) since March 2022. Both have failed. First one had problem with chronograph second hand not resetting at 12 (5 seconds out on re-set). It was replaced after you put me in touch with Longines directly. Second replacement had similar, though not as bad issue. It was sent back for full service (4months) and was returned with hands generally misaligned throughout. Longines main service centre in UK confirmed this. Longines UK were sympathetic and helpful though I couldn't obtain a refund as original watch was purchased through an AD (who were hopeless). Anyway it's not all bad news as Longines allowed to choose a different watch from their range. I picked up the new Conquest Chronograph from their London Boutique last week and it is a gorgeous watch, which I am wearing on the black NATO. Surprised at the extra cost for the Conquest as it is a cam operated Chronograph , but does have ceramic bezel and sapphire caseback showing the L898.5 caliber. I have the black dial variant and so far so good (running at +/- 1-2 secs a day. Long may it continue. Do you have any plans to review this Conquest?
Chrono r always on a higher price range. And longines nail it with the attention to details and the aesthetic design is awesome. Serve well as a dress watch with a executive look.
Oh dear, 17mm thick! 🤯 that’s a dealbreaker I’m afraid. Maybe Longines will release a thinner manual wind only version down the line. But until then, not for me. A good looking nicely finished movement though. I particularly like the perlage. Longines could potentially knock 2 to 3mm off the thickness of the watch by getting rid of the winding rotor and it’s mechanism together with a solid rather than sapphire display back.
17mm is a but thick, even for me. 42mm Dia is a perfect size, however. Any chance Longines will offer a hand-wound version? This watch is absolutely stunning!
I am a bit of a fan of Longines and have a few of the classic models. I love the more recent releases of the Spirit line although I do not have one I have seen some of them in the flesh. The Zulu time GMT is brilliant as is the 37mm 3 hander. This new flyback looks like it will be just as good in the flesh. Yes it is on the thicker side housing the heavily modified Valjoux 7753 base movement with the column wheel replacing the cam, flyback and the increase in power reserve amongst other requirements from Longines (the 7753 is based on the 7750 with the crown access moved 90 degrees). As this model does not have a date complication that I prefer there is no need for the 'hidden' date advance pusher at the 10 position as needed by watches that also use a 7753 base. Based on the 7753 there would not be a ghost crown date position either. As with other Spirit models it's COSC certified as you mention but the dials are the cherry on the cake. Longines clearly put a lot of effort into the design here as they have with the other Spirit models, leaving out the hour counter for instance. The hour count should you need it can be read by simply rotating the bezel to align with the hour hand when starting the chronograph. As usual Alexander great photography and clear but simple to understand narration. Many thanks for sharing, very well done as always.
@@shuycg Longines due to its clear defined role in the Swatch Group may not develop a chronograph calibre from scratch and then position it against Omega/Blancpain/Breguet/… Not for the moment at least! But Longines could and would if they where supposed to do…
@@WatchAdvisor 7750 has been around forever and is serviceable unlike most in house chronographs. It is the go to movement for most of a lower price range. It seems even thicker with the modifications of a vertical clutch and column wheel and now fly back capability. I guess the best deal for the moderately priced chronograph would be the Tudor, with the Breitling b01 movement. That is a terrific movement for the price of a Tudor chronograph.
I today ordered a blue one on a bracelet. Got a great deal with a trade in for another Spirit Longines, I unbelievably made a hefty increase on what I paid for my Spirit with the trade in, now have their latest quick release bracelet and better clasp over the original butterfly clasp, at pre price increase rate this week and also Wolf watch winder thrown in to sweeten the deal. Happy!
@@WatchAdvisor I now have it. Only criticism I have is the chronograph hand not having the red tip like the spirit chrono and the titanium model. It's a great watch and at a realistic price for this flyback feature.
Gr8 review of both variants..Bracelet would be my choice...punching way above it's weight. Go find another Flyback COSC for this price, I don't think so...Blk on Bracelet looks so classic too! Thx for the share!
Apart from it having a bit too much height - I would really love it if the 5 stars would not be on the dial. Idk why but this gives the watch a cheaper, fashion style look.
Definetly wait for the Speedy. But its not the same type of watch, even if its a chronograph as well. The Tudor, yes, but that's a bit boring really and the finishing is superior on the Spirit. Tudor doesn't have the same heritage. And no spectacle on the back of it. No flyback either. Better clasp and pins/screws. I'd pick the Spirit even at 17mm.
It's a nice watch, and I like the polished line going along the side of the case to help with alleviating some of the look of being a thick watch. I would prefer a closed case back though, seeing as it's a utility watch and a closed back might've helped shave off some thickness.
Thanks for sharing! As much I agree with you concerning the case back you should know that a majority wants one... But then of course also complains about thickness :-))
I own the Spirit Zulu Time and it’s a very good watch with a COSC movement and top of the line finishing. This watch looks great. My advice is to buy on the bracelet and buy the strap afterwards…it’s almost impossible to buy the bracelet afterwards.
@@WatchAdvisor It’s actually been a nightmare. You can’t order the bracelet online nor can you get it from the AD’s. You have to call the regional Swatch service center and go to the parts department. They seem woefully understaffed and may take hours to pick up the phone. When I did get through they frequently hung up on me. Once a live person got on it took me 1/2 an hour to explain to them what I needed. The cost is $395 +$10 shipping + tax. Once I gave them my credit card info and shipping info I thought I was done. I never received a confirmation email and there was a phantom charge of $0 put in my card. I haven’t had the spare two hours to try to call them again. There is an email option but frankly I’m not comfortable sending my card number through an email, especially since I have concerns about their competency. Too bad because the watch is great but limiting in the tan strap.
These too big, too thick comments. It isn't. That all is lmited by taste and physics. To say one can't wear this watch is hilarious. I own it since yesterday. The "thikness" is not too present. It was measured with the domed glass on top and bottom. The bottom glas sinks into your wrist. The lugs are going down fast, it wears comfortable as much as a heavy watch can be weared, and I'm liking to wear some weight, for me it presents a part of the value, which is also hilarious😂. If you like the design, the quality, you can effort it, and you have a wrist about starting 17, go to the store, try it out. Don't let yourselfe to be influenced by the "it is too thick" league. To judge about a "Giant" watch without having it really on the wrist makes no sense. Those reviews are good to get a first glance and develop some feeling about it. Again, go into the Shop and try. That will bring the true judgement. For me: is it to big? 42mm is big? There are bigger watches out. 42 sits in the middle for mens wrists. It's more a matter of taste. Taste can change. Is its too thick? No. It is thick, but as I said, at the end it doesn't look like being too thick. Also this is taste. It looks great, it is sporty and elegant at the same time, it's a flyback, and it's automatic chronometer. Just a beauty.
Hi!! Thanks a lot for the video!!! I am wondering if buying this one or the tudor chronograph black bay. What do you think??? Wich movement is better??? Thanks
The 17 mm thickness might be way too much for most people. I know it is for me, although I have 7.5 " wrist. Also, I don't see the need for the rotating bezel here. It's not a diver's feature since it is bidirectional... I don't get it. It's a great looking piece nevertheless.
The case size is big but ok-ish, I could live with it. The thickness, no way. I just dont get most swiss chronos...and people always say it's due to the movement, etc. Wel....there are chinese mechanical chronos at 38mm out there, under 15mm thick (including a domed crystal) for the likes of 200 bucks. Im sure the swiss could develop a smaller thinner movement if they wanted to - they could use their vintage movements as a starting point of development. As it is, I'd rather get a PRX chrono, thinner and less expensive.
It has the same wobble and noise as a base 7753 movement. I guess it doesn’t use a vertical clutch like the other longines modified 7753 movements with the column wheel
As mentioned in the video... the new L791.4 "Flyback" is based on the L688.4 (ETA A08.L01) which is based on the L688 which is a derivate of the Valjoux 7750 ...
@@WatchAdvisoryes I hope they do that. At 68h reserve and with improved estetic, it's worth it. Nobody would miss that rotor... My guess is this caliber is considerably smaller than the case. So it would look even better housed in a smaller case. They might use the bezel less 40 case of the Spirit. The 37 is certainly too small to house it and it would be disproportionately thick, still.
Frederic Constant have a flyback with date and exhibition back that's 13.8mm thick. Ok, only 50m water resistant. But 3.2mm for a screw down crown and extra seal... ETA needs to start from scratch. That 7750 architecture has lived its life.
@@shuycg ETA manufactures together with Rolex the BEST mass manufactured mechanical calibres. No one else is at that technical level… thickness means reliability and stability though…
@@WatchAdvisor I didn't generalized so it doesn't matter if ETA and Rolex are the best at mass produced calibers. I only observe that the 7750 base architecture is a problem. They have refined it so much but still they are strating to loose their edge due to the inherent disadvantages of the platform. In the crono landscape there are many others that have thinner calibers, with less annoying rotors, for example.
It's nice but really thick. With this design housing 13ZN soul with thinner case, it would be a perfect chrono, not even daytona would come close. Wonder if Longines would ever bring back 13ZN......
Finally someone claiming it!!! Bravo! I wanted to see and read the first comment that goes in that direction... YESSSSSSS, that would be to cool and YESSSSSSS this chronograph wouldn't compare to anything else on the market. Did you know that Günter Blümlein in the early days of A. Lange & Söhne took the calibre 13ZN as an inspiration for the design of the "Datograph" calibre?
@@WatchAdvisor "Did you know that Günter Blümlein in the early days of A. Lange & Söhne took the calibre 13ZN as an inspiration for the design of the "Datograph" calibre?" Wow, that's new to me. 13ZN is still one of the best chrono movement ever made after so many decades. Really hope that 1 day I will see the revive of 13ZN, even 30CH is good enuff to kill off competitions.
@@WatchAdvisor Yes, unfortunately. With Longines' history and long list of excellent movements, it should be up there with the big boys. Swatch is killing it.
Big pet peeve of mine is when manufactures add a cool complication at the expense of making the movement substantially thicker. It really just comes across as laziness. Also no on the fly micro adjustment is inexcusable in 2023. The blue dial is stunning though
Imagine if the Longines/Wittnauer won the moon watch competition between them, Omega and Rolex in the sixties 🫣 They would certainly be on par with Zenith today, and Omega and Longines might would have switched places in the Swatch hierarchy.
I have the Zulu time black dial. Absolutly stunning in Person but Longines....pls....can U pls start to Line Up the bezel perfect in 12 pls? Mine also slightly Off. Same in the vid and saw many more which are Offset a Millimeter
Dear Alexander, just like with the gorgeous SeaQ Chrono: everything over 14mm is automatically a reason for disqualification for me. They could have made it thinner by scrapping the automatic rotor and getting rid of the transparent case back. Just saying ;-)
Many lovely features but 17mm thickness really negatively affects the daily wearability. A nice watch for occasional casual wearing maybe? Good video as always 👍
Great review. New subscriber I'm really considering this the conquest chorono. And on a completely different itch i have a fancy to a Ball Roadmaster Pilot GMT what are your expert thoughts on Ball watches and more specifically the Roadmaster pilot?
Welcome to WatchAdvisor! Please keep us posted and let me know if you have any questions concerning the Longines … Unfortunately I can’t share my opinion concerning Ball with you since I have never had such a watch in my hands… Apologies!
@@WatchAdvisor thanks for the reply yeah not many watch enthusits know about Ball rich history from the looks of what I've read solidly built. Will keep you posted on the longines as I've bought a couple over the years. 👍
Funny timeline there, very central european: 1925, we did this. 1927, we did that. 1928, we did a thing. 1931 we made that. 1934 we did this. And from 1936-1946 nothing much happened, we uh, we were just uhh *sweating visibly* with our Canadian girlfriend in the south pole. Yeah that's it. We went on vacation to the south pole, it was very boring, no we didn't take any pictures, please no follow up questions! I'm glad they've started to downplay their connections with Lindbergh, finally.
Really like the look of the black version. However, 17mm is a fatboy (!) and why no quick adjustment on the strap? Seriously, at this price - come on Longines!
Have to agree on that quick adjustment on the fly/clasp no need to use a wood stick etc on the micro adjustment, after all 4K plus watch with push pins, never understand why does Longines cuts corners anyway, do like the watch design but it’s to big , have myself a Longines Hydroconquest 7750 2016 version half the price hand yes it’s heavy din’t sell it because was a gift, rather buy a Sinn Flieger Chronograph much better high tech no mention to COSC certified but have 4 models all are much accurate than my Longines even my Certina DS Action is more accurate any thank you for the videos, waiting for more from Geneve at Watch and Wonders fair 💯👍
Thanks for sharing! Longines offers an incredible quality for a very reasonable price… Due to the smart platform strategy of the Swatch Group Longines has access to lots of high quality components the brand can use… This is comparable to Skoda in the Volkswagen Group. The latter is an outstanding car, but sold for small money…

I tried both and the Longines won by a mile! I got the titanium (grade 5) on a bracelet for 2K less than on the Tag tacky version only available on the thin leather strap.
@@WatchAdvisorwell... How different can it be from the Spirit Chrono Pioneer? I tried that on and the dimensions are almost the same. The Pioneer is .5mm thinner at 16.5mm.
i guess if it were thinner and more wearable ..you'd have the case piece competing with swatch group brands like omega or entry level glashutte ...going by their finishing and dialwork they are certainly above the mido, tissot, hamilton and closer to the omegas ...
I really like the dial, two subdials and no date always looks very elegant compaired to the usual Layout with the date at 4. However 17 mm is just to thick for daily wearing, I used to own a Breitling superocean chronograph with the same height but had to sell it because wearing it a whole day especially during summer was a pain
@@WatchAdvisor it seems to me that the wrist expansion is greater at higher temperatures, plus the swet makes wearing big, heavy watches uncomfortable. Personally I would only buy a watch of this size again if it has some sort of quick adjustment on the bracelet. I guess a rubber strap would also solve the problem.
@@steelsteez6118 It's a trade off of having an exhibition case back instead of a solid one so you can view the calibre inside of the watch. It is tall, but unless you are planning on wearing this watch with a dress shirt with a tight cuff, I think it's fine. This watch certainly has presence on the wrist which depending on the person wearing it, you'll either like it or not.
I wish it was a full chrono. 30 minute chronos are kinda pointless unless they're made like the Omega Planet Ocean chronos that have the hour and minute counters on the same subdial.
@WatchAdvisor I time my lunches. I time how long it takes me to finish a certain task at work. I time my workouts. Most of which are "usually", not always, under 1 hour BUT I sometimes time my rides to different part of town that take more than 2 hours! And compare it from day to day. So there is a use for it.
This would have been an excellent alternative to Blancpain Air Command which is also a flyback with 42mm of diameter and looks damn similar... had it not been for the 17mm height! It's a shame that the company that invented the flyback chrono struggles this badly with case thickness.
This will never be an alternative to Blancpain since Blancpain plays in another league! Longines depends on the calibres of the Swatch Group it may use! Longines is not in the position to design/construct/manufacture a slim new chronograph calibre... If Longines did (and the brand could of course!) ... this calibre/watch would clearly intervene in the segment of Omega/Blancpain/Breguet ... and this will never happen ... #Sleepinggiant

Congratulations! Thanks for sharing! May your Spirit always show you happy seconds, minutes and hours…
Thanks for sharing! No plans to review the Conquest in the moment… May yours continue to always show you happy seconds, minutes and hours….
Chrono r always on a higher price range. And longines nail it with the attention to details and the aesthetic design is awesome. Serve well as a dress watch with a executive look.
Thanks for sharing your passion with us!
I love the history lesson actually. I may not be able to afford this, but it's still something to admire.
Never say never… I keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Perfect size, very nice watch

Lovely watch Longines are doing excellent work, quality cost still excellent.
One just needs to compare Longines watches 1:1 to other brands…
@@WatchAdvisor I do, that's why they are good value for what you get.
Thanks for sharing! Just in case you once try the chronograph please share some thoughts with us...
Top LONGINES!
Value for the money + excellent quality!
17mm is a but thick, even for me. 42mm Dia is a perfect size, however. Any chance Longines will offer a hand-wound version? This watch is absolutely stunning!
Hand-wound version would diminish the thickness - yes!
@@WatchAdvisor also getting rid of the rear exhibition crystal
@@steelsteez6118 Yep!
This Longines will definitely be on the wish list.
Please keep us posted and let me know if you have any questions...
Thank you for adding these interesting details and your kind feedback!
Hammer, ist die schön! 😍

I would love it if they did a split seconds function in the future.
I expect more interesting calibres to follow in the Spirit collection...
Sometimes a big beefy watch has it own unique charm.
I couldn't agree more!!!
17mm thick? !!!
I'd love to see a reissue of that Italian Navy Chronograph.
One definitely needs to try this chronograph on the wrist before judging the thickness...
I like that Longines gives so much value for the price. I also feel this watch is just a little thick as are all the 7750 based movements.
Yes, this is mostly caused by the 7750 based calibre ... But you get an almost indestructible top calibre!
@@WatchAdvisorno, they get better profit margins by not spending on development from scratch.
@@shuycg Longines due to its clear defined role in the Swatch Group may not develop a chronograph calibre from scratch and then position it against Omega/Blancpain/Breguet/… Not for the moment at least! But Longines could and would if they where supposed to do…
I have a Rado with a 7770 in it, and while quite thick, it’s UFO-like case shape makes it work.
Happy!
Thanks for sharing, please keep us posted....
@@WatchAdvisor I now have it. Only criticism I have is the chronograph hand not having the red tip like the spirit chrono and the titanium model. It's a great watch and at a realistic price for this flyback feature.
It can't be this huge and "vintage"
Gr8 review of both variants..Bracelet would be my choice...punching way above it's weight. Go find another Flyback COSC for this price, I don't think so...Blk on Bracelet looks so classic too! Thx for the share!
Thanks for sharing your passion and thoughts with us!
Very nice if I hadn’t have picked up my Hydroconquest Chronograph last year this would definitely be a contender
The chronograph will be part of the collection for a long time... 😜 So it's never too late!
Apart from it having a bit too much height - I would really love it if the 5 stars would not be on the dial. Idk why but this gives the watch a cheaper, fashion style look.
The five stars a re a historical symbol of excellency at Longines and NOT "a cheaper, fashion style look."
17mm thick 😬 beautiful looking watch though. This or the Tudor panda Alex 🤔 personally I would save some more and get a Speedmaster 👌🏼
Try them all on your wrist and then let your heart decide... Thats the best advice I can give you...
@@shuycg interesting read 😉
It's a nice watch, and I like the polished line going along the side of the case to help with alleviating some of the look of being a thick watch. I would prefer a closed case back though, seeing as it's a utility watch and a closed back might've helped shave off some thickness.
Thanks for sharing! As much I agree with you concerning the case back you should know that a majority wants one... But then of course also complains about thickness :-))
from top it’s a fantastic looking watch but to be honest 17mm is 4mm to thick in my opinion. By the way nice review
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us and your kind feedback!
nice balanced watch, thickness does not matter
Have you been able to try the chronograph on your wrist?
@@WatchAdvisor yes!! it fits good on my 17.5cm wrist!
I own the Spirit Zulu Time and it’s a very good watch with a COSC movement and top of the line finishing. This watch looks great. My advice is to buy on the bracelet and buy the strap afterwards…it’s almost impossible to buy the bracelet afterwards.
Thanks for sharing, that's valuable input....

For people with normal wrist sizes I would recommend Sinn 356 Flieger Chronograph in 38.5mm.
Thanks for sharing your passion with us!
The vintage Longines look superb design wise. For this one, Longines must get it down to 41mm x 14mm
This could happen with a manually wound version of the calibre… but not with a newly designed calibre…
The watch featured here is very nice, but too bulky for me. But holy cow, the vintage models shown were freakin stunning! I want me some of those.
Thanks for sharing! Yes Longines has a VERY rich history!
Looks great, really cool that Longines has produced another Flyback! Too big for my small wrist but I really appreciate this model
Still give it a chance and try the chronograph... you never know...
A lovely watch.
It would be nice if it was 44 mm and green.
Still it's a nice looking chunky watch in either colour.
Presentation as expected.
I expect more dial colors to follow soon...

The 17 mm thickness might be way too much for most people. I know it is for me, although I have 7.5 " wrist. Also, I don't see the need for the rotating bezel here. It's not a diver's feature since it is bidirectional... I don't get it. It's a great looking piece nevertheless.
Thanks for sharing! The bezel can be used for timing...
Looks really cool, but unfortunately the height makes it impossible to wear this comfortably
You should still give it a try on your wrist… don’t forget that also the boxes sapphire crystal adds some height…
do you know if this movement has a vertical clutch modification?
It is a column wheel mechanism, with vertical clutch with oscillating pinion and novel self-adjusting two-armed reset hammer…
Great review as always.....
Thanks again! Any thoughts about the chronograph?
With this design housing 13ZN soul with thinner case, it would be a perfect chrono, not even
daytona would come close.
You know where Longines is positioned in the Swatch Group? Longines easily could and would do so… there must be a clear distance to Omega… 😉
@@WatchAdvisor Yes, unfortunately. With Longines' history and long list of excellent movements, it should be up there with the big boys. Swatch is killing it.
NO! Nicolas G. Hayek saved Longines... Longines wouldn't be there anymore...
Big pet peeve of mine is when manufactures add a cool complication at the expense of making the movement substantially thicker. It really just comes across as laziness. Also no on the fly micro adjustment is inexcusable in 2023. The blue dial is stunning though
ETA calibres aren't the smallest/thinnest - yes! BUT they are accurate, reliable and extreme robust
Imagine if the Longines/Wittnauer won the moon watch competition between them, Omega and Rolex in the sixties 🫣 They would certainly be on par with Zenith today, and Omega and Longines might would have switched places in the Swatch hierarchy.
It was Nicolas G. Hayek who decided that Longines should rank under Omega within the group he created and today is called the "Swatch Group"...
I have the Zulu time black dial. Absolutly stunning in Person but Longines....pls....can U pls start to Line Up the bezel perfect in 12 pls? Mine also slightly Off. Same in the vid and saw many more which are Offset a Millimeter
you can't see one millimetre with your eyes...
@@WatchAdvisor U definitly can See when ITS Offset. And thats annyoning If u pay that price

Very nice watch... Should be called "Fatboy Flyback".. I like it ❤

Dear Alexander, just like with the gorgeous SeaQ Chrono: everything over 14mm is automatically a reason for disqualification for me. They could have made it thinner by scrapping the automatic rotor and getting rid of the transparent case back. Just saying ;-)
I hear you 🤷🏻♂️
Many lovely features but 17mm thickness really negatively affects the daily wearability. A nice watch for occasional casual wearing maybe? Good video as always 👍
Thickness is relative... you need to try the watch oil your wrist first...
Can you press the chronograph under the water without risking water leaking in?
One should not operate the push pieces under water.

Really like the look of the black version. However, 17mm is a fatboy (!) and why no quick adjustment on the strap? Seriously, at this price - come on Longines!
"Quick adjustment on the strap?" What do you mean?
Very reminiscent of a Tag Heuer Autavia Flyback, at a much lower price. I'd say a good value.
What's up with the thickness? It's thicker than my ex's rear end
No one of you has seen the watch in real yet .... it is too early to discuss this... you need to try the chronograph first...
@@WatchAdvisorwell... How different can it be from the Spirit Chrono Pioneer? I tried that on and the dimensions are almost the same. The Pioneer is .5mm thinner at 16.5mm.
That's a good argument! Still... one should try the chronograph...
i guess if it were thinner and more wearable ..you'd have the case piece competing with swatch group brands like omega or entry level glashutte ...going by their finishing and dialwork they are certainly above the mido, tissot, hamilton and closer to the omegas ...
Longines is much better than that! You should discover the "new" Longines... Share some feedback thereafter with us please...
Can the Flyback hand change to be the seconds hand?
Of course you can use the chronograph seconds hand as your running seconds hand …
Yes but, more wear on the movement and chronographs are expensive to service..
Thanks for sharing, but what happened in summer?
@@WatchAdvisor it seems to me that the wrist expansion is greater at higher temperatures, plus the swet makes wearing big, heavy watches uncomfortable. Personally I would only buy a watch of this size again if it has some sort of quick adjustment on the bracelet.
I guess a rubber strap would also solve the problem.
I have a lot of love for Longines. These new releases are wonderful. Since I prefer 40-42mm watches, I don't have a problem with the size of these.
Once you tried them share some thoughts with us please… 😉
Do you have a problem with the 17mm thickness though? That's the real question.

17 cm / 6,7 in
Nice watch but clearly to thick with 17mm, IMO. Can be made better. (In general a problem with Loninges: Too thick watches).
This is caused by the 7750 based calibre ... But you get an almost indestructible technology!
Verstehe! Danke, bleib dran und melde Dich gerne wieder hier...
I wish it was a full chrono. 30 minute chronos are kinda pointless unless they're made like the Omega Planet Ocean chronos that have the hour and minute counters on the same subdial.
What kind of long timing are you doing with your chronographs?
